Our group of 4 adults had a perfect stay with Agnes. She responded quickly to emails for setting up our reservation, connected with us before we arrived, and was always availble when we needed help. Her guest house is lovely, with marvelous pieces of wood furniture, great new bathrooms, and a lounge area for us to spread out for relaxing. The kitchen access was also useful, with the fridge to store fruit and wine overnight. Agnes herself is delightful and clearly knows Strasbourg deeply. Our visit was quick, but she pointed us to the essential highlights and helped us navigate the public transit system efficiently. Breakfasts were superb, with great fresh breads (multiple varieties), homemade jams, and honey from her own bees! We enjoyed the cheeses and pastries as well, and could have stuffed ourselves further with good cereals and eggs. We hope to visit again soon!

We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay when visiting Strasbourg. Tucked away in a quiet residential street Le Stoeckli is the perfect base from which to explore Strasbourg and the surrounding area. Convenient for the local, inexpensive bus service into central Strasbourg within 10 minutes. A selection of restaurants within walking distance, free car parking and to top it all fantastic accommodation. Agnes and Benoit Coudry have created a clean, comfortable and relaxing guest house which is also available as a gite. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with superb en suite bathrooms. There is a comfortable lounge and free use of the kitchen for making tea and coffee. Agnes is a brilliant hostess with lots of useful tips and advice. She and her husband live in the house next door so staying in this B&B feels like being in your own home with the ability to come and go as you please. It’s not often you find a gem such as this. Will definitely stay here again.

Our experience at Le Stoeckli was nothing short of superb. Agnes, our gracious host, made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Agnes went above and beyond in every imaginable way. She came out at night in the freezing cold to meet us at the train station and escort us back to the B&B, so we wouldn't get lost with the bus system. Every day she checked timetables for us, gave us maps and directions, advice and suggestions that made our stay run so smoothly! Agnes gave us a lift to the station when we set off to explore Colmar for the day. Her breakfasts were incredible, with so much variety and food was plentiful and delicious. Her home made hot chocolate and honey were the ultimate in indulgence. As you can see, Le Stoeckli's best asset is the kind and gracious host. But the accommodation itself is amazing. We had so much space in our two bedrooms, two bathrooms plus use of the lounge as well! The bathrooms were amazing! The bedrooms large and comfortable. Public transport into the city centre was easy. Just a short walk to bus stop and 7 stops in. Agnes had pre-purchased travel cards for us and we reimbursed her at the end of our stay. It made it so easy, not having to worry about which travel tickets to get. Agnes provided delicious Christmas treats and we truly felt as if we were staying with a relative... not someone who we had just met. I highly recommend Le Stoeckli accommodation and a stay in beautiful Strasbourg.

We were 3-adults, we stayed at Stoeckli for 2-nights recently. I cannot recommend this BnB enough-- it was simply wonderful-- nicely furnished, decently priced, Agnes is a great hostess-- helpful, approachable, spacious, and a great breakfast was laid out, too. We were very comfortable here, and would definitely return should we come to Strasbourg again.

"The bee's knees" is an American expression from the 1920's that means the height of excellence, ça veut dire la meilleure, le sommet, la perfection absolue! That is the experience you will have if you choose to stay at Le Stoeckli. Agnès is a wonderful hostess, amazing baker, and a lovely person. Not to mention that she actually is a beekeeper and serves her homemade Kougelhopf and brioche with honey from her own bees! We could not have felt more welcomed. The rooms are immaculate, and comfortable, as well as beautifully decorated. Agnès and Benoit live next door in this lovely neighborhood that is easily reached by bus from the center of town. Staying at Le Stoeckli and meeting Agnès was one of the highlights of my trip to France!

It was a delight to stay here. The house is arranged with taste and affection inspired by the region. Mme Coudry was very welcoming and helpful, and has a knowledge and passion for the culture and history of the region that is contagious. There are 2 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms, then there is a comfortable shared lounge and well-appointed kitchen. The breakfast was delicious, with a selection of breads, home-made jams, cheese, fruit, and coffee. This is a good place to stay if you are driving because it is relatively easy to navigate to, and there is street parking available all day (although you need to be a confident reverse parker and it is an advantage to have a small car). It is easy to get to the city by bus - route 4 and 4A pass very close by, and it is just 2EUR per journey. You can pay as you go or buy a few tickets in advance and use them as you go by validating the ticket for the journey in the small slot near the driver. I also found it easy to explore the region from here - it was easy to get onto and off the motorways on the days I used my car, and the bus route also takes you close to the main gare if you want to take a train somewhere.

We chose to stay a short distance out of the main tourist area of Strasbourg. Found Le Stoeckli and we stayed 3 nights. What a find !! We were greeted by Agnes and later met Benoit. It is a house with two rooms to rent and a spacious sitting room with TV and kitchen to make a cup of tea any time . Agnes is a delight to meet. All the usual expectations are covered. Clean , lovely breakfast , quiet location in a nice suburb. The real delight here was learning about some aspects of life in Strasbourg including meeting a German delegate to the European Parliament who stayed at the same time. Agnes keeps bees and we learnt a great deal about that interest of hers. The bus or tram into the city was very easy. Catching the tram with the locals added to the experience. One morning Agnes even drove us into the city so we could be in time for train. This is not just a B&B , it is a wonderful life experience and we enjoyed our stay and meeting Agnes. It was one of the treasured times of travelling. I cannot recommend Le Stoeckli highly enough.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Le Stoeckli! Agnes could not have been more helpful! She has completely remodeled this guest house and it is beautiful! Breakfast was delicious as well! Public transportation to Strasbourg was about 5 minutes away. We liked being able to park for free on the street.

We had a great welcome from Agnes at Le Stoeckli with lots of helpful information on how to get into Strasbourg and where to eat. We were travelling as two couples so had the house to ourselves which was nice and relaxing. The bedrooms were very comfortable with spacious bathrooms. It was also very helpful to have free parking right opposite the house. We were on a cycling tour so cycling into Strasbourg or getting the bus was easy, and getting a taxi back if preferred is very reasonable. The breakfast was lovely with Agnes’s homemade local speciality cake and jams and honey. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Strasbourg.

Mme Stoeckli was gracious and extremely accommodating, even though we arrived earlier in the day than we expected. She was extremely helpful and informative. We ended up taking the tram into downtown Strasbourg and throroughly enjoyed the adventure. Le Stoekli is, indeed, tucked away in a residential area in Schiltigheim, but the area is fairly easy to negotiate by car, bus, or tram (streetcar). She recommended the Cheval Blanc, a nearby restaurant with an accommodating staff, cold beer, and regional cuisine (the flambé was awesome). As captured in other reviews, the room was filled with antique furniture with a large comfortable beds and great amenities. Mme's breakfast with breads, jams, honey, cereal, juices and coffee -- not to mention her specially-made kugelhopf -- was absolutely superb. The parking was on the street, but the the Mme actually moved her car so we could fit ours in! We would recommend this place to anyone!
