I have stayed here on several occasions and can only praise the guys that run the place. They remember my name, my partners name and even what we drank last time we visited. The food is excellent especially the breakfast. Superb all round.

Had an overnight stay here which was pleasant, the place is quiet and doors in the room leading to a small green area to sit out in the sun, breakfast was fine plenty of choice and literally a two minute walk from the sea front. Highly recommend and would stay again.

We called in for the first time Saturday evening for a drink, lovely bar, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Nice comfortable drinking area with fantastic free entertainment (Paul Cantara) Freddie Mercury, Elvis impersonator, ect. Apparently, they have entertainment quite often. The restaurant was spacious, light and airy, tables not to close together. The menu was extensive for the bar area and... More

Stayed in most of the hotels on the island and this one beats the rest. Privately run, friendly staff, real free wi-fi, not reduced coverage like multiples who charge if u want faster broadband Surprisingly price includes full breakfast which consists of quality products not disgusting cheap rubbish offered by others. Will always book here in future

Great situation of the hotel. Close to beach, 5 minute walk. Great food at reasonable price and staff, always polite and with a smile. Lovely sitting out area if its sunny. Had a great stay, this was second stay here.

A very large group of us drove down here to attend a relatives 70th Birthday party being held at a location a mile or two down the road. We had 10 rooms booked between us and we all agreed that the rooms were very clean. All had tea and coffee facilities, clean towels, hairdryer even a bible if so needed.... More

We used the Abbey as a stop over venue for a cycling event. The only reason for the 3 Stars is for the twin room we had, a bit dated and the walls are quite thin, so you easily hear other residents in the rooms close by. The rooms were clean and had all the necessary bits and pieces, but... More

Myself and my family stayed at The Abbey Hotel for 1 week as we had my sisters wedding. On the day of arrival we was made to feel very comfortable and welcome. All of the staff made the time to introduce themselves and make the time to check if there was anything we needed throughout the stay which made you... More
