Stayed for two nights. Accommodation is in the converted old fire station comprising of three large en suite rooms. I stayed in Commer (all three rooms are named after the old fire engines) which was a very large room with two single beds and a large double bed. Plenty of space for clothing and it was very warm which was...

Called in for lunch whilst travelling towards Winchester. A lovely looking pub that oozes charm. Fantastic homely, inviting interior with a real fire and period features. Great menu and very reasonable prices. Friendly, welcoming staff and service with a smile. We didn't try the beer as the sun hadn't disappeared over the yard arm (and we were driving!) but a...

It's time to try some of the restaurants out in the countryside so last Sunday we tryed the Coach and horse at Sutton Scotney. It has plenty of parking round the back so you are off the village road. The restaurant is large with a TV area a main bar eating area and a sideroom. The staff are very friendly...

Booked an evening meal for part of a noisy hen weekend. Nothing was to much trouble and staff were friendly and welcoming. There was limited availability of some dishes and the prosecco ran out however we had a great evening and there was a lovely atmosphere.

One of the few places that serves food on a Sunday evening and we'd obviously arrived at the end of a very busy afternoon. Sadly all the roasts had gone but still a great choice on the menu, a very friendly welcome and a bouncy castle in the garden made my son's day! Food was good honest pub grub for...

Staying regularly at the nearby Norton Park we've dined previously at the Coach and Horses and been impressed with the food. However we visited last night to find that the menu was limited with everything served with chips or mash if you went for the lamb. The menu needs to have healthier options including salads and fresh veg.

Hi Bob We thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that on this occasion you were not satisfied with your visit to the Coach and Horses. Our menu has many salad and potato options so we are surprised that you found this to be the case. We cook all our vegetables from fresh daily as and when...

We chose the Coach and Horses to be close to where my husband was attending a fishing course, as it was recommended by the company. We rang the pub direct, and they were very helpful, even booking us a room 4 months before the date without even asking for a deposit. We paid £70 for a double room, Dennis. It's...

Always have lovely food and service here, but the last couple of times I've been I've been put off by the number of people smoking right on the path by the front door. I've had to fight my way through clouds of smoke and when the door opens to the main pub it all wafts in which makes the pub...

We stayed as a couple here in the middle of September. The room itself was very good apart from a slight musty smell. The pub was excellent & the locals very friendly. The staff were very welcoming & the breakfast was of a very good standard. I would recommend this hotel in this nice rural location & it's dog friendly...

Coach and Horses is a short distance from Highclere Castle, Stonehenge, Winchester Cathedral and Salisbury Cathedral (houses the Magna Carta). Our room (Dennis) was quite large with two twin beds that were quite comfortable. The pub has free Wi-Fi but I couldn't get it to work in the pub or in the room. The pub will put your meals on...
