A Castle in a wonderful secluded spot, why wouldn't you with the added joy of a dungeon restaurant and a relaxing spa. Well obviously it's a castle and it's got character but be sure if book that if you want to stay in the castle you request that otherwise you will stay in the lodge which is where I ended... More

Booked in to stay for one night with my wife and 10 month old. Had pre arranged for a cot to be put up in the room. On arrival this hadn't happened and then spent nearly an hour having one arranged (first one they brought was broken, second one worked but they didn't provide a sheet for the cot). Room... More

This was one of the highlights of our tour. The castle is about a half hour from Edinbourgh city center. If you go I would recommend you try to get there early in the day and just enjoy your environment. The castle is in a semi rural locale. The facility is popular for weddings and everywhere you look there are... More

Dalhousie castle ..... Got married here in September We decided on a quick and private wedding. For me as a bride it's not very private as while as I was waiting to go into the chapel, visitors who were not in my party were trying to find the main reception simply walking straight in front of me. I was supposed... More

I stayed here recently on my work trip to Edinburgh. I wanted to stay outside of the city to get away for the hustle and bustle... and found this beautiful place on the internet. I booked a room for two nights for a reasonable price and was looking forward to using the spa to relax of an evening. When I... More

I was lucky enough to win a 2 night stay at the castle. The building is spectacular and we especially enjoyed dining in the dungeon restaurant - the food is delicious but, if you have a big appetite, be warned that portions are small! We were allocated a comfortable room with views across the lawns. There is no lift in... More

We stayed here to celebrate our silver wedding and cannot speak highly enough about it. The castle itself is beautiful and set in great surroundings. The staff were all friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us. Our suite, in a lodge in the grounds was beautiful. Spotlessly clean and finished to a very high standard. Dinner in... More

We stayed in the lodge which is on the grounds of the castle. The rooms were gorgeous. We had a great time enjoying the solitude. My only complaint is customer service was lacking. Check-in was quick but with little information. As if I had stayed before and knew exactly where I was going. After asking a second time where to... More

We wanted to stay in at least one unique setting on our trip to Scotland. This filled the bill. A castle with flair. The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are roomy and luxurious. We ate in the Dungeon Restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed all of our three course meal. The staff was helpful and friendly. All in all, a... More
