My partner and I are regulars here, it's such a cosy pub perfect for a Sunday lunch- lovely open fires, friendly staff and great food. All the locals are chatty and they don't mind our 15 month old running about after her lunch :) One of my favs .

Thursday evening steak night, £10 for a lovely steak, beautifully rare, nice tasty dressed salad, succulent garlic Portobello mushrooms, crunshy thick chips, what's not to like? Lovely evening, good wine and warming wood-burning stove.

A lovely welcome and a table set just beyond a roaring large inglenook fireplace , cosy warm and homely fire burning in the grate. We enjoyed a tasty , hot Sunday Roast with all the trimmings . Our choice was Lamb and it was soft/ tendersom and full of flavour . All the seasonable vegetables were cooked to perfection and...

Xander, the landlord is a great host, we were warmly welcomed. The room was large, with a very comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. I particularly enjoyed the large open fires and the breakfasts. Delicious local produce, in particular the Ottinge farm yoghurts. The Rose and Crown is a lovely pub with lots of great beers on tap. Elham is...

We stopped at the Rose and Crown recently on a quick trip to Ashford/Canterbury. It is a delightful old pub, full of history and character. There were several cosy fires burning on the night that we visited - great for sitting in front of while having a quiet drink, or while browsing the fabulous dinner menu. The food was great,...

Perfect for a night stop en route to the Tunnel. Wish we could have stayed longer. Two of our family joined us for supper in the cosy dining room and we all enjoyed the firelight and the good food. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and shown to our bedroom which was roomy and very comfortable. The young woman...

I have been past this pub on several occasions but this was my first time that I have been inside for a meal. I found the decor very inviting and homely, with the log fire being lit. We all enjoyed our food and found it to be reasonably priced. I would recommend the beef burger as it was made with...
