Small, extremely well run hotel located high up on the Malvern Hills amongst woodland with spectacular views. The room had binoculars to enjoy the views. The rooms are dated but spacious, clean and well provided. Staff are excellent. Restaurant overlooks the valley. Breakfast superb, Dinner likewise. Would come again. Easy to find with large sign on the main road. Excellent... More

this is a good old fashioned hotel plenty of character and charm and in a beautiful setting. our room overlooked the hills and landscape. Staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean. The only downside was dinner in the evening - not a huge choice, but what we ordered was cooked and presented well.

We were recommended to visit this hotel in the Malvern Hills. What a treat. Wonderful room with all amenities and the most marvellous views ( eventually the rain stopped) . The staff at reception were meticulous and helpful. Both the new owners came to meet us and proved marvellous hosts. The bar was delightful and service excellent. Breakfast included Kippers... More

Certainly can't fault the staff ,nothing is too much trouble, the food was brilliant, the dining room staff were so nice always smiling .The rooms were clean,,the views amazing ,however my friend and I stayed in a twin room ,the beds move around which is quite annoying,I am also not quite sure that blankets on a bed are the way forward, much prefer... What a treat. We were so happy with everything about our stay. The warm welcome, the attentive staff, our lovely comfortable room (with a fantastic view), the cleanliness of all areas and then... wonderful food ! Beautifully presented in the charming dining room, so delicious from starters to desserts. After a good sleep in crisp white sheets and showering with... More

Let's start with saying that the food of the restaurant is great and they serve the best British breakfast I ever had. Also, the room was comfortable, the shower (for once) has water pressure and it was clean. The all British personnel was polite. BUT my standard room had a view on a car park and the slope, not the... More

Love driving and exploring new places. On a leisurely drive from Wales, Monday afternoon, I met a lovely couple just outside the beautiful historical town of Ledbury. They recommended the Malvern Hills Hotel or Cottage in the Wood for food. I opted for the latter, I'm so glad I chose this one. I arrived at 5.30pm, too late for lunch.... More

My husband and I have stayed here a few times now and have enjoyed every visit. Reading recent reviews I see the owners have responded at a considerable rate to customer comments...we stayed in room 5 and it was beautiful!! I find some comments rather strange...it is an individual hotel and we love the way it is presented. Yes, I... More

Very enjoyable stay with good food and comfortable room. Amazing views from bedroom and restaurant. Great staff. We felt that the food at dinner could have been even better for the price (although no real complaints) and also the mark up on the wine list was excessive.

The view to the East across the Severn Valley is stupendous. The dining room is airy and pleasant and enjoys the view through the windows. The service is good. Alas the food is sparse and ordinary and thus overpriced for what it is - to make my point we had a broadly similar menu two weeks ago just 9 miles... More
