Fantastic hotel with great staff. Special mention for Richy, the Tui fitness instructor whose classes are really worth doing, especially as the food in this hotel is amazing, I definitely needed to burn off some calories. Love the AI and lovely to have bottled wine included which is really good quality. There is so much choice in the restaurant, fresh, hot and well presented, although sadly some guests did not dress up for dinner but most did. All the staff here are lovely and attentive. As a solo traveller I felt very relaxed and at ease and love that it is adults only. Rooms are comfortable with amazing views and very spacious. A definite plus is having sun beds on the balcony although there was never a problem finding a free one if you fancy a dip and direct access to the beach. I honestly could not find anything negative and hope to return later in the year. Easy to park which is a definite plus in this area. Gracias to Norberto for all his help, hope to see you soon!

Really enjoyable week, we wished it could have been two. Very clean hotel with good food, the pools were also good. Our room was superb, ground floor with terrace and grass area, room 0105, definitely recommended. The food is discussed in many reviews, we thought it was very good, but, and there is a but, it was not well organised. Breakfast and dinner are in the main dining area situated under the pool. However, this means you cannot eat outdoors for those two meals, which is a big miss for us. Lunch is a mess, it isn’t 5 star and meant I could only justify 4 on here. Whilst lunch is outside, it is a scramble for tables in the small restaurant and you find it becomes a rush. You receive your first drink, yet they don’t look happy to give you a second, they want you to move on to free up tables. They try to organise a queue for a table and it just doesn’t work. Lunch feels like a quick snack, when we like a leisurely meal outside with a couple of drinks. The hotel has better options if they reorganise the rooms they have, but lunch really isn’t good enough in the way it is done. Oh, and if you get up to go and get food at lunch, you can come back to find your drinks have gone, such is the drive to move you. The serving staff could be friendlier all round. Restaurants aside we really enjoyed the hotel and would visit again. We liked being able to take a bottle of wine back to the room to sit and watch the sun go down. We liked how clean everywhere was, the pool being warm, the drinks including top brands being available. The food itself is very good, breakfast was great, english pork sausages most days, the full honeycomb was excellent. The evening gala dinner was worthy of note, make sure you try the roast beef, the fish night was also good. There were enough plug sockets in the room but we always take a UK four gang extension to plug into the one adapter, charge multiple devices that way. Fresh water bottles are always added to your fridge and the safe works on a card not a key or combination which is really good. Definitely worth a visit to the Culinarium, the food is good, service excellent, it isn’t outstanding food but is really good. We liked how the side was glass and removed to improve the outdoor feel, but they could do with some protection from the evening sun at the same time. The meal venues need reorganising to give outdoor options and improve lunch is a must , otherwise a really good place to go.

This was very close to a full five star review. In my opinion the only aspects of our stay at this hotel that let it down was food that consistently looked more appealing than it tasted and a failure to implement its own rules. These are not serious faults so it shouldn’t deter people from booking to stay here, I am merely looking to set expectations. As soon as you enter the impressive reception on the 6th floor, (it is at the rear of the hotel which is set into a rock face, so the front and back of the hotel are at different levels) it sets the tone for the hotel. Large spacious and very clean. Despite arriving at around 11pm the receptionist on the graveyard shift was very friendly and helpful. At that time of night booking in was quick and effortless. We were given a room on the first floor, room 1008 if you are interested, which is at the same level as most of the amenities, so very convenient. Listed as a Junior Suite, it is large comfortable and sufficiently well equipped with what you would expect from a four star hotel. I have yet to stay in a hotel where I have felt the air-conditioning to be adequately powerful enough to chill the room for my liking. The large balcony at the rear certainly does have a sea view, not one of those Fawlty Towers moments here then, and is equipped with two sun loungers and chair and table. Perfect to enjoy an early morning coffee or evening drink. Note you are left with a small bottle of wine and water, but if you want more alcohol it is a case of bringing this up from one of the bars. One final point local ancient residents do occasionally appear in the room and find a damp corner to hide in. As I opened the front door one morning, one scuttled into the room, as if had been waiting to gain entry. Let reception know and they will deal with them. This is where the first food disappointment occurred. Having arrived late we were informed that food had been laid on in the ground floor restaurant. Tired and hungry we were expecting something a little more nourishing than a few slices of bread, cheese and some dubious looking salami. I couldn’t get the beer dispenser to dispense anything other than froth, so all in all a bad start on the food front. Breakfast was another matter entirely, in the same restaurant. The range of food on display was impressive and it certainly looked appetising. There was something for everyone including of course a full english. But it all tasted a bit bland for me. Maybe the modern health conscious way is not to use salt in cooking, although I have yet to see a cheffy programme that does use seasoning to enhance flavours. This remained the theme at all restaurants in the hotel throughout our stay and in my view the fish in the fish dishes was overcooked, and dry as a result. I appreciate large scale cooking requires food to be prepared in advance to handle the large numbers, but even in the more ‘exclusive’ culinarium, this was still the case. Drinks. Plenty of them and even if, on occasions, they seemed slightly lacking alcohol content, who cares, when you can just go and get another one that yo like better. My other gripe is a hotel that fails to adhere to its own rules. Yes you know what I am taking about, the hordes of people who really have to go and place their towels on the loungers before disappearing for several hours before they occupy them. And I am not talking Germans here, oh no, during our stay the guests were mainly British. If you like to join in with this game of staking your claim, then fill your boots, no-one will stop you from doing so, despite the clear statement that it will not be tolerated. Oh and by the way you can turn up to eat in whatever you like it seems, another rule that is ignored. Yes we did enjoy our stay and overall our experience was positive, my observations and negative comments are by way of informing others of what to expect.

