While Gitavillage California hotel boasts attentive lifeguards and reception staff, many guests find the restaurant service inconsistent. Travelers commend the overall cleanliness, yet some areas seem to need attention. The rooms receive mixed reviews, with space being both praised and critiqued, and maintenance issues noted. Reviewers warn of the value not meeting expectations, referencing overpriced services and underwhelming accommodations. Despite some outdated amenities and occasional overcrowding, the range of amenities is generally appreciated. However, the uninviting spa atmosphere and presence of pests detract from the experience.

As a village it looks very pretty, reception staff very helpful and kind. Of this village I evaluated a lot the serene environment of true relaxation, the pool clean and well managed with the mandatory use of headphones and not using balls in the water. I found the beach nice and well managed. What I did not appreciate was the parking of cars without a shelter and very far from the houses with some roads at least in the area where we were not paved but sand and earth roads. I booked the spa but it was very disappointing because the environment was not presented as it should be, no essence that characterizes a relaxation area but smell of musty not to mention the cleanliness that we did not see in fact we immediately left. The massage room did not look like it at all indeed I wanted to escape out of respect for the masseuse I did not do it where however she was professional in her work. Too bad how structure should make much more inside and not present such an environment deluding the customer of a "good relaxation". In other campsites I visited the spas were presented very well cared for. For the rest the village is very nice and well equipped houses clean and well run. Un’esperienza carina!

We stayed at this campsite as a family after visiting numerous others from the same Village tour group. The village is certainly very large, well looked after, we stayed in brand new mobile homes equipped with every comfort. The sea is certainly not great, but the beach is wide and easily accessible. The alternative to the sea is certainly the swimming pool, which is beautiful and large but not perfectly managed, first of all because there are few sunbeds and umbrellas in relation to the number of guests in the village, and above all it is not particularly clean.... We had noticed a halo of dirt along the profile of the pool walls that outline the water level and one morning we noticed that one of the children was busy scraping the dirt off the pool walls with a sponge just while the guests were inside the pool swimming pool, and honestly this scene bothered me a lot, because I believe that that work should have been done when the swimming pool closes, preventing all people from coming into contact with that slime and above all cleaning the water adequately, but we realized that the swimming pool was dirty also because a lot of sand and earth has accumulated on the bottom over the days. The really sore point, however, concerns the animation, which in our opinion is truly inadequate. A note of merit to the 4 female animators who, despite what was evident in their experience, showed interest and desire to do things, but both the head animator and both male animators were inadequate because they were disinterested and superficial. Overall, the entertainment was mainly an improvisation without managing to involve the numerous guests, in particular the numerous children, who paradoxically preferred to be with their parents instead of being with the animators. Since parents also choose these types of villages to socialize their children, as well as to relax, the experience was not particularly pleasant for us. Both the entertainment group and the management of the swimming pool need to be modified, otherwise the structure has excellent potential

In camper from 24/08 to 08/09 with 2 children aged 6 and 8. I would happily give 5 stars but, considering it easier to improve than maintain the top of the ranking, I'll stop at 4. First impact: compared to others, a huge expanse of greenery manically cared for every day, comfortable pitches in the shade of the pine forest with daily harvesting of pine nuts, sea and beach normally clean even after 2 days of storms. I read that many complain about the prices in the market and in the restaurant. Given that I consider catering and retail to be like a business, it fails and does not pay its employees if it does not make a profit!!! For the market the prices are above average but the nearest discount store is over 4km away. The restaurant deserves a separate note: excellent service and, no one talks about it, excellent quality and generous portions. Entertainment: both with the mini club and in the human relationship they worked until the last day without being intrusive, both the daily and evening programming was good. The swimming pool is excellent except for the lifeguards....I have come to hate those who have equipped them with a whistle!!! It's true, we Italians don't read the regulations and, if we read them, we don't want to respect them. Despite the bans I saw people enter the water with balls, mattresses and a 1.80 meter inflatable dolphin!!! However, all this does not justify the reckless use of whistles!!! I very few times saw the lifeguard lift his butt off the chair to go and explain the rules. Allow me some advice for improvement: add a plastic collection bin and a glass bell jar, it is not very edifying to see piles of plastic and bottles next to the overflowing containers; I believe that the "ecological island" of the campsite is also a qualifying point for the entire structure. Of those I saw, none of the fire extinguishers bore the six-monthly testing plate and I saw one (by chance...) unloaded positioned in one of the areas reserved for barbecues.

The village is well done and organized at least for the villa solutions that I was able to try. However, it requires greater care and improvement on some significant aspects. Above all, the cleanliness of the bed and bathroom was unsatisfactory and with a poor supply of hygiene products (paper, shampoo, soap). Each guest must clean the cottage before leaving it and this is enough to imagine the conditions (there were many ants in the kitchenette). Services are also in short supply: the telephone line is not good and the wifi is not very efficient, consequently, since TVs are not installed, it is not possible to make up for it on your own. Finally, the internal restaurant and bar are a little too expensive for the menus offered. In summary, you can find better for the asking price.

The structure is surrounded by greenery, really beautiful, clean beach and a stone's throw away, we stayed in one of the very, very cute little houses with a wooden patio. The minimarket has a bit high prices and little choice but it's ok, there are bars and restaurants available here too with very high prices but we still couldn't wait to go to the bar and find the legendary Asia which after the second time he already saw us, he knew and remembered what we wanted, but what does he do with all the people who pass by?? Congratulations truly, it was a nice holiday

We spent two weeks in a mobile home. The campsite is well located in a pine forest and therefore well shaded. The setting is pretty. However, we regret that the beach is not suitable for very young children (lots of waves and sloping beach). The swimming pool is superb and cool. A big downside however for the compulsory wearing of the swimming cap (what's the point if the footbath and shower are not respected?) Big downside also for the music in the swimming pool from 4 p.m. which is extremely loud (no music in the morning ). Same at the beach, in the morning the music is much too loud for us.
We had a great time at this very family-friendly campsite. Too bad most of the hosts don't speak English.

