+ve's - Comfortable bed, clean room, plenty of free parking on site. About two miles from city centre and easy walk. -ve's - Very tired decor, very dated building, everything creaked and with no soundproofing, could hear everything in next room and everyone going up and down stairs and everything from outside (earplugs a necessity). Didn't hang around in the... More

Having paid £75 for a small room for one night we were greeted at the desk to the information that a "Continental Breakfast" is included in the room but if we want a hot breakfast we would have to pay extra. What they really means was - "you can have a bowl of cereal or give us more money" I... More

So sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel. The restaurant was last decorated 5 years ago but we do plan to start the process over including new carpets etc. We are officially a hotel, not a B&B, which allows us to charge for breakfast. We feel that £4.00 for a full English plus all... More

well the headboard for the bed was a piece of hardboard screwed to the wall! the mattress was so cheap you felt every spring! The laminate flooring had dust bunnies and more scuffs than i could count in the 5 days i was there! The breakfast was as basic as you could get and the shower was falling to bits... More

So sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel. I recently stayed at this hotel, in the abbey room for one night (thank god it wasn't any longer). When flushing the toilet for the first time the whole room was filled with a raw sewage smell. A smell that then lingered for the whole of our stay. It was absolutely vile. It made me and my partner wretch so... More

So sorry again for our delay to our response. On my return to the business I am pleased to have had the opportunity to speak with you in person and offer a refund for your unsatisfactory stay. We have since, as I let you know, found the source of the complaint which was a faulty anti-trap siphon which allowed stench... More

My wife and I stayed here from Saturday through Monday, only paid £114 including breakfast for 2 so i am trying to consider this in my review though this maybe hard. On a positive the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had the "Renoir" room in The Butlers Hotel (The Boundary Hotel is the same hotel with a separate... More

So sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel. Thank you for your kind words, my staff are extremely good at their job and our position in relation to localities is great. The hotel is currently under going massive renovation, we are approximately 60% of the way through but Renoir is a room waiting for... More

It's an eccentric little b&b, close to Leeds city centre in the university neighbourhood of Headingley. I had meetings close by the next morning and wanted to be on the bus route, so this location was perfect. So: the room was clean, comfortable, and had everything you'd expect. The bathroom was new, but the shower water pressure was terrible and... More

It's hard to know where to start. First the positives.......The guy on reception is very helpful and friendly. The Wi-Fi worked fine, and the location is convenient in Headingley. Difficult to think of anything else good to say. Run down semi-detached building which seems to be linked to the hotel next door. Scruffy pot-holed parking area at the back. Narrow... More

I arrived on a wet night and found the hotel looks like a run down semi. The front room - which is nominally part of the hotel next door, but they seem to share a downstairs - was full of blokes playing pool and watching footy. The public rooms are a bit tatty and the stairway has definitely seen better... More

We paid and reserved a double room for bed and breakfast, When we checked in, about 10pm, we were asked if we wanted breakfast, we both said yes ..... and then were charged extra .... I stayed for 3 nights. The room was small but the bed comfortable. The water pressure t the shower was low, but the water warm. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was instant from a sachet, the water for both tea and coffee was heated up in a water boiler. I am a vegetarian so stuck with scrambled egg. My room was... More