This place is absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a quiet get away this is the place for you. When you arrive you can see what a beautiful place this is. We did have problems at the airport and with our transfer but this is totally unrelated to the hotel. As soon as we walked in to reception you a greeted by really friendly staff. Got to our room and it was clean, as expected, just like the pictures. We were very flustered due to the issues we had experienced however the greeting staff at the main restaurant always made us feel at ease I wish I got their names, it was a lovely lady with a pony tail and a younger and slightly older gentleman. They were always on the ball with getting people seated. Always smiled and said goodbye. It made us feel really welcome. They were on hand to help with any requests. I have to mention the Ayyyyy aqua sports guy. He was very funny. I didn’t take part in the aqua fitness however just sitting on the sun loungers he was very entertaining. Seemed to love his job and life. Myself and my partner always had a laugh. He was also on hand to help any quests who required the extra assistance. Finally the last shout out to the lady at reception (I wish I got her name) she was very friendly. Brunette with a pony tail. She helped book all of our excursions and helped with any requests we had. Even when we asked about the buses she printed out the bus route, the different stops. Which is very very helpful when in a different country. Nothing was too much for her. She was always so friendly and helpful. So massive shout out to her. The above mentioned staff really helped my partner and I feel comfortable after a very stressful time at the airport. We had an amazing holiday and it is not only due to the beautiful resort but due to the staff mentioned above. I would also like to mention that some of the waiting staff were not so friendly or welcoming, some of the younger girls but they must have just been having a bad week. Absolutely amazing holiday. Would recommend

We enjoyed our stay at Suite Princess, a very impressive hotel built into the rocks so that every room has a sea view. Most of the rooms also have a view of the pool. We were in room 1008 which was slightly on the curve of the building meaning we had a lovely sea view but couldn’t see the pool or surrounding area, and frankly we preferred it because it was quieter and gave us more privacy. We had a junior suite which I think is the standard room. It comprised a large sitting area as well as the bed section, a large balcony with two sun beds plus chairs and table. The provision of sun beds meant we could sit on the balcony if we didn’t want to swim or get involved in early morning towel roulette! There are plenty of sun beds and umbrellas around the pool, but they’re very tightly packed, so you’re sitting a few inches from strangers either side. There are two pools, one is graduated and very shallow at one end, the other is approximately 2.5 metres deep, and was the one we used because it was less busy. The hotel put on various amusements during the day such as cookery lessons, wine tasting and quizzes, some of which are worth going to, some not so much. One of the main pluses for me is quiet. We chose this area because we wanted peace, and that’s what we had. There’s no loud music throughout the day as there is in so many hotels, that’s saved for the evening entertainment. Obviously no screaming children, but also no noisy adults at least whilst we were there. The area of Taurito has been built in a quiet bay, solely for tourists. There are several hotels, a small water park and a few souvenir shops. If you want nightlife or shopping malls you have to go further afield, but again, that’s why we booked it. Although we enjoyed our holiday there are in my opinion two minuses. Firstly, the WIFI, it drops out constantly, and if you’re hoping to do some work as I was, it was pretty nigh impossible most of the time. The second disappointment was the food. We arrived at 11.00pm and were told by reception that ‘dinner’ was waiting for us. We didn’t expect hot food at that time of night, but when we reached the restaurant there were a few pieces of cheese, some dry bread and a few pieces of salami, obviously the cold cuts left over from that night’s dinner. There were also no hotel staff and worse still no Tui staff anywhere to be seen, so we had no idea where we were going or what was going on. Obviously this was not a good introduction to the food, and to be honest the food was just okay. There was plenty of it, but just so bland and boring. The bread rolls were rock solid and almost without exception all the fish was over cooked and dry. The worst disappointment was The Culinarium, the waiter service restaurant that you are allowed to visit once during your stay. The food there was frankly horrible! I had a type of mango gazpacho to start with, I’ve never tasted anything like it before and hope I never will again. This was followed by the driest piece of salmon I’ve ever eaten resting on a piece of spinach. It came with a drizzle of lime oil around the edge which was not enough lubrication to stop the bone dry salmon sticking around my mouth. There were no vegetables (other than the very small piece of spinach) and no potatoes to accompany it. Even a knob of butter or some