A wonderful location for this charming luxury hotel. The views from the restaurant, pool area and our room were stunning. We loved the ambience of the place giving an impression of a much older place with lots of wood and lovely floor tiles. The bathroom was lovely, perhaps a separate shower would have been a good extra, but maybe some rooms have this. Breakfast was great as was the food at the poolside bistrot and the food in the restaurant. The "tortelli bicolore di capra" was one of the best dishes I have ever tasted ! Staff also very helpful and friendly. The only problem was no air conditioning which, apparently, has never been required before - that's global warming for you. But the manager did find us a portable fan which made the room slightly more comfortable.

Everything was marvellous, from the super welcome and incredibly friendly team at the hotel. We had 3 nights here and found it hard to leave....Our suite was lovely and a view of Mont Blanc and the valley which would be hard to beat. Pool and Spa stunning and food and wine in both the Bar and Restaurant was a delight. It was hard not to keep thinking about our next meal!!! La Salle is a very pretty little village and we walked around and had coffee. Although, we loved nearby Courmayeur...La Salle was where we wanted to head back to. We are 2 adults and our 17 year old daughter. We enjoyed the calm and just being together here that a busy life doesn't always let you have. Super family time. We also travel with our Golden Retriever and she was made very welcome too. I really don't know what else to say...it is just a fabulous place...it has it all. We will certainly be making a detour to La Salle again!…

For a 5 star luxury hotel the overall experience was far below our expectations. The Suite was beautiful, with a breathtaking view over the valley and the Mont Blanc, the Jacuzzi on the terrace, the rooms, the Doll Bedroom for the kids. At first glance there was the impression of a next to a perfect staying … since the welcoming from the reception to the calm and secluded exclusivity of the various spaces… but as we got closer we noticed unforgivable oversights for an hotel of such standards….such as plastic flowers in the room and on the tables of the restaurant was a disappointing detail. But probably what made our staying not an unforgettable experience was the service from the restaurant. A serious lack of organization of the dining room, with lengthy wait, also for a simple menu for the kids. Had to cancel a course as we waited for 45 minutes…staff was very apologetic…but the kitchen had serious issues… that could not be covered up by the efforts of the staff in the dining area….especially when we ordered some good wines you would expect that the food is served in a timely manner. Also an important comment on the presentation of the Gamberi who came as starter… these had their own guts… were not cleaned properly… not acceptable for the rates you pay. Having said that the massage was fantastic, and the indoor swimming pool was nice and had a feeling of intimacy. With more attention to the details this place could offer a unique experience, which unfortunately has not been the case for our short staying. …

Good evening, It was a pleasure to welcome you and your beautiful family to our Presidential Suite. In Italy, due to economic situations, lack of training and too much welfarism, we are living, especially in the restaurant sector, an extremely difficult moment which is, unfortunately, undermining the great efforts of hotel properties and managers who every day with efforts, believe me unimaginable, try to get unscathed at the end of the day. By choice, despite the lack of staff, we have decided not to lower the quality of our culinary proposals as many have done in our sector, continuing towards a pre-cooked, fast, and approximate cuisine, The pork belly, which you canceled with a good reason for being late, for example, cooks for several hours at a low temperature. As we did on Saturday, both I personally and our restaurant manager apologize again; Our first courses are freshly and handmade as well as our desserts which are always highly appreciated. We prefer genuine cuisine with flavors that are still recognizable and not mass-produced. However, I would like to inform you that the flowers on the restaurant table are not plastic at all! They have been created by the best florist designer in Aosta and are composed of fresh and dried flowers with silicon crystals; We have made a careful selection of mountain and valley flowers such as Edelweiss, Carlina acaulis and Gentian. It is impossible to better the location and views of this hotel. If you want a corporate chain, this is not the place for you . It is quaint charming and full of character. The rooms are individual and spacious. The bed was an absolute dream. The staff as always make the hotel, and here is no different Lauro and Christiano my our stay very special. The spa staff are very welcoming aside from the incredible design and comfort, be warned outside pool is not heated! Negatives I would have expected nibbles with a cocktail costing 20 Euro and the restaurant menu being nouvelle cuisine may not be to everyone's taste. Apart from this highly recommended

Dear Sir, thank you very much for your positive comments. We are proud of Cristiano and Lauro as well as others who are precious pearls of our staff. The outdoor swimming pool is not heated because the 34° one is located inside our Spa of over 1000 m2. I am very sorry that you have not tasted our delicious appetizers that are prepared in our kitchen every day. What a beautiful hotel, in a magnificent setting. Our room was huge and the bed was so comfortable. The chalet style of the hotel blends into the mountains. We stayed as part of a road trip but we should have given ourselves more time here to enjoy the outdoor pool and the spa facilities

