El Nispero Dulce is situated in the centre of Andalucia on a walking distance of the village Alcaucin and it is located on the edge of the Sierra de Tejeda Natural Park. We offer 2 rooms and 2 apartments. A perfect place to relax in all tranquility and absorbing all that nature has to offer in our beautiful garden and surroundings. The many shaded terraces in the garden and the swimming pool give you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the view over the valley and lake Viñuela. Breakfast is served at the main terrace. When weather conditions do not allow this, we will serve breakfast in the glass house. From here you have a great view over the valley. To celebrate life we provide also Cava at breakfast for an additional charge. Three nights a week Kris will put all of his passion into the making of something culinary. From a three-course to a BBQ, or a tapas evening, according to the wishes of our guests. We also have a small selection of Spanish wines for you to enjoy. El Níspero Dulce is ideally located to visit cultural Spain. Cities like Málaga, Antequera, Granada, Cordoba and Seville are within reasonable distance. The nearest beach (Torre del Mar) is driving half an hour. For the more sporty people, the Sierra de Tejeda (40,000 hectares) is the designated place for walking and cycling (mountain biking).

Rene & Kris were the perfect hosts and as we were the only guests at the time they were happy to chat and provide us with lots of information. We stayed in Higo with its own private terrace and far reaching views of the countryside for 6 nights and felt so at home. Ideally situated for touring around the region. There wasn't an area that didn't have a great view, be it on their terrace for breakfast or chilling around the pool with a wine or on the lower terrace. An easy 10-15 min walk to the local village if you want an evening meal without having to drive. Would happily recommend to anyone planning a visit to Andalucia.
Keep up the good work and hope to see you again.

We are beginning to be regulars in the B&B El Nispero Dulce. Every time we visit, we book a little bit longer. But every time we leave, we say it was still too short. This time we stayed twelve nights, and we enjoyed them to the full. Beautiful scenery and apartment to stay, relaxing beds, bath, swimming pool, sun-chairs and beds and delicious breakfasts. And a few times in the evening a verily culinary meal cooked by the owners and even by some of the guests. And if you are tired of relaxing (!) there are so many lovely outings in the vicinity that it has certainly something for everybody. Be it a lovely beach, several amazing cities, nature walks, Nerja cave, local markets or one of the very many delicious restaurants. Our hosts have many tips on all of this, so you don’t have to be bored at all.
We have already decided to come back next year and maybe again stay a bit longer still.
Que Viva El Nispero Dulce !

A very nice stay in a beautiful location. Beautifully situated in the mountains with a beautiful view, close to the charming village of Alcaucin where there are various amenities. Kris and Rene are very hospitable, their B&B is beautifully maintained with sufficient privacy. The delicious breakfast is a good start to the day. Or you stay at the quiet location itself with the nice swimming pool. Or you can go for a walk in the varied nature reserve behind them. You can get to the coast in half an hour, everything is possible. I stayed in the Dama de Noche apartment, spacious, clean and equipped with everything. And a very nice private terrace with that panoramic view again. Fortunately, I was able to experience the evening where Kris cooked for the guests, which was delicious. And nice to spend time with the other guests and Rene and Kris. I had a nice, quiet, adventurous and hospitable week in this special place! Kind regards, Frank

What a wonderful stay this was... Hosts Kris and Renée have pampered us wonderfully during the little week we stayed here. Beautiful sunrise, great breakfast, neat rooms. The residence is within walking distance of the village, here you can easily go. We will definitely be back! Everything great!!

It was not the first timewe stayed at this fantastic place with its super hosts. But every time it seems it still gets a little better. The wonderful breakfasts and occasional dinners, the nice apartment, the fantastic terraces and pool and the suberb vistas, especially at sunset. And if you don't want to stay relaxing there is plenty to see and experience in the area. This year we did the 'caminito del rey' walk. Amazing views and quite an adventure'. We are sure we will be returning to 'El Nispero Dulce' another time.

The place is amazing and very authentic. The view is absolutely breathtaking, with all the quietness and the nature is just magnificent. The rooms are ideal: comfy, private and cozy. The beach is very close, so is perfect to get away for a couple of days and combine beach, hiking and relax. The place is full of details, just to make the experience unique.

We spent two nights here whilst touring the area, and stayed in Higa - very cosy room with a lovely terrace to drink beers and wine and watch the sunset - wow, what sunsets and views.

The pool area and terrace are spectacular and owners very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the fact we could walk in to the village to eat in the evening, even if it was a very dark walk!
We had a lovely walk on the Botanical Route in the national park above the house.

Nice place to while away a couple of days. We would have liked a small fridge or more importantly tea/coffee facilities in our room .

Would definitely recommend to any people visiting area .

Well, where do I start?
Probably with Kris & René who were the perfect hosts from pre-booking stages to departure, it was a pleasure experiencing your sincere hospitality.
We unfortunately stayed for just 2 nights in the Superior Room "Higo" with our own beautiful fig tree on our private terrace with some spectacular far reaching views, so wish we had had more time .
We were delighted that breakfast was served outside on the terrace of the main house with yet more fabulous view over the valley, what more could you ask for.
As the weather was beautiful and being tired from spending the last 4 days sightseeing in Granada, Cordoba and the surrounding area, we spent our only full day around the village and the lovely pool on the most comfortable Daybed ever, bliss.
If you want to escape the touristy mayhem you should definitely book, you will certainly not be disappointed and the sea and many other places of interest and natural beauty, like Alhama de Granada, are all within less than an hour's drive.
We will hopefully be back in the not too distant future for a long weekend.
Thank you :-)
