Casa Rural is such a nice place, we had spent 3 previous nights in Agaete but due to issues with flights another hotel was required. We reserved the room over the phone and on arrival were met by the very attentive hotel manager who spoke excellent English [ great as our Spanish is in progress}. What a fantastic find, quaint,...

We stayed here for 2 nights as it was close to the Guayadeque valley, a lovely walk, and the airport. The hotel was close to the Historic Centre, bars and cafes so was in a pleasant setting. The breakfast was varied and good quality - by far the best aspect of the hotel's facilities. The staff in the dining room...

Although this hotel undoubtedly possesses a certain "olde world" charm due to the lovely old stone buildings and the charming inner courtyard gardens, it is a trifle primitive and there are certain things which I missed such as a comfortable bed, a modern bathroom and shower, Wifi in the room and possibly a kettle for making tea or coffee. A...

Situated in the historical centre of the village of Aguimes, The Camel House is exactly how I expected a Canarian rural house to look. Attractive inner court yard with palms and fruit trees. Interesting and quiet corners to sit in the communal areas, traditionally decorated and furnished. Our room was on the first floor, a delux room but not exactly...

Could only stay one night on this occasion but I was won over by the beautiful veranda, retro room phones, comfortable beds, polished wooden flooring and enormous avocado tree growing up in the middle of the riyadh-style building. I will return next month - partly because I left my journal in my room and I'm hoping they have kept it!!!

This is definitely the nicest place to stay in Aguimes, which is a very cute historic little mountain town. Los Camellos is right in the Old Town, just a minute's walk from the main church and square but on a small, quiet street. Room was antique in style, very clean, comfortable and spacious. Two interior courtyards with trees. An ample...

It was a puzzle finding this hotel but the large bronze figure of a camel in the street beside it gave us a clue! We were welcomed warmly and efficiently and taken to our room on the first floor. (No lift, but staff willingly manhandled suitcases). Room 4 was off a balconied landing serving a few other rooms, each with...

The other reviews have got it right- quirky and charming. Rooms old fashioned but comfortable. Wifi not in the rooms, but in café, which was fine with us. The man at reception very nice, and helped us with our cycle suitcases. This is a good base for a few day's cycling, before going into interior.

We chose this hotel because it is in a small Spanish town and not one of the large, sit in the sun, all inclusive, monstrosities in Gran Canaria. We were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpfull. Our room was excellent, spotless and well appointed. On site is a Cafe/restaurant where breakfast is...

The rooms are antique, the patios are cool and beautiful and the staff is charming and friendly, albeit not always fluent in English. If there ever were two things to dislike, then it is the beds, which are hard and the breakfast, which was okay, but missed a more personal, regional touch. Don't bother searching for the Oroval Restaurant inside...

“Although the village is really small, there is quite a lot of noise coming from the street (mostly people chatting - there is no traffic), so if you want a perfectly quiet room the ones facing the courtyard a re possibly better.”
