Uvala Scott is situated in the idyllic Dubno Bay and is named after the English nobleman Alexander Scott, whose love for the place continues to inspire today. Built in 1967 according to the project by Igor Emilij, it offers a settlement structure resembling a small seaside town. Within the complex, there are catering facilities and a beach, all with a unique view of the crystal clear sea and Krk Bridge.

My wife and I stayed at the Uvala Scott Hotel from 25 June - 01 July 2006. Positives: rooms are clean, proximity to food and "beach" is convenient, and price can be OK. Negatives: isolated location, "beach" is more like concrete slabs, bad location (view of smokestacks), food quality is fair, service is mixed.
Bottom line: If you like staying at the same place your whole vacation, food freshness isn't important, and you want to sunbath on concrete or rocks, then this place might be good for you. For the money that you spend, you're better off staying in the village of Krk on the island Krk. Uvala Scott is on the mainland side of the bridge connecting the island of Krk. The view on one side is the bridge, and the other side a large oil refinery with belching smoke from smokestacks. If you do day trips on Krk, you'll have to pay about $8USD every time you take the bridge, plus gas, maybe parking. The food at Uvala Scott stays pretty much the same each day and don't expect much fresh fruit or vegetables. If you like dessert, you'll have to compete with old ladies waiting in line for the server to bring out a tray. The service is mixed: we had a good experience with the weekend shift with a courteous young man (Robert). A grouchy man that was unresponsive worked the front desk on weekdays. Our cleaning lady was very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. We also had a grouchy young lady as the restaurant hostess, but a very nice man managing the buffet trays.

I really do not understand some reviewers about this hotel. What would they expect for this price?? Indeed, it is not a modern one, indeed rooms have old furniture, but basically it is exactly on the price, clean and acceptable. Of course, no luxury, nothing special, except the location, which is really stunning. Sea is crystal clear and very pleasant. Do not book, if you have problems with walking the steps (abrupt and long way to the beach if you are in the upper houses) and do not book if you are looking for sandy beaches (only concreete and narrow beach). Book if you love the sea, if you not seak luxury and anything special. Do not book with food, these are appartments and you can have your own breakfast, long and difficult way to the restaurant.
Perfect for a quick drop on a weekend to the Adria, if you do not want to spend a lot of money, just see some sunshine and swim in the sea, easy to reach.

Hotel is outdated and needs refreshing as soon as possible. But, place itself is just great. Is situated on the coats, and the sea is great here if you are looking for some diving too. The food was okish too, nothing special..

Very pleasant experience. For a 2 star hotel Uvala Scott offers so much more than you would expect. Crispy clean bed sheet, comfy bed, AC and fridge in room overlooking the sea. Half board bufe plentiful and very tasty. Staff could not be more helpful. Sure, there are lots and lots of steps but after eating so much it was good to work off some calories!

Just from this place, where we been put by Lithuanian ravel agency "Guliverio kelionės" for a very long 5 nights. It was described as a resort by them with renovated rooms. In a reality it is a some kind "museum" of a Bros Tito times called hotel. There is no beach, only concrete shore like ship terminal. There is no shop, no town, no wi-fi, no TV's in the rooms, only close to reception. But there is an oil refinery factory with a capacity of 4 mln. ton a year. The food is like in a soviet time canteen. So if somebody wants to travel 40 years back it would be perfect experience :))

Old hotel and problems are solved very slow.... Conditioner is not working for second night, it was not fixed and we did not get different room. Have to wait, but we will go back home with ruined experience 😭😭😭. If you can avoid this hotel, please do. Or your vacations unfortunately can be ruined....

I was there in 2013 july, but I can' t choose that dat... It was very cheap hotel but the foood was terrible!! My child was 2 years old, and bit ill and they don't let me bring to the room 1,5 dl milk (from the restaurant). No fruits and minimal vegetable.... Worse hotel worse holiday worse experience . Hotel staff rude , no English to help Beach: There is NO beach... dirty (very) little place... Staff: They wasn't friendly or helpfull Rooms and hotel: I didn't expect too much, because it was very cheap... so for this money, I get simply rooms- Okay The place what they call playground was bild maybe in 1970, and it wasn't cleaned from 1980.

I stayed in this hotel as part of a package tour; I had a sense of foreboding after reading some highly critical reviews before the trip, but as it was a package tour, I had no choice and hoped for the best... Actually, the hotel was far worse than the reviews suggested. I am frequent traveler and stayed in literally hundreds of hotels throughout Europe and the rest of the world, but this was without doubt the worst hotel I ever experienced.
The hotel is a horrible communist era concrete structure consisting of several blocks, built over fifty years ago and never renovated. The paint is peeling, the pipes are rusting, the doors are warped, the walls are thin and some of the windows are broken and missing. The seafront is like and abandoned garbage tip - discarded furniture, kitchen equipment and sundry rubbish litter what should be the beach.
On arrival I was assigned a room in the Oleander block; the room had an interconnecting door to the neighbouring room that was so flimsy that one could hear the person next door breathing. The room was dirty, there were dust balls all over the floor. The beds were not made, there was only a blanket and a folded sheet on each bed, and no sheet cover. The window connecting to the bathroom was missing, so there was absolutely no light, sound (or smell...) insulation between the bathroom and the sleeping area. The furniture was minimal, and what there was was dirty, scratched and broken. Naturally, there was no TV, no telephone, no internet... The bathroom was in reasonable shape, and the view to the water was pleasant though.
A request for a change of room to the extremely surly receptionist lady resulted in the reluctant offer of an even worse dark, dinghy room in another block that was even more filthy and had three beds, all of them sagging and impossible to sleep in. So I stayed in glorious Oleander.
Dinner consisted of a 'buffet' of stodgy fare, ladled out by hostile kitchen staff. What there was was continuously running out, and there was a permanent queue for everything. Breakfast was the same - limited and very poor quality food, served inefficiently, and always running out. The principle seemed to be - provide the minimum of everything and whet it runs out wait until there is a huge queue. The lines for coffee (not real coffee of course but some nasty chicory concoction) was never less than ten metres long.
The piece de resistance came next morning - there was no hot water to shower in, in any of the rooms in the entire block. Complaints to the receptionist were met with a cheery reply 'This is an old hotel, only two stars, so what do you expect?'. Silly us, expecting to be able to shower in a hotel... The tour guide also complained, and was promised that there will be hot water the next morning. There wasn't.
The hotel is part of the Jadran chain, and they run some quite nice hotels in Optija and Lovran that I stayed in before. The Hotel Uvala Scott is in such a poor state and is so badly run that it should be avoided. Staying here was like an experience in time travel, living in a world of ugliness, discomfort, scarcity and surliness for a few days... not recommended!

This hotel is total crap poor staff, dirty, faulty electrics with a bed from a prison camp after traveling for more than 300 miles all i wanted was a clean bed and a shower after i complained they told me i should havent have stayed, the recepionist had a the personality of a rattle snake and when i asked to see the manager she said he was in bed and not available stay clear

We were looking for cheap accomodation with half pension in north Croatia and we found this. Price 33€/person. When we arrived, there was no possibility to park. After several rounds in loop full of cars, we found parking place about 500m from "hotel". Room was about 500m meters from see, do you had to do 1000 steps to go there. Back to room, that was dark with no lights looking like prison cell. Breakfest a dinners were so so... Sea with small concrete beach was at least nice, calm and crystal clear...however comparing to Seas in Krk Island Stara Baska, Nivnice or seas next to Pula or Solce next to Crikvenica, this see was not impresive at all. For that dissaster parking, rooms a average food, it be worth 15€/day.
