Enjoyed a nice evening/morning here when travelling for a business meeting. Enjoyed a couple of cold beers in the lovely gardens at the back in the sunshine before having some food in the bar area later on. Breakfast was a good standard. Not the best but very nice all the same and very acceptable. Room was nice (no air con... More

Arrival was the first mistake we had assumed that at the price for the room it would be at least reasonable.. Dreadful welcome, the receptionist did not stand up to greet us and continued a sotto voice conversation with a colleague on her computer. The room was thefurthest possible from reception and clearly this had put the maintenance men from... More

On arrival at the Olde Bell everything looked promising from the outside, plenty of parking, beautiful traditional old building. We did have to queue to check in as there was a large wedding party arriving at the same time as us. Once checked in we went to our room, we opted for a luxury room at £206 for the night... More

We booked this as a last minute deal and got a superb discount on the regular room price. Our room was in the cottage adjacent to the hotel and it was lovely and fresh and clean, with large bathroom and shower. My only issue was that there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We ate and drank in... More

A good stay at hotel. nice breakfast with plenty of choice. TV in room was a bit naff as it kept cutting out as signal was off. Staff were very helpful. Close to the Themes path only 10 minutes walk away from hotel. Plenty of parking. Had a quiet nights sleep.

We were walking the Thames Way and code this beautiful- looking pub for a soup and sandwich lunch. Staff were fine, service fine but the mature cheddar and pickle sandwich was disgraceful. For nearly £7 I received four triangles with not very fresh bread with cheap supermarket pickle and a couple of slices of that square, wet cheap supermarket cheese... More

We needed a room same day to stay over that night for the Henley Royal Regatta and booked on the morning of arrival with some hesitation having read Trip Advisor reviews but it was 'needs must' situation. This hotel has roots back to the 11th C apparently. It's in the village of Hurley which is only a ten minute walk to the beautiful River Thames. The actual hotel is not really much more than adequate. The whole facility is clearly geared to the large party (weddings etc) rather than romantic getaways so creating a balance is always... More