hollandaise might have improved it. I would never serve fish like this to anyone. Lastly, the lemon tart which turned out to be a poor version of a British lemon meringue pie with soggy bottom and almost no taste of lemon. The Culinarium is a nice idea, but unless the food is going to be better than the main restaurant, it’s pointless. The staff were all friendly, I felt almost sorry for the head waiter who was so enthusiastic about their offerings, I find it hard to believe he’d ever eaten them. The waitresses, also friendly but need training. The couple next to us asked for a G&T and were told they had to go to The Sports Bar to get it! And the other waitress constantly shouted across the room to her colleagues while she was uncorking wine or collecting plates. Tui, you need to either stop offering this service or get your act together.. If this sounds like a lot of complaints I’m sorry because it’s a very nice hotel in a great position with friendly staff, but if you set up expectations you need to fulfil them.

So judging by a quick survey on our arrival, the hotel was less suited to our party of six 25 year olds and more suited to an older clientele. This is not to deter younger visitors, however, as those looking for a relaxing holiday need look no further. Definitely the right spot for a quieter holiday away from the clubbing atmosphere, but still enough entertainment at night to keep you from falling asleep. We arrived quite late and would be checking in right around the end of dinner service, missing it, but fortunately the check in staff allowed us to store our bags away and sent us off to dinner, which we really appreciated as we had not eaten since before take-off. Not only were the reception staff accomodating on many occassions but also very polite and friendly. The restaurant staff were much the same, with polite greetings, smiles and offers to bring any drink to your table. Food during the main mealtimes at the buffet-style restaurant was always tasty and never without enough options to fill up on. Lunch upstairs was more limited but enough if you want to snack or have a few bites, and I only discovered too late that they have a little outdoor grill serving grilled meats and chimichurri, which went down well in the sun. Snack times were okay, and the late night snacks in the evening bar were fairly limited, usually only consisting of vegan sandwiches, but I digress. Our power system in the room was not functioning initially but they solved it temporarily for us and arranged an engineer in the morning to come and fix it, which they indeed did. Room was fairly standard, with a comfortable bed and cleaners always did a good job, even if we made a mess (sorry!). Having your own private balcony with sun loungers really does make a difference if you want to just tan in private, and I will find it hard to go back to somewhere without this provision. Air-con was usually adequate and although it is fairly standard these days, the minifridge for storing cold water did not go amiss. The wait staff in the upstairs bars and those behind the bar were very attentive and friendly, with a few particular noteworthy waitresses who were very chatty and amicable and ensured our cups runneth over. I've never known someone who could keep the pina coladas flowing so well. In the same vein, the massage consultant who you book with was so very helpful and explained each type of massage and even made reccommendations depending on what you were looking for. She has opened my eyes to the world of massages, and after a particularly relaxing lomi-lomi, I'm not sure I could ever go back. All in all, it was a fantastic trip and one I would make again. I will end with a few small concerns since I feel I have adequately praised this place. I feel that in agreement with many others, the pool and late night bar both close too early for my liking, and there were definitely a fair few other guests even in agreement at night that the entertainment and bar service ended too early. An indoor bar somewhere maybe or just closed off the night bar with adequate air conditioning would be suitable. Personally I feel a few time restrictions held back my enjoyment. A few adjustments that might have made my morning routine easier would have been to open the gym and turn on the sauna earlier, or to make normal breakfast service run slightly later as the late breakfast service felt quite limited. Aside from these few small gripes, however, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and found it a well deserved break from the world. To the reviewer who claimed there was no nearby pharmacy, the hotel connection to the beach and the water park has a whole row of shops not 5 minutes walk from the pool, which includes a supermarket and a pharmacy. The waterpark is adequate and fairly enjoyable if want to mix it up a bit, though do note that it is a saltwater park if that sort of thing affects your decision. I'll address one other reviewer complaining about everything being done on the app - We didn't use the app for anything. The only thing we really had to use our phones for was booking the restaurant one night and looking at the extensive inclusive drinks menu, which didn't cause us any trouble, though it's possible the different age groups could be a factor. To sum up the experience: a good time with friends.

