Booming music that vibrated the floors until the small hours - from a wedding party. Several polite requests had no effect. They were aware we would be arriving with 2 children and yet gave us a room close to the music venue and failed to provide 2 single beds per the booking details. They eventually found a (very uncomfortable) z...

Lovely food, excellent service. Everything was cooked to perfection & the atmosphere was lovely. Even though there was a wedding going on in the next room the staff were attentive and on the ball. Soup of the day doesn't disappoint and the banoffee pie is amazing.

We came with our friends and can honestly say the food was outstanding and the service was first class. Would recommend to anyone (especially the cheesecake!). The venue is incredible and you won't be disappointed.

This is such a nice hotel, nestled in the countryside just outside Brixham, Torbay. A very old hotel with more character and history than you can shake a stick at, excellently run with gorgeous rooms. If you are ever staying in the area i would highly recommend it to anyone. They also run murder mystery evenings, which we didn't attend,...

I had booked a carvery for mothers day lunch to be told on arrival that there was no carvery. Instead we had a plated roast which was cold with half a carrot and some tough green cabbage leaf which was unedible . The portions were so small we all had puddings ( yes we see what you did there). The...

Stayed here over the weekend 25th to 28th March, our welcome on arrival by the man with a beard was excellent. We stayed in the Elizabeth 1st room which was lovely, the bathroom was a little cramped but that was not an issue. The room was spotlessly clean and well presented. The new owners have made a few changes which...

I must say that I was rather worried about dining at this establishment, as the reviews are a little up and down, however as a member of my family made the reservation I was obligated to dine for Mothering Sunday, I can honestly say the food was faultless from beginning to end, par excellence in fact, I will say the...

Overpriced food, poor service and poor quality food. Don't mind paying £7.50 for a sandwich but it needs to be good. This was not good enough. What appeared to be sliced bread and a few leaves as a side salad. First two choices of fillings not available on a Saturday lunchtime. Really!
