El Nispero Dulce is situated in the centre of Andalucia on a walking distance of the village Alcaucin and it is located on the edge of the Sierra de Tejeda Natural Park. We offer 2 rooms and 2 apartments. A perfect place to relax in all tranquility and absorbing all that nature has to offer in our beautiful garden and surroundings. The many shaded terraces in the garden and the swimming pool give you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the view over the valley and lake Viñuela. Breakfast is served at the main terrace. When weather conditions do not allow this, we will serve breakfast in the glass house. From here you have a great view over the valley. To celebrate life we provide also Cava at breakfast for an additional charge. Three nights a week Kris will put all of his passion into the making of something culinary. From a three-course to a BBQ, or a tapas evening, according to the wishes of our guests. We also have a small selection of Spanish wines for you to enjoy. El Níspero Dulce is ideally located to visit cultural Spain. Cities like Málaga, Antequera, Granada, Cordoba and Seville are within reasonable distance. The nearest beach (Torre del Mar) is driving half an hour. For the more sporty people, the Sierra de Tejeda (40,000 hectares) is the designated place for walking and cycling (mountain biking).

It was not the first timewe stayed at this fantastic place with its super hosts. But every time it seems it still gets a little better. The wonderful breakfasts and occasional dinners, the nice apartment, the fantastic terraces and pool and the suberb vistas, especially at sunset. And if you don't want to stay relaxing there is plenty to see and experience in the area. This year we did the 'caminito del rey' walk. Amazing views and quite an adventure'. We are sure we will be returning to 'El Nispero Dulce' another time.

Rene & Kris were the perfect hosts and as we were the only guests at the time they were happy to chat and provide us with lots of information. We stayed in Higo with its own private terrace and far reaching views of the countryside for 6 nights and felt so at home. Ideally situated for touring around the region. There wasn't an area that didn't have a great view, be it on their terrace for breakfast or chilling around the pool with a wine or on the lower terrace. An easy 10-15 min walk to the local village if you want an evening meal without having to drive. Would happily recommend to anyone planning a visit to Andalucia. Keep up the good work and hope to see you again.

We spent two nights here whilst touring the area, and stayed in Higa - very cosy room with a lovely terrace to drink beers and wine and watch the sunset - wow, what sunsets and views. The pool area and terrace are spectacular and owners very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the fact we could walk in to the village to eat in the evening, even if it was a very dark walk! We had a lovely walk on the Botanical Route in the national park above the house. Nice place to while away a couple of days. We would have liked a small fridge or more importantly tea/coffee facilities in our room . Would definitely recommend to any people visiting area .

Well, where do I start? Probably with Kris & René who were the perfect hosts from pre-booking stages to departure, it was a pleasure experiencing your sincere hospitality. We unfortunately stayed for just 2 nights in the Superior Room "Higo" with our own beautiful fig tree on our private terrace with some spectacular far reaching views, so wish we had had more time . We were delighted that breakfast was served outside on the terrace of the main house with yet more fabulous view over the valley, what more could you ask for. As the weather was beautiful and being tired from spending the last 4 days sightseeing in Granada, Cordoba and the surrounding area, we spent our only full day around the village and the lovely pool on the most comfortable Daybed ever, bliss. If you want to escape the touristy mayhem you should definitely book, you will certainly not be disappointed and the sea and many other places of interest and natural beauty, like Alhama de Granada, are all within less than an hour's drive. We will hopefully be back in the not too distant future for a long weekend. Thank you :-)

Wonderful early summer stay here. We had a room in the house, wonderful breakfasts on the terrace, also an evening meal one night too. The pool area was very large, plenty of room for all guests with loungers and cafe tables. Honesty bar open all day. Short drive or longer walk into the village for bars and restaurants. Amazing views! Wonderfully looked after by the lads who couldn’t do enough for us. We had an amazing holiday. Very clean room and comfortable beds.

We stayed 4 nights in Studio Olivia. What a wonderful place. What a perfect room. A small kitchen with stove, oven and fridge. And all the kitchenstuff were in it. To town it's a 12 minutes walk, but be aware of the sheep :-)) From El Nispero Dulce it's a 1,5 hour drive to Granada, wich we did. Beautiful scenery, roads, flowers, mountains (with snow). Frigliana, Nerja and Malaga are very close. The owners are more than welcoming. It's a place you feel at home from the first minute. Breakfast is very good with every morning a surprise like homemade cakes, fresh watermelon, croissants AND homemade bread, homemade jams and marmelade! Delicious. One evening Kris cooked a great 3-course meal. Hope to come back again and have a dip in the pool. And......try the Balinese bed ;-) Thanks Kris and Rene for making our stay SUPER.

Andalusia is arguably the most beautiful region of Spain. And if you find a location that is very pleasant, quiet and beautiful and at the same time a perfect base for visiting most of the highlights of Andalusia within 1 to 2 hours by car (like Ronda, Seville, Cordoba, Granada etc. etc.) and at the same time allows you to relax, take walks in nature, visit the beach, or make contact with the Spain of everyday in a small town, then you have found a place that is jus SUPER. In our opinion we have found such a place in ‘El Nispero Dulce’. We have visited them for the third time and still Kris and René are able to surprise and delight us. Their friendliness and the nice accommodations, the very nice breakfasts and every now and then delicious diners always please us greatly and the stay is always far too shor. We hope to return soon and enjoy again the whole experience of southern Spain in the relaxed and delightful ‘El Nispero Dulce’. Guy en Anja

We have stayed in this B&B for 6 nights. We had the fully equiped apartment. It has indeed everything you need. But you don't have to cook, because the village Alcaucín is on walking distance. Also, if you are lucky, the host will make you diner. Breakfast is served in the beautiful main house of this B&B. Every morning you find sth extra served, like a cake or pancakes. The hosts make your stay an unforgettable one. The B&B is also very well located for visits to Granada, Nerja, Frigliana or Malaga.. And when you are done sightseeing and you are coming back to this B&B, you can enjoy the tranquility of this place and take in the wonderful views over the Andalusian mountains or take a refreshing dip in the pool. I will definitely come back again to this B&B when exploring more of this wonderful region of Spain

We stayed here before moving to a place of our own. My only regret was that it was for only two nights! What a lovely place Kris and Renee have created. It is impeccably clean, the rooms have been carefully thought out in terms of design, guests needs and comfort. The pool is gorgeous with beautiful views. Best of all is the peace. Because it is down the end of a track, there is no passing traffic, and no noise comes up from the village. They are situated at the base of a mountain and we went on 2 early morning beautiful walks. Ruta botanical was our favourite. Kris and Renee are lovely company, and at the same time very respectful of their guests privacy. I think they have worked very hard to create a lovely place for a holiday and I wish them all the very best for the successful continuation of their enterprise.
