Spent four nights here and had a wonderful time. Out of the way and peaceful, stunning views, charming beautifully decorated spacious rooms, scrupulously clean, friendly host, breakfast of local produce and tasty cakes.

Even if you are a passionate and well experienced traveller having seen already the most beautiful parts of the world, there are only a few spots like Castanar Nazari which we would certainly call a perfect destination to travel to. For us it's one of the places we suddenly felt in love with from the very beginning of beeing heartily...

We were lucky to spend a night in this beautiful little boutique hotel in the Sierra Nevada to celebrate our anniversary. Felix and his wife were so welcoming and even went to the trouble of a little card and flowers to wish us a happy anniversary. The room was probably one of the best we've ever stayed in, very large...

If you love the outdoors and exploring tiny villages in a quieter part of Spain (at least at the end of May 2016), this is a place to go. Felix and his wife, Encarna, could not be more friendly and welcoming. They love this place, and life in general, and their enthusiasm in contagious. My wife and I stayed 2...

We had a lovely few days at El Castanar Nazari. The hosts were very attentive, lighting a fire for us each day when the weather was chilly! We had a lovely big room and started each day with a delicious breakfast.

Great hotel with big comfortable rooms, excellent service and great breakfast. Nice garden and beautiful surroundings. A walk in the neighborhood along the levadas to Trevelez or from Trevelez up til Siente Lagunas, is highly recommended. We´ll love to come back!

After 20 days history, Cathedrals and musea, we wished to spent some walking days in the Alpujarras. (Sierra Nevada) El Castar Nazari is quitly located in the mountains at 10 Km from a village with restaurants. There are not many rooms, but we really enjoyed the spacious beautifull rooms with all modern comfort and the large comfortable bathroom. Breakfast was...

My husband and I recently spent 2 memorable and romantic nights at this charming, quirky, and also rather luxurious hotel! The setting is simply stunning, with nothing to see for miles around but the Sierra Nevada mountains. The rooms are all individually designed and furnished to a very high standard (we stayed in el alamo, but would have been more...

A wonderful introduction to Las Alpujarras! We stayed three nights (April 23-25) and wish it could have been longer. Our room (El Cerezo) was spacious with luxurious fittings (robes, slippers, candles, his/hers reading-in-the-dark lights; a very comfortable king-size bed; big sitting area, desk, extra armchair; and all you could wish for in a large bathroom; and wide flat TV. Didn't...
