Relaxing, rest, sunshine, smiling people, mood, hospitality - a small part of what you have expected in 4-star hotel "Hermes". In Tzarevo - city, located on two peninsulas, including a closed lovely little bay, next to the beach, just 65 km south of Bourgas, at the foot of the Strandja Mountain - this is the newest and charming complex "Hermes". It is not by accident that Tzarevo was chosen by Hermes to make it his wharf. A long time ago here was located Vasiliko, an old Greek colony. Hermes was Messenger of the Gods, the God of boundaries and Travellers who cross them. The unique natualfear of protected areas -in the largest natural park Strandja, near the oldest Reserve Silkosiya and all that - still pristine, wild, untouched...And when spring shade in summer and the sun begins to tempt us to invite the sea - come with us and leave to be touched by the Messenger of Gods "Hermes", leave to be ankles and care and to spend an unforgettable vacation. Because you do need exactly this....Because you have been planning for a long time to come here or just have decided that this is the place for your vacation. "Hermes" - whoever has come, they always return!

At the end of really bad summer I got to Hermes with family and had a pleasure to spend some great time surrounded by great time, food and smiling people. Staff both Czech and Bulgarian are great and pleasant even at the end of what looked like very busy season. Receptionists helpful, bar staff at pool bar great, beach bar boys superb and Animation team, well they mean business!! And on top of it all when you sit comfortably to enjoy the evening show receptionists and bar staff who join to sing along with brilliant entertainers from Animation team led by Oleg could actually beat many famous acts! They rock!!

Our only favourite sea side place in Bulgaria! Visiting for many years already and not only they always meet but definitely exceed our expectations! Best animation team, food, personalised service! Our kids and we are truly in love with the place and all the staff! The GM,Antoaneta Ignatova, is a real gem to Alexandria! Highly recommended!

I would never go to this hotel again. The hotel does not correspond to a 4 star hotel at all. There were burnt out light bulbs in the bathroom and also rust on the rest of the light bulbs. The elevator didn't always work. There were elderly people who couldn't go down for breakfast, lunch and dinner because of the broken elevator - for a day and a half. Scandalous! The children's pools and the pool of the large slides were under all criticism - missing tiles, missing plaster, broken and protruding moldings, on which 6 children cut themselves. The manager did not react at all. He even scolded some of the hotel guests for being very rude because they constantly asked for things (a bottle of water for the room, for their little child). He wasn't wearing a name badge, and he didn't even apologize for the situation. He didn't even ask how the kids were after that. We took turns at the restaurant. It was rare that there was a free table for our whole family, which made us uncomfortable because we had to seat the children at other people's tables. Lazy staff, disgusting ultra all inclusive. The parking lot is in the grass, the mud and it's terribly dusty. The beach is under all criticism - stony, rocky, even into the water. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at the Hermes Alexandria club hotel, Bulgaria, 8260 Tzarevo, North area from the above dates. We were treated very poorly. First, they had our 81 and 83 year old parents in a totally different building than than we were in. They are elderly and need to stay close to us. This was a very big inconvenience for us and them. The resort would not even try to accommodate us

Staff did not smile or acknowledge us when I said Thank you in their language. There was meat and bread that was dropped on stairs and it was there for days. Housekeeping did not clean it. The light by the elevator was burnt out and not replaced. There were bugs in our room. Beside the elevator in the '1' building, was a garbage bin. It was full and overflowing to the point of bags of garbage was put beside it and this was left the full 7 days of our stay. The resort was very dirty and poorly kept. I took pictures

Our parents are on a pension and saved up for this trip. It meant the world to them to go to your resort. The Staff was very unfriendly and they felt like they were bothering them when we asked for a drink or anything. At the sea side, we had a lounge chair. Since there are four of us I went early to save the chairs. When I got back an hour later, my chairs were given to someone else and my stuff was removed. There was no sign in "English" that said I could not leave them vacant for more than 30 mins. There were no signs in English signs but in their language. Unfortunately, I only speak English.

Housekeeping cleaned our room the first couple of days. One day putting swans on our bed. Then after that they would not clean it any more. After leaving the sign on the door to clean and they never came, I called the reception desk and asked for Housekeeping to clean our room. She came in and threw the dirty sheets back on the bed. Would not give us fresh sheets.

On our third day, My husband, and his Mother and Father all ate the same meal and all were throwing up all night. They had food poisoning. It was so bad that the doctor had to be called to help my Father-in-law. He was so weak and sick that this 83 year old man was lying on the bathroom floor. He couldn't even lift his his head to vomit in the toilet. My father-in-law was not getting better a few days later and developed a fever. The doctor was called back again. This time gave him an antibiotic.

My father-in-law only was able to enjoy the first three days of his vacation only. The rest he spent in his room sick. Management did not even come or call to see how he was feeling. Very unprofessional in my opinion. The air conditioner in their room was not working, which did not help his condition. Our fridge in our room was not working

Our family has visited Hotel Hermes about a week ago. We have traveled with a local travel agency Alexandria for a 10-days-trip. There were so many things different than our travel agent claimed to us! Just briefly:

1) Beautiful sandy beach? No way! It was almost impossible to go into the sea without shoes because of rocky coast and stones everywhere. Unsuitable especially for small children. Even more burning issue was ubiquitous mess not only on the beach but also in the sea. Trash, seaweed, jellyfishes and nobody who could be willing to clean it up.

2) Catering services was advertised as "Ultra All Inclusive". We asked our agent what it means, but he wasn't able to answer. We've known it on our own and I have to say it was a nightmare which still isn't over. Food was good and even delicious. No problem about that. But, BUT... Bulgarian staff don't know absolutely nothing about the hygiene! Otherwise I cannot explain serious stomach ache which affected all members of our family including me and which persist until nowadays. And it was not just a case of our family but also plenty of other tourists around us! Definitely the worst experience on our holiday ever.

3) Surroundings of the hotel was typically Bulgarian. See the photos attached bellow for a better picture.

We were verry dissapointed on this hotel, services, animation team, and the food... We were three families and we all had stomach serious problems.
We paid for Ultra All Inclusive and we did not receive even All Inclusive. We had verry small rooms, with the view on the sea, but all you can see was weeds. The employes of this hotel are verry bored, they never smile, all of them knows english but neither one speaks, no one smiles or say hello to you.
Be aware of the food: they never throw anything, all it's reused and this can provoc you seriously damages on your helth.
No parking area, only a veryy rough place which is with money, no beach, the tanning beds are with money also and the beach has only 4 inches and it's verry ugly! Animation team is beyound expectation at all!!
This was a verry unpleased vacation, we do not reccomend this place

The room was dark, dirty, and depressing. There was a strong smell of cigar (!) smoke, and the carpet was filthy. The interior looked very dated. When I complained to the receptionists, they just shrugged and told me that there weren't any other available rooms. I left and luckily found another - nicer and much cheaper - place to stay. Will hopefully never be back!

The hotel is situated in the small town of Tsarevo, but it has everything you need to be entertained. It's ultra all-inclusive and has a diversity of animating programs, so you won't get bored. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the sea is beautiful. You can play different sports, go to the gym or just relax in the jacuzzi.
