I have been past this pub on several occasions but this was my first time that I have been inside for a meal. I found the decor very inviting and homely, with the log fire being lit. We all enjoyed our food and found it to be reasonably priced. I would recommend the beef burger as it was made with...

We opted to stay here for something different on a visit to Canterbury. It was a great choice. The rooms are fun and large with exposed beams and plenty of space. They are in a converted stables and have everything we needed. Only issue was low water pressure at peak shower time (room 5), which quickly improved after a few...

Lovely old village pub with fantastic food and lovely accommodation. This friendly pub is a great place to stay with a great owner who obviously loves his job. After eating a magnificent two course dinner we ended up in a beautiful bedroom and so full the next morning couldn't manage Xander's famous breakfast. Rest assured we will be back for...

We were not guests of the Inn but choose to dine there in several occasions during our holiday. We especially liked the fireplace dining room and the quiet and cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent and fast, the food was delicious and for a reasonable price. Strongly recommended!!

2 adults, 2 kids (11/10) (Don't think there was a kids menu) It was steak night; great value steaks with chunky chips, huge cheesecake, decent beer, friendly service, unpretentious welcoming ambience, sitting next to log fire. Just what we needed after a long journey.

The rooms are in an annex and ours (room 5) was fine. It was upstairs, windows looking into a courtyard behind the main inn building. The room was very large with a double bed, and en-suite toilet, sink, bath with shower attachment. We parked close to our room without problem and parking appeared to be plentiful. The carpet in the...

Went here for Sunday lunch recently. If one of your main criteria is the variety and quality of the vegetables then you will be delighted. We had a generous serving of cabbage, baby sweetcorn, carrots, leeks and green beans and were then surprised to be served a bowl of cauliflower cheese as well. Excellent lunch.
