Undoubtedly very friendly, but this place is in need of a major makeover. Bed was very bouncy and uneven, every time I moved I nearly threw my wife out of the bed! The shower was weak and the decor in a bad way with evidence of damp.Grounds could also be better. Beautiful location with waterfall and could be such a... More

I must say I'm not a fan of Cavery Sunday lunches being a chef, however today we had Sunday lunch with the family. I must say it was one of the best I've had anywhere, Welsh mature beef and pork were both on the unit. Large selection of vegetables, piping hot!!!! Also a very good home made meat gravy that... The hotel was on the main road so easily found and we were greeted by the lovely Karen. Our room was ready despite arriving many hours early much to our delight. We stayed in the family room which was a good size for 2 adults and 2 young children. The room had a double aspect so we looked out into... More

Horrible place, first thing I did was use the loo, once I'd flushed someone else's business away!! So either the cleaner was rubbish or the cleaner does her number twos and doesn't flush!! Wifi didn't work and had no phone signal, food was ok but was short changed at the bar, when I pointed it out to her she said... More

The family who run this hotel are very firendly. It was clean and tidy. However, the room we stayed in was very small and clearly needed some investment. Some basics were missing - no hair dryer in the rooms. Overall it was not worth the money. We've styaed in many B&B which were better equiped,

Set in the glorious Welsh countryside this lovely hotel is close to Devils bridge ,well worth a visit. When sitting in the gardens of the hotel you can hear the waterfall below. We stayed as a family of 4 , 2 adults and 2 children aged 13 and 8 . Room was excellent ,modern decor and very clean. Staff were... More

Staff welcoming and friendly, and helpful. We had to leave before breakfast, they were happy to make up a nosebag and leave it out for us. Pub area a little snug but we were able to take our drinks through into the guesthouse lounge. Room, not quite so hot. We were on the 2nd floor and the space constricted by... More

Yes it's only 2 star, but the welcome was the best. the view from the front rooms is THE BEST. Kites swoop above, grey wagtails hop around the garden and black birds were singing in the trees. A cuckoo mobbed by a meadow pipit flew overhead. Brilliant location for walking and bird watching. For Supper we had plenty of choice... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of April and had a very pleasant stay. The room was spacious. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very obliging. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area. It is in an ideal spot for Devils Bridge the waterfalls and the Vale of Rheidol Railway.
