Luxury timeshare well equipped, very clean apartments (with friendly happy staff) situated in beautiful scenery. Weather is always "Scottish" - can be many seasons in one day and sometimes the dreaded midgie can make an appearance but that's not stopped us coming here for great family holidays for over ten years. Lots of events you can go to if wished... More

The quality of the accommodation is very high. Fully equipped kitchen with good quality appliances. Rannoch is a little remote so walking in the hills is just about the only thing to do locally but there are some nice villages within 20 miles. Wifi is free but very limited, 8mb between 30+ apartments! We did get 3G with EE and... More

Managed to exchange into Lochside 2 - right on the loch side so a great view, and not able to hear the neighbours. The unit is a bit "tired" (but refurbishment is imminent so that will be sorted shortly) and well equipped from our long experience of timeshare holidays. We will be back if we can.

Huge appartment, living area upstairs bedrooms down. Well equiped, some of the furnishings need an update,( chairs with split arms) Because the buildings are into the hillside they can smell a bit damp downstairs but opening windows fixed that. Unit was clean enough, quality of bedding and towles could be improved. There was NO hairdryer, found that strange. Over all... More

This place is fantastic and the views of Loch Rannoch are absolutely stunning. The apartment (Otter 4) has 35 steps but it's a doddle if you are reasonable fit. It is extremely spacious and very comfortable with a conservatory/balcony with open views to the loch and stunning scenery. We have just walked to Kinloch Rannoch village and had a lovelt... More

The older lodges are built into the hillside and inevitably come with steps. Lodge 47 is at the top of the development with the most steps. However this sounds a lot worse than it really is.There are eight sections of steps up, interspersed withh steps on the flat. As this was a major concern of ours before our visit, we... More

Oh my goodness, after a 8 hour drive we were presented with an apartment which although well appointed took a total of 40 steps to access. Once installed the view across the loch was very good on a clear day of which we did not have too many but hey this is Scotland. Pretty much all you would want in... More

We arrived at Loch Rannoch Highland Club to a lovely Condo Unit overlooking Loch Rannoch. The Condo had everything we needed and it was definitely a quite, peaceful setting. The road getting there was a bit difficult for us..but we got more used to it after a week's stay. The staff was helpful and responsive if we needed anything. It... More

Have just returned from our 1 week stay in lodge 45. The apartment was well equipped with everything that you could possibly need. Plenty of lovely walks and the weather was hot and sunny all week which was a bonus! Already looking forward to returning next year.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Loch Rannoch Highland Club is a Timeshare Holiday complex of 85 properties in the picturesque village of Kinloch Rannoch, in Perthshire, Scotland. Our apartments and Lodges can accommodate between 4 and 8 guests. The properties are available to rent, and a few are available for resale, at very competitive prices. The Highland Club is on the banks of Loch Rannoch, a beautiful loch surrounded by walks and scenic locations. The wild Rannoch Moor stretches to the west, and the Tay Forest Park lies along its southern short. The loch, and the Highland Club are presided over by the majestic Schiehallion, or Sidh Chailleann in Gaelic (Fairy Hill of the Caledonians). This Munro is one of the best known in Scotland, and offers breathtaking views and walks.Nestled on the shores of Loch Rannoch, the Loch Secluded and tranquil, as the early morning mists rise slowly from the Loch it is easy to surmise how JM Barrie was inspired to write Peter Pan during his visits to Loch Rannoch area. The imagination can envisage through the mists the bow wave from Hook's ship as it slowly moves towards its Anchorage. The clubs' set activities include; - "the clan night" where two of our tame and (usually) pacified Highlanders give an extremely interesting talk on local history, the clan system, highland dress, and weaponry. The club organised guided walks are set at a pace that everybody can enjoy. Why not spend an evening showing off your intellectual skills at the club quiz night? A water colour masterclass is also provided by the club with a guarantee that every participant will leave with a painting. Of course, no visit to Scotland would be complete without participating in a whisky tasting class. The clubs set activities are included in the price of your accommodation.Providing comfortable self catering accommodation in a breath-taking setting, with fabulous views over Loch Rannoch each unit is comprehensively fitted out with everything you could require making this your home from home in the Highlands. From Rannoch Station you can catch the train to Fort William and then carry on to Mallaig, either by ScotRail or by the world famous Jacobean steam railway following the renowned route used by this steam locomotive in the Harry Potter films.By road Pitlochry, Perth, Aberfeldy, Aviemore and Inverness are easily within day visit radius.Wi-Fi facilities are provided free on-site. ... more   less