We camped in this structure a week in late August, in a tent. The pitches are located under the pine forest, are well shaded and spacious, but, despite the Reservation made well in advance (in January), we found ourselves among the seasonal campers or caravans, long-time acquaintances, often gathered at tables of 30 people gathered late. We found the sea very dirty, at the expense of a wide beach and protected by Mediterranean scrub. In this regard we found the free beach much more inviting than the equipped one, crowded and chaotic also because of the animation.
Returning to the campsite structure the two widely advertised swimming pools are also beautiful. However there is no area with high water and every point is accessible by walking. The children's pool is large and also has comfortable slides in masonry. The real problem arises from the fact that access is not for the exclusive use of guests, but for anyone who pays a daily admission, without capacity limit. In fact, it seemed very strange to find ourselves with the campsite increasingly empty and the pools overflowing with people who could not put the towels even on a sunbed. The domestic market is very expensive with a very poor overall product quality. Also bad restaurant: unjustified prices (18 € a plate with cutlet and chips), pizzas in the norm and listless staff (the waiter who served us at the table showed up with a toothpick in his mouth).
The public facilities (bathrooms, showers and washrooms) are quite dated. Both the bathrooms, and the showers are very narrow, as far as cleaning is concerned, I'm not sure, but I think that these places with high attendance, must be cleaned constantly (hourly cleaning with posted tables): obviously nothing similar happened.
Instead I want to spend an appreciation for the animation guys who have proved to be good and engaging and able to always propose different activities.

Campsite with infinite potential but which remains discreet due to many shortcomings.
The structure is beautiful surrounded by greenery and the sea. Everything is tidy and clean with an impeccably maintained English lawn.
The first big sore point is the bar. Scandalous. Sandwiches in bags and packaged ice cream, non-existent aperitif. Inside it was suffocating heat even at 7 in the morning and non-existent service.
A croissant stuffed with Nutella costs 3 euros, a can of coke costs 4 euros.
The beach is beautiful and large and the sea is splendid, it's a shame not to make it perfect. There are no showers on the beach and the kiosk/bar is tiny and doesn't serve food (it opens at 10am and closes at 7pm...with the amount of people there at the campsite it could be bigger and offer more (I'm not saying dinner but at least an aperitif)
Only one person works there and naturally he can't perform miracles (although it's true that 2 can't fit in that niche)
The Comfort houses (!) do not have a bidet and have a tiny fridge (the houses can accommodate up to 5 people!)
It's a shame because the structure of the campsite is dreamlike
The restaurant is perfect, a little expensive but it's just a shame that it doesn't offer pizzas for lunch or quick gastronomy for lunches
The market doesn't make up for it because, apart from low-quality cheeses and pickles, it doesn't offer ready-made food
The prices are those of the campsite market and I don't discuss them but if there was more choice I would have considered purchasing it since the nearest supermarkets are 10 minutes away by car.
The entertainment guys work hard and are really very kind, but it's a pity that sports tournaments are not organized daily for the 7-12 age group (only on Tuesdays there is five-a-side football where there are too many of them and on Mondays table tennis which has only one field game does not allow many to participate)
I have never seen guards around to enforce rest rules or for those who ride bikes or scooters without any respect for others.

Little house , with poor maintenance , broken doors , rickety bed , wardrobe with absent board etc .. etc .., as soon as we entered we had to call maintenance twice , dirty public toilets and free of hand soap and toilet paper .. from the description crystal clear sea , which is not true and, the campsite has a part equipped beach (sufficiently clean ) and a part free (dirty). Animation, you notice a lot of inexperience of the boys, and their head animator, besides the unlikable presenter, who laughs alone at his bad jokes, does nothing else. Animation is slow static and really boring , in a week two games and many group dances , proposed activities leave alone ... Kids who have no idea what they're doing, but left to their own devices, pool park... Where???? , perhaps they have never seen a swimming pool park , here there are two pools , one adult and one child , where the adult pool is not able to hold either in the water pool or on the pool beds, a tenth of the guests present . the bar .. in the evening there are three wonderful boys , professional, prepared but at 24 forced to close , the market , friendly and welcoming staff, well stocked and with adequate prices at a camping market .
The spa, sauna and steam room closed, because it's hot, but only open during the summer, something doesn't add up, and here too you can't breathe the smell of clean, plus after a treatment you can't take a shower because broken ..
Many had told me about this place , so much so that I wondered , maybe something has changed in management this year ?

I stayed at this property with my partner for four nights in a "comfort villa". We were at first very impressed by the large green spaces that the village offers, the large swimming pool and the proximity to the sea (which is not much). Enthusiastic, the first night we decided to have dinner in the restaurant that is inside and unfortunately we could not have made a more wrong choice: the bad staff, unfriendly, treated us with sufficiency, without ever making a half smile. We decide to take after an ice cream in the adjacent bar and in the same way we found ourselves in front of a rude staff, a first impression that unfortunately we had the opportunity to confirm in the following days of the stay.
We will not return and will not recommend it, because if it is true that there is attention to the care of outdoor environments, the reception of the customer is, in our opinion, zero.
