We very much enjoyed our visit to the Scorpion Bay Hotel despite being the only people in the hotel & the bar/restaurant being closed in the evening. Our room (Mirador) on the upper floor was a good size & the king size bed very comfortable. The bathroom was huge & all was very clean & quiet. The outside public areas were very pretty with hammocks & seating & attractive gardens. Parking was within the hotel grounds & safe. The included breakfast -especially the homemade granola & yoghurt - was delicious & we had a cooked breakfast in our last morning which was also good. We would return & stay again. Thank you.

As a hotel owner in Cabo San Lucas I went to get away with my cat Ian and mate for a few days. I had a friend suggest this hotel so I called the morning of departure and inquired as to occ and what was available. The person said someone would call me right back and he did. Joey reserved me rooms and off we went. Upon arrival anxious to get in the water I was greeted by Alejandra Borrelli one of the owners. She immediately made us welcome and suggested we leave our stuff and get in the water and we can do the rest later (big for a hotel guy....first ten minutes are the most important ). We surfed and came back to a great laid back wonderful diner upstairs in the breeze and were immediately treated like family. They had long boards for us as it was small but if you have never been here I can guarantee you it the best right hand point you have ever seen. With no cell coverage in most places and a town small enough that they all say hello and recognize your truck it became very special very fast. Alejandra and staff are really great and this is my go to spot. Owning the Bahia hotel in cabo we will recommend to all our guests (which we don’t do often) to go here. If you care about Realestate they have the last development parcel with a very cool sustainable model.....I’m going to back to have a look. Thanks again girls and my guys are still talking about it

I was able to spend a week down in San Juanico and stay at the Scorpion Bay Hotel with my family for the swell. This was may first time there so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is in the perfect location, a short walk from first point, and right next to a couple stores where you can buy food and beers. I am new to surfing so didn't have my own board to bring but luckily the hotel had longboards that worked out perfectly for me. The staff was very friendly and made us feel like family. The environment is great for families, and kids of all ages. It felt like a luxury having running water and electricity that worked so well. The restaurant was also great and our food always came out so quickly. Overall we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent stay at the hotel this past July. We stayed in the Palapa room which was clean and met our expectations. Short five minute drive out to second point where we surfed everyday. You could walk to 1st point in 5 minutes from the property. The wifi is bad but to be expected somewhere so remote that only has electrical in the evening. If your in San Juanico who needs internet! The food was excellent at the new restaurant there on the property. Also, board rental options are good and we even rented beach chairs and an umbrella for chilling at 2nd point. Nice touch! Aside from renting a house this is your best option for staying somewhere comfortable in San Juanico. I would return. Thanks Joey and staff for a great time.

This is such a great place to stay. The breakfast is so good and the staff are super helpful. If you're going to San Juanico with kids, this is one of the few places that has AC and they have a generator when the city power is off.

Had a really nice stay in San Juanico in February. It was our first time and we didn't know what to expect but I found this place online and booked it. San Juanico itself was quite a bit more low key than we were expecting especially in February which is slow season. There were hardly any places to eat and really nothing to do other than go to the beach. The surf was small because it was February but there were long waves that seemed like it would be a good place to learn. This hotel is just about a block off the beach and is quite lovely. The grounds are very well kept with lots of cool plants and all the little casita buildings are really nice looking. We were the only guests but it seems like a fun place to go with a group. There was a restaurant/bar upstairs which was closed but we were allowed to hang out and play pool in there anyways. It was really nice that even though we were the only guests they still set out a continental breakfast for us each morning. One thing we were not anticipating was that there is only electricity for certain hours of the day, which seems to change periodically but while we were there it was something like no electricity from 11am to 5pm and then from 11pm to 7am. If you're out and about its not really a big deal. We came from Mulege via San Isidro and then went back via the north road which was a long but beautiful offload adventure.

This hotel has a friendly and accommodating staff. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and well maintained. The standard breakfast was good with the home made granola, but the made-to-order omelets were awesome. It took a while to get used to the electricity schedule, but it was so relaxing to be away from Internet and phone service. We would definitely return...soon.

Myself and four others decided to fly down to Loreto over the 4th of July weekend and make the 3 hour drive over to San Juanico. In the past I have driven from the States and camped. This would be the first time I stepped-it-up and paid to stay in a hotel. Staying at the Scorpion Bay Hotel was easy. The grounds and rooms are beautiful and staff was extremely helpful and friendly. And, considering the infrastructure in the town is poor, things like hot water and electricity seemed to run pretty smooth. When booking the trip, I was concerned about not having things like longboards and beach equipment, but the Hotel had a good mix of boards and equipment to rent so we didn't have to lug down a bunch of extra stuff for a just a few days. Lastly, we lucked out that there was plenty of swell during our pre-planned trip which made everything that much better. I'll definitely being doing some more long weekend trips flying and driving via the Loreto route and staying at the Scorpion Bay Hotel.

Beautiful rooms with every detail thought of. Awesome service from Rosa Luz (the manager) and her staff. Great breakfast included too. NOT your typical continental fair. We're talking a good legit yummy breakfast with lots of options. Pool table upstairs too.