Nobody wants to leave less than positive reviews but sadly this Relais just wasn’t good enough. The location is fabulous with a view from our room (25) directly down the valley towards Mont Blanc, and La Sella is a pretty little village. Staff were friendly and pleasant, especially Rita, on the front desk. The issue is the hotel itself, which is tired and very old fashioned. There is a smell of decay about it. Furnishings are dour, brown wood. No coffee machine in rooms. No Wi-Fi when we were there. Air con didn’t work. The spa is just about ok but functional without any sense of indulgence, let alone luxury, though again staff were very pleasant. Dinner was a shambles. For an eight pm booking we were served our first course, after chasing, at nine thirty. There were 12 people in the restaurant, all complaining about pace. Food was average. Prices were not. Our room cost €419 for one night. Again, sorry to be negative but it represented no value. If you do choose to stay, top tip is, walk down into the village, save your cash and eat in one of the pizzerias or bistros. Maybe in the winter, with more guests and fires burning, it would be fun. The outside structure is nice and solid built, and the reception staff was very accommodating, as was the driver. The rooms… well.. they have plastic flowers on the tables, some random red small-patterned curtains more suited for a roadside inn than an expensive hotel, dusty ceilings and dirty sides of the bed. The bathtub had black-rotten and torn silicon lining. I got into the bathtub and then saw all this around me, essentially I was bathing in this rot, in was just horrible (see picture, this is what it looked like all around the bathtub). The worst thing by far was the restaurant and its fittingly unsuitable manager. Where in Italy do you eat bad? Almost nowhere, yet here the “chef” I almost feel makes some grey-brownish gooey substance in the mornings and then uses it as a base for everything. For lunch we had some random soup with it, then gnocchi with a similar sauce and in exactly the same dish (speaking of class in food presentation) and then next day the pasta had it too. Food tasted like feet, literally nothing was edible. The manager explained to us that he was not from the area but “they” (he explained he meant by it the mountain residents) had three ingredients that they used for everything, and just shrugged us off. When I told him that the scrambled eggs for breakfast were more suited for drinking than eating, so liquid they were, he responded that it’s more like how the French do it, because they are close to the French border, so not their fault. Then he sarcastically added “however, you are welcome here” and walked away. We were charged the full price for the dinner that we essentially sent back to the kitchen, and we’re not surprised to be honest. Hotel was basically empty, even though it was high season weekend and beautiful weather. I think that their business model is charging the few unsuspecting tourists they still get triple what it’s worth to compensate for the empty rooms, and probably just waiting until the place goes bankrupt completely rather than doing something to make it into a warm welcoming place. Oh yes, about the warmth - they don’t heat the hallways, believe it or not, and this is the spa hotel in winter! Do I need to say more. …

Good evening I deeply respect the opinions of our guests and even more when they give us valuable advice in a disinterested and kind way to improve our services. Among the many detailed points that make me think that you spent your holiday with the aim of reviewing the hotel, I can only say that I am sorry for the tub that I personally went to check. Our bathrooms are clad in beautiful marble and have a border that hides the base. There was chipped enamel somewhere; really impossible to see unless you were submerged in water. I proceeded to have it retouched. For the rest, I notice an excessive amplification of the judgments, a lack of objectivity of reality, and a continuous criticism that had been pointed out to me by the heads of service who, with the usual professionalism, much appreciated by our guests, tried to satisfy you in every way but without succeeding to overcome his wall of arrogance and negativity. Evidence in fact is his comment on catering. We have a Chef with a long experience who offers magnificent dishes with local and traditional products and also with many proposals based on fish, meat, and local cheese typical of the valley. All the dishes are highly appreciated by our guests and the sauces and gravies are ALL very different from each other. Scrambled eggs freshly made from the kitchen at breakfast, we cook them very soft; Instead of despising them in such an arrogant way there could also be a polite way of approaching the staff who I assure you put so much effort and sacrifice to serve you. Lastly, I inform you that since we opened the season, every weekend we are very full; In fact, a characteristic of our relais is that even if it is fully booked, a feeling of peace and serenity is always perceived .... unfortunately not a gift for everyone .....

Just wonderful. No long review required :-) Perfect location, view, service. It is 15' away from Curma and it is near wonderful wineries and farms (in case you want to shop for food). We enjoyed the dinner there and their SPA is very nice as well. Wonderful staff.
