Try and request the room with the Balcony. Rooms are large and very nice. Everything was clean and the bathrooms were also quite spacious. We lucked out and got the room with the Balcony over looking the Forest and it was very beautiful and seemed like we were the only ones staying at the castle. We had breakfast Delivered in... More

I was lucky enough to stay here as part of a business trip for 2nights, the castle is absolutely beautiful, wonderful surroundings, the food was also amazing. The overnight stay was interesting...... Possibly due to the age of the hotel, a very eerie night, that said I would definitely return & would recommend, this place is very special.

We stayed here for one night recently after taking part in the "owl experience" at the falconry. Both the falconry centre and the hotel were unforgettable. The castle was very atmospheric and staff very helpful and friendly as well as being respectful to guests. We had a memorable dinner in the Dungeon restaurant where the atmosphere was extraordinary with ancient... More

How often do you get to stay in a real castle? That alone made it a great experience. We booked a themed 4 poster bed and were conveniently located on the main floor. Here is a quick pros and cons list from our short stay: Pros: Beautiful Castle Grand grounds and view Awesome traditional Scottish breakfast Nice ensuite Cons "Themed"... More

At last we have been fortunate to visit a hotel that values customer service. My wife and I had booked this venue for our anniversary however due to a bereavement we had to cancel. This was an Itison deal and any rearranged date was likely to fall outwith the deadline however Alana was very understanding and did everything to accommodate... More

We stayed in Dalhousie Castle in May 2016 for my mum's birthday. It is such a lovely place with a lot of character. The staff are lovely and the food in the dungeon was epic! Our room was in the grounds, which is fine but I would definitely like to stay in the castle next time. We had a tour... More

Ok, cheesy reference to a B-movie and yet many might get my point. This place was truly a one-of. I loved being there because the room was comfortable, the staff was warm and the rest of place just made me feel good being there. Inside and outside provided plenty of memories for me. Falconry was a great experience and I... More

My husband and I planned a trip to Scotland and Ireland for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and stayed at Dahousie Castle on the actual anniversary date. What an amazing way to celebrate 25 years of marriage. It was a dream come true and the highlight of our trip. The castle was incredibly beautiful, warm and welcoming. We loved walking the... More

They say you're staying in a castle but in fact you may not be. We, for example, thought we were in the castle when in fact at checkin we discovered that we were in fact in a house some 300 meters from the actual castle. The room was ok, but seriously if one wants the castle experience one should get... More
