Stayed for a weekend. Dave was a great host and helped us with the local buses and trains to Liverpool as unfortunately the ferry was not working and hadn't been since October. Told us about the walrus card which cost £5.10 for all day travel on buses and trains. Hotel was nice clean and good breakfast included in price.

What a great find! Due to the Labour Party Conference we were unable to get a hotel in the city centre. Found this hotel via hotels.com at half the price we would have paid for city centre. Although across the water, we were just a few minutes walk to the ferry and a lovely wee trip across the Mersey. The...

Dave has given me tips on how to perfect my poached eggs to his standard! He was very friendly with a good knowledge of where to eat nearby. 5...

Yet again, the welcome we received from the Tacy family made us feel at home and comfortable. David is steadily improving the hotel and the amount of work he has put in since our last visit was phenomenal. The view from our room could not be beaten by any hotel, nor could the attention we were give.
