We stayed at San Bartolomeo for three nights with our 15 month old son. It was perfect! We put him to bed every night in the fantastic travel cot provided, and sat down to amazing food prepared by Gabriele. The food was very different each night, and each dish was delicious. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. He also prepared food... More

After staying with Gabriele and Anna for a week I just had to take the time to thank them for the great accomodation and week we had at their place. The house itself is just lovely and them rooms are more then comfortable. Breakfast is as good as it gets and nothing is too much for them. Great hosts, Great... More

I wrote a review on Casale San Bartolomeo in 2013 and couldn't resist writing yet another excellent review subsequent to our stay in May 2014. Yes, we decided to go back, specifically to this beautiful and impressive guest house. This time we stayed for 7 nights, and we fully enjoyed every second. We spent some more time just relaxing at... Although not far from the route between Rome and Bologna and the nearest town it could be in the middle of nowhere. It is simply tranquility guaranteed. The hosts are very welcoming and always ready to talk about any subject. They are clearly people who are well travelled and know what others want. We dined there, and as we were... More

We just spent 3 night in this lovely Agriturismo B&B in Umbria. The place is located in remote quiet spot surrounded by forest. Yet, it is within easy drive of great tourist locations in Umbria. Gabriele is a wonderful host and made everything to make our stay pleasant and interesting. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Good breakfast is... More

Recently returned from an 8 day stay. Would like to thank Gabriele and Ana for being so welcoming and helpful during our holiday. Nothing is too much trouble for them! If you want a quiet relaxing place to stay, but still within easy drive of great tourist locations in Umbria and Tuscanny then this is a good choice. Make sure... More

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and fresh. Only organic food, home made yogurt, cereals, almonds, bread, and very super special jams taste. The lady of the house is elegant and sweet person and her husband is a cute, kind and reserved man. Rooms are nice, but better South side if you can choose. A place... More

Our family stayed for 5 nights at Casale San Bartolomeo. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after and the accommodations are first rate for remodelled Umbrian farm house bed and breakfast. Each room has a modern and generous bathroom and the bedrooms are quite large. The guest rooms are on the second floor and very separate and... More

This is a true find, a beautiful quiet retreat, a great value and great location with superb and gracious hosts, Gabriele and Ana. We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed Gabriele's home cooked meals on 2 nights. The meals were first class. New and interesting combinations and everything done to perfection. Breakfasts on the patio or inside were very generous with... More

Shangrila would best describe this magical place. Casale San Bartolomeo is a beautifully appointed stone country home in the middle of the woods with panoramic views, lush gardens and a gorgeous swimming pool, yet 5 minutes from town. My husband & I got somewhat lost (even with a GPS) trying to find it and had to call the owners for... More
