Me and my family stayed here visiting family close by. When we got to reception the manager came straight out to check us in, he gave my dad a set of keys for two rooms and said he could go and look at the rooms and pick which one he liked, I asked for a room with a bath to...

Acceptable, just. However, the food was very good and good value and the staff were very kind and helpful - they were badly let down by bad management. The management made promises but didn't keep them and were not very professional bordering on the rude. Because of management, the rooms were not ready even late in afternoon. Lets hope they...

If, like us you need a hotel for somewhere to stay for a night whilst visiting friends or relatives in the area then this place serves a purpose. If however you are looking for a nice relaxing break in comfortable surroundings then forget it. This hotel can only be described as grubby, both the rooms and the lounge restaurant could...

Went here today and although the staff are really nice and friendly they are really let down by what comes out of the kitchen. The food is really poor, my wife's lasagne was burnt and my steak( I'm still not sure if it was steak!) was so overdone I didn't know if I should eat it or resole my shoes...

Having read some poor reviews, we were a bit nervous about staying here. However, it looks as though improvements have definitely been made. This not a "quirky", "boutique" or destination hotel. It's quite cheap (we paid £65 a night for a double room with breakfast), so don't expect mints on your pillow, fresh flowers in your room or warm croissants...

Never book an event at this place! We recently booked a birthday party here, and for the price, we expected a lot more. The buffet food was terrible. Accommodation and service were scarcely tolerable. Word of advise, when settling on the price for an event make sure you obtain written confirmation. On the day of the event we were charged...

We have just spent a night at this hotel and as with our first visit we found it excellent value for money. The bedroom was clean and warm and the sheets were immaculate. The staff were friendly and obliging and although we didn't have a full breakfast as we needed to leave early staff were in to see to any...

We arrived for a two night stay as we were attending a friends wedding in a nearby village. This hotel was the nearest that had vacancies. We arrived to an empty reception. We were booked in at the bar by a man we thought might be a manager. We were told the manager had 'charged our account in advance' and were...

We stayed here for 2 nights due to a family wedding in Grantham. Fortunately, we had read a review by a previous guest and didn't pay for our room until we had viewed it. We had requested a room with "Easy Access" and were given a room upstairs and the furthest from reception! Also, only one set of towels. one...
