The Wherry Hotel has an outstanding position on the Broads, and should therefore be a first class hotel with a restaurant to match. Sadly the restaurant is very poor, the carvery is ok, and is very popular on a Sunday but the a la carte menu is sadly lacking. I had booked a table for dinner with our MEP and... More

Booked this hotel for two nights because we were looking around the area. Have to say we have never stayed in a noisier hotel. I can only imagine that the floor above our room is let out to a removal company!!. Gave it the benefit of the doubt for the first night, but I'm afraid its going to be the... More

We had to have a standard room as we were travelling with a do, but the room was modern and very clean, so we were pleasantly surprised. We came back in late and had lost our room key, Martin the night porter was most helpful and polite assisting us.

Stayed at Wherry very over priced for what it is £140 a night for a small room that it not as good as a premier inn down stairs is a carvery and still looks like it's in the 80s but on the up side it was clean we did it in they but can't say a lot about the food... More

I have stayed at this hotel before and been very pleased; this time was a complete disaster. I had booked a single room, the room was minuscule with no room to even place bags on the floor; it was tiny. It was over the top of the kitchen which finished work at midnight and started at 5.00am on Saturday and... More

Stayed here for two nights and we enjoyed our stay. The double room was on the small side but was fine as we only used room to sleep. The view out of the small room was none existent - an air con unit, so was a bit chlostrophobic for me. The breakfast was lovely and we had a nice evening... More

Perfectly adequate carvery at reasonable cost Good moorings too for £10 with £5 refund off food But position outweighs any possible negatives you might find Old hotel under renovation but great terrace overlooking Oulton Broad Well enough furnished public rooms too

This is the second stay here, the first was far better, so it has seemed to go down-hill a little. Staff were very friendly and helpful, no issues with them at all. The room was small, as was the on-suite, just OK for the money, better value can be found at a 'Travel Lodge' or 'Premier Inn' to be honest.... More