This is my honest review of our experience with travelling with TUI and staying at this hotel. I am a person who loves to praise good service and compliment on a job well done. I am not a person who likes to complain but this is my experience and I hope it can help someone in the future who is considering travelling at the moment. Having not had a holiday for 4 years and having this holiday cancelled due to the pandemic my husband and I looked forward to celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in Gran Canaria. I had been following the reviews on TA and had great hopes that we would have a fabulous time! How wrong was I. We arrived late in the evening and on arrival was impressed by our first impression of the hotel. Reception was welcoming and it looked lovely. We checked in and made our way to our room. We had paid for a deluxe premium suite and it was a great room! Really impressed, you won’t be disappointed if you have booked one. Being that we are in our 50s we had chosen this hotel as it is Adults only. Unfortunately it is situated opposite another hotel and water park and the noise is very loud. Screaming children and families is something we wanted to avoid. We are not anti children at all but it was loud! The resort itself is nice. Plenty of sun beds although they’re very close together, a lovely pool although it shuts at 6pm! The restaurant is ok but again the tables are so close together it makes you feel uncomfortable sitting with people you don’t know. The food was mediocre exactly what you expect from an all inclusive resort. Nothing special but you can always find something. Now for the part that made our holiday awful… on my second day I started to feel unwell. Luckily I had taken some LFTs and I tested positive for covid! (I have never had it before) This is a risk that anyone travelling now takes and is one of those things we have to deal with. What I was upset with is the support we didn’t receive from TUI or the hotel. The first 36-48 hours I was very unwell and it was scary being so unwell in a foreign country. I had taken paracetamol but had run out as my temperature was raging. The resort had no pharmacy and my husband was told that the nearest pharmacy was about 40 mins away by bus. I was very unwell and he didn’t want to leave me plus he has slight mobility issues and this would have been an ordeal for him. Remember we are early 50s so not ancient and we are usually fit and well. Lots of the people staying at the hotel are much older and I wonder how the older generation would cope if this happened to them? My husband found a shop on the resort that told him they had paracetamol and they cost £18! We found out they was actually a joint medication and not paracetamol! We did contact the TUI rep who told my husband that I had to stay in my room until I was feeling better. I could then use the facilities when I was better but to wear a mask and avoid crowds. They put this on a postcard and pushed it under the door. That was it no other support, no checking that we was able to get food or anything! Totally left by ourselves! During my illness our air conditioning stopped working! The ceiling began to leak and we had to put towels on the floor! The hotel would not fix it as I had covid, we never had the room cleaned or was we checked on that we had toilet rolls and water etc we had to call down and wait so long! We asked for a fan and was told we had to pay for a week to have one! Feel totally let down by the hotel and TUI. So my main point is that obviously it wasn’t the hotel or TUIs fault I got covid as it is one of those things BUT if you’re travelling be cautious that should you contract covid while away. I would hate to think of a lone traveller just being left to get on with it in their room with no support from a rep or the hotel. We was also given contradicting information regarding covid procedure from the hotel and the rep. The hotel said I needed to be negative before I left my room but the TUI rep said when I felt better? Either way I felt vulnerable and let down by both sides. Fortunately I recovered well and although positive I was able to travel home not that anyone checked to see if I was well and okay. I hate to think what would have happened if I had taken a turn for the worse. We won’t be travelling abroad again for a long time. Stay safe!

