This hotel was chosen for its location. I decided to book a deluxe room that had a private terrace with the most stunning views of the tidal estuary. I was not disappointed. Being able to watch the tide flow in and out from the privacy of the terrace was spectacular. As was the sunrise across the estuary. The room was... More

Stayed here for a walking weekend - the hotel has an amazing view and is perfectly placed for walking the South Devon Coast. The hotel is on several sites and it is a little frustrating to check in and then have to go across the road to find your room - almost like being in an hostel! The rooms were... More

Great staff, great breakfast. Hotel is a little tire round the edges. The manager could do with a walk round. Saying this it was a good stay. Room was comfortable, clean and a reasonable size. Lacked character.

The hotel was easy to find and had plenty of parking available. The rooms are fine with TV, good shower and decent bed. Unfortunately our room did not have a view, only of the car park!! The staff are friendly enough. It is ideal for a cheap and cheerful stopover in the town.

The views down the estuary are ever-changing and, from the top floor room (308) I sat for ages just watching the birds moving as with the ebbing and flowing of the shifting shoreline. Pre-dawn the following morning, the tide was in, the estuary was mirror flat and the light coming up behind the Ness at Shaldon was stunning. The rooms... More

Not knowing anything about this part of England, we chose the Passage House Hotel from our Best Western catalogue. It was interesting finding the hotel tucked away down a quiet lane! On arrival we were shown to our room - very comfortable and attractive. Next morning it was wonderful to have breakfast overlooking the Teign estuary and we were amazed... More

Used this hotel for a recent UK vacation, to be used as a base to visit the Torbay area. Good quality room in one of the adjacent two annexe lodges. Clean, and comfortable beds. Only issue with the room was the poor TV reception, which, even though was reported when we arrived, had not been resolved when we left 8... More

The hotel was extremely good. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to all my friends. I hope to stay there again. This time I didn't eat in the hotel but will do when I return. The facilities are excellent and the pool is a must,

The location is good we had a room overlooking the Estuary, with a balcony. That was a bonus. We wanted a drink on the terrace when we arrived but were told we could not use the area as it was a private party. Pity they didn't bother to tell us when we booked. We booked a Superior room which was... More
