Stayed at The Cross Keys when we went to see Take That at the Riverside Stadium in Middlesbrough. It was ideally situated not far from the A19, a short drive to the venue, in a beautiful setting with views of Roseberry Topping. The room was clean and comfortable, and all the

Room over priced. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The whole place was clean and tidy. Room had large bed, tv and kettle. Even though we was next to a very busy road the windows were sound proofed so couldn’t really hear the traffic. So I understand that prices go up on such

Hi Jayne C, thank you for taking the time to review the hotel. It's good to hear that the room was what you expected. Although the prices do increase because of events, we feel that we were still cheaper than some of the other hotels in the area. I take these comments on board for future events

Please accept my apologies for what should have been an enjoyable stay for you and your partner. We run a reduced menu on Sundays anyway so certain items that are available mid-week are not on Sundays. We also had an unexpected increase of sales of a few dishes, but only 2 dishes became unavailable for Sunday but still left plenty of choice on the menu. We get a lot of compliments about the team attitude and their personalities so can only presume that it was a bad day for them if they did appear to come across rude. We always try to find ways to improve the service and experience for all our guests and will use this to aid us in this process. If you would like to discuss this further please call 01287 610035 and ask for Anthony or Steve

We used this hotel a couple of times recently as we needed a room while in the area. I stayed here many years ago when it was a Premier Inn, and it hasn't changed a great deal - decorated and so on but it still has the Premier Inn "feel" The rooms are decent sized, clean and

I arrived at 9pm with my 1 year old son to stay here . I was greeted by the rude staff who told me I should have booked a family room for an additional bed for the baby. I said he doesn't need a bed as he has to sleep with me still (and if not uses a travel cot) I explained this

Sorry you feel about this and sorry for the situation last night, but for insurance reasons we need to know how many guests are going to be staying in a room, whether they are going to be sharing a bed or will be in their own. We are only allowed to have a certain number per room, which you had exceeded by booking a double room and bringing a young toddler with you. There was no indication of an extra child being in the room on the booking, or requesting if possible to add an extra child in the booking. The team member was helpful, and was willing to let you stay the night as it was late, and did say that you will have to book a family room for your next visit. The issue arose when he asked for ID which was unable to be provided. We ask all our hotel guests who are paying cash for the rooms to provide photo ID. This is a policy that most hotels employ and is for the safety of both team and guests. You may have stayed with us previously and not shown ID when paying cash, however, we are now enforcing the policy as the company expects this from recent visits. I will speak to the hotel team and see if this situation can have been handled better to try prevent this happening again in the future, but happy to hear that all the company policies were followed.