Me and my fiancé came here for a week to coincide with our anniversary, we booked it on a whim at first since we just wanted to get away from work to relax. We weren't expecting much but knew the place looked good which all changed upon looking at the TUI Blue features on the app along with the other hidden upgrades on the Princess hotels website. Originally I had booked us into a standard Deluxe Junior Suite but realised that for a small fee we could upgrade to the Premium room, which had a lot more features such as the premium alcohol menu and free minibar in the room that was topped up daily. After that I also requested the hotel to add the "Romantic Package" to my booking, which was an extra 50 euros (bit more if you wanted even more premium wine too). Upon arriving at the hotel we were amazed at how beautiful the the reception looked, whilst also being greeted by such well mannered and helpful reception staff (More specifically Gabriel who actually checked us in!). I had requested a specific room number which they unfortunately couldn't fulfil on our arrival so they put us in the closest room to it (9011) which was honestly fine with us as it wasn't guaranteed anyways. After arriving at our room we realised that the room they gave us actually had a better view than the one I requested, so I'm glad that we had that one instead! The room was very spacious and included a small welcome gift pack that had honey rum, chocolates, premium shower shampoo/gel and a little re-usable bag. In the bathroom we also had toothbrushes, a shower cap, nail file, small beauty set and a shaving set, which were all environmentally friendly, having cardboard/paper packaging and with the actual products being produced with wooden materials. Our balcony also had sunbeds on along with a table and two chairs, to make the most of the sun when we weren't by the pool which was very helpful. When it came to dining we had an exceptional experience, on our first meal my fiancé couldn't find the plates which were right infront of her and she was shown them by the very kind and friendly Jose and since that moment we would love going for breakfast/lunch/tea to be greeted by him as he would always make us laugh and do anything he could to help us! Him and his team were the best we could've asked for and I honestly wouldn't have wanted anyone else to serve us. The only real tiny downside we had to dining was the fact that the tables seemed a little bit on top of each other so there wasn't that much privacy/separation but we didn't mind all that much as it was only for a short period whilst we ate. Moving onto the bar facilities, these were also perfect, the staff were very helpful and would always be there to get us more drinks or talk to us, which made everything so much more convenient and interesting, to be able to learn about the staff's lives. There were 2/3 bar staff in particular that made us feel extra special (but I can't remember their names I'm sorry!) and made the holiday even better. The pool was also great, it had plenty enough sunbeds to accommodate enough people who wanted to sunbathe at the time which was good. I would also overhear people complaining that there wasn't pool service, but this honestly didn't bother us, as we would just go and get the drinks ourselves so we could get out of the sun for a bit and get a bit of exercise. There is also a shop in the hotel which does things like souvenirs, bits of food, clothes, smoking items and sun care products, in case you run out or need extra things whilst you're there. Our romantic package was also delivered to our room on the day of our anniversary whilst we were out, it was decorated really well with "rose" petals everywhere, and some other romantic details like a little teddy bear with a heart in it's hands. The staff member that set it up did miss the bottle of wine and chocolates but mistakes happen, I mentioned it to reception and they had it resolved within 10 minutes of me telling them which was amazing! At the end of the day, for the price I paid for the holiday it couldn't have been any better than I wanted, and considering I've been to the other canary islands and other places like Egypt this place has topped the list of all my all inclusive experiences in my life so far. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be trying to return in the future at some point!

Prior to coming on this holiday my girlfriend spent hours reading reviews on this hotel and in all honesty I think they were written by people who paid for a Vauxhall Corsa and expected a Lamborghini to be delivered! So here’s what I’d say about the place and what to expect. The hotel is very nice, clean and well kept however is not brand new so there a a few minor signs of ageing but nothing at all to be concerned with. The rooms are modern, a good size and have a good sized balcony with sun beds and table and chairs. The pool area is a good size with plenty of sun beds and 2 adjoining pools with access to the bars. Food is available all day in one form or another, between meals there are snack bars, late breakfasts and midnight snacks so you won’t go hungry. As far as the food itself, its an all inclusive, there’s a good selection and anyone can find something, and for the ones who like to complain about the food, yes they have chicken nuggets and chips! But as with any all inclusive the food is very similar day to day but there is an abundance so you can always have something different. Also one thing that did stand out is that there is a good selection of gluten-free products which is not very common. In terms of location it’s quite secluded in its own bay with access to a small beech area directly from the hotel, unfortunately at this time you are quite cut off from walking to other areas due to a land slide which has cut off the main road, there are however shuttle busses to take you there and there is a small shopping area in the bay with everything you need This is an adult only resort but there is a water park right outside the hotel that you will here noise from. There is entertainment on every night, for me personally a little dated but still enjoyable. So on to what I’d say are the negatives, not much really, I’d said I have 3 minor issues, 1) the pool closes at 6pm which when it’s sunny until 9pm isn’t ideal 2) the restaurant is located downstairs and there isn’t an option to eat outside in the sun for breakfast and evening meal however you can for lunch as it’s served in a different area and 3) when the cleaners come they don’t lock the balcony door when they leave. Who would this suit… Without trying to stereotype the hotel is suited for people looking for a quiet break and seems to be more for over 40’s and doesn’t have that many younger people albeit there are still some, so if you want something a bit more lively it’s not the place for you but still a really good atmosphere and fun can be had by all. In summary lovely resort, good food makes sure it’s the type of holiday you want and if so you’ll have a great time.
