We recently had a wonderful family holiday at the Stables, Byreburnfoot. The accommodation was all that we required, very clean and the location peaceful and scenery stunning. The owners were very friendly and helpful. This is our second visit and looking forward to another. Highly recommended.

Lovely house in a beautiful location, very quiet, about a mile outside Canonbie, overlooking the River Esk. Warm and friendly atmosphere and great service - Jimmy and Lauren really welcome you into their home. The rooms are comfortable, handsomely furnished and very clean. We had a very tasty dinner, and although there were only two of us, two choices were... More

The location is stunning and the room I stayed in was clean and well appointed. Sadly much of the house had a significant smell of dog, which proved quite off putting. I was also asked not to make noise whilst coming and going something that made me feel less than welcome. I was not asked how I slept once during... More

Warm welcome with tea and homemade shortbread upon arrival. Room and private sitting room delightful, just wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. Can't wait to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommended!!

Excellent B&B, thoroughly recommended! The owners were very friendly & the room was very clean. Ideal 'stop over' when travelling South. We would like to return and check out the local area. Thank you.

We stayed for one week in Garden Cottage, with our two year old little girl. We were warmly greeted by both Bill and Loraine and both of them took the time to make us feel at home and introduce us to our cottage. They even got out a Cosy Coupe Car for our daughter to play with. They also have... More

My partner and I recently had the pleasure of staying in the B&B and having previously had a holiday in the self-catering cottages I cannot recommend it highly enough! Bill and Loraine welcomed us with tea and fresh homemade scones on arrival and the level of hospitality throughout our stay was first class. The room was immaculate and very spacious... More

We have stayed here on a number of occasions as its local to my parents. The place is immaculate and previously we have always had a warm welcome from Bill and Lorraine. All I can say is this time it appears we were ripped off on an agreed price when going up to celebrate my fathers birthday weekend!! We arranged... More

We are committed to treating all our guests with courtesy and respect, and our published tariffs are clearly accessible via our Website. We would also confirm that our self catering cottages are let by the week, but are available for short breaks, a minimum of three nights, between November-March. We regret that these guests were unhappy about our costs, in... More

Hosts - Lorriane and Bill Frew have nailed hospitality! My husband and I were lucky enough to stay at gorgeous Byreburnfoot for 5 nights. We had a sunny, and beautifully decorated room, with a lovely sitting area, spacious bathroom, and wonderful views overlooking the magnificent gardens. The linens were the highest thread-count, finest Egyptian cotton, that were beautifully crisp yet... More

Beautiful house in a lovely peaceful location. We had a lovely room with nice bathroom. Lots of animals around and owners were lovely! So friendly and kind. We had a deliciois dinner there which they cooked with local ingredients, mostly home grown. Highly recommended. it is easy to find but please READ THEIR DIRECTIONS BEFORE YOU SET OFF! Don't trust...
