My first time in Tenerife. Hotel Océano has been a perfect choice. Unique location. Nothing better than sleeping with the sound of the ocean and waking up with breathtaking view. Wonderful property with an exquisite taste in terms of furniture and decoration. My room was wide and perfect with a terrace. I loved breakfast with all genuine and natural products. Every evening I had dinner at La Marea restaurant with delicious food. SPA facilities met my needs. Staff was always ready to assist me and cheerful. The hotel has a special eye on details and discretion offered to its clients. I loved the pool and the park... and the drinks at the rooftop bar of course! I've rarely experienced all this in one hotel. My compliments to the management. .... Can't wait to come back!

Very nice hotel, top location, only separated from the sea by a path along the shore. Public seawater pool in front. Good location in the north with not too many tourists and direct hiking opportunities in the hinterland as well as a few small shops and supermarket in town. The hotel's facilities are upscale and very well maintained, including the rooms. All rooms have a direct sea view, a feast for the eyes to enjoy every day. The staff are extremely friendly, not annoyed by questions or special requests, most speak very good German, otherwise English is no problem. A clear drawback is the evening meal (the hotel cannot be booked without it), fixed 3-course menus (vegan or normal), not very seasoned, tastes bland and stale (some of it pre-cooked (my impression). I only tried the Thalasso SPA - great. I recommend the hotel, instead of dinner (half board) you can also have lunch à la carte and then in the evening visit the mega fish restaurants within a maximum of 5 minutes' walk.

In 2018 I wrote a review of this hotel in which I emphasised how outstanding it was in multiple respects - and this review is intended simply to supplement that one.
Having recently been lucky enough to return to the hotel, I should simply like to emphasise that it remains outstanding. Indeed, if possible (which I would have regarded as unlikely when I was last there!), it is now even better than before having undergone significant refurbishment improvements. Among the highlights of that refurbishment are a new building containing a new gym with brand new gym equipment, spacious rooms for exercise, yoga, pilates etc and an impressively newly resurfaced tennis court. The swimming pool has also been moved by 90° so that you now swim one length looking directly at the beautiful combination of sea, palm trees and mountains which make this place so unique. The staff remain exceptionally friendly, as is the impressive new manager of the hotel who is both very helpful to guests and also appears popular among the staff. Furthermore, the overall standard of the rooms, the dining room and the comfort that guests enjoy remains fantastic. Once again, I cannot recommend this place highly enough if you are after a good and healthy rest in a wonderful setting!

Recently my husband and I spent 2 weeks at the OCEANO Health Spa Hotel where we chose to follow the Mayr program. The hotel, staff, detox treatments and all the facilities were more than we ever expected……amazing! My husband had once many years ago followed a Mayr program in Austria to lose weight and to detox. Since then he has been convincing me to try it but in a different location with a better climate. The Mayr program at the Oceano in Tenerife was the perfect solution. The beautiful location of this hotel also provided “natural “ Thalassotherapy. We not only lost the weight we wanted to but also learned several fundamental changes to our diet which we continue to follow at home. Truly life changing principles that are easy to follow and keep extra weight off. We plan to return 10 days twice a year, at the OCEANO Health Spa Hotel, and make it part of our yearly routine. M. We have spent a marvellous meditative week in the unique OCÈANO Hotel, Punta del Hidalgo, Tenerife. It was our thrid personal "El Camino Tenerife" reaching all the lighthouses. OCÈANO ensured a perfect background for these trips. Full breakfast, served dinner, perfect wellness including two saunas, steam bath, pools, fresh free drinking water in every level, helpful personnel especially organizing trips. I discovered the Hotel Oceano in an SZ supplement. First the 10 floor high house stopped me from Trips to the OCEANO. Now we dared and were extremely satisfied with everything. The reception, the service in the restaurant, simply all the staff are of great friendliness and helpfulness as you rarely find them anymore. Our room was exactly as described, large and with great views and appealing amenities.The breakfast buffet is varied and fresh, the dinner has always tasted and you always have three dishes to choose from, fish, meat or vegetarian. The 25 m pool is fantastic for swimming and for a few morning laps the seawater pool accessible by stairs is ideal, of course also during the day. We'll be back for sure. We will try all wellness offers next time.

Is a hotel with a great and good offer on the spa treatments. The treatments i had was really good. The wiews from your balcony to the see and the Teide is superb. The área is quite and good to do hikes , away from the noise touristic and crowdy áreas.

It was very, very nice this time too. I especially love the unique location of the OCEANO, right on the Atlantic, with a view of the impressive Teide to the left and the Anagah Mountains behind. The service, the facilities, the delicious, healthy food and the health/wellness offers are simply top-notch! Generally it is no problem at all if you wish to book a package and your partner does not. We offer 2 different Thalasso packages: Thalasso Experience and Thalasso New Balance. One of them (Thalasso New Balance) includes a special diet based on seafood, fish, algae etc. As you do not eat fish, I would recommend you the other package that we offer: Thalasso Experience. It includes daily Thalasso treatments and you can choose whatever you like from our breakfast buffet and you have the possibility to book our half board menu. With this package, there are no limitations regarding the food.
The use of our saunas (including the infrared cabin) and outdoor pools is free of charge for our hotel guests. If you like to book additional treatments like massages, cosmetics, etc. that are not included in your package, these treatments will be charged.
Regarding our rooms, they are all quiet and facing the sea and our garden, but they have different sizes. For 2 persons, I would recommend our Double Studio Superior (45 m²) or our Double Studio Comfort (39 m²). Both room categories have their own balcony and direct sea view.
