This is a beautiful historic building on a hill overlooking the town of Ivrea, the surrounding villages and countryside. It is wonderfully atmospheric and sympathetically restored. The restaurant is very good, with an excellent and surprisingly affordable wine list. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I would love to visit again and explore the castle more throughly.

This is one of the very few castle that is very well maintained with a lot of function room. As it is converted, some stair may be narrow. You also need a map to walk around. Dinner (local beef) was very nice. Definitely will come back.

We stayed here with our Labrador and were given a courtyard room to accommodate him. I think we could have had an even nicer room without him but we were delighted with this one. Above all on a freezing cold night they had made this enormous castle warm! The style is faux medieval but nicely done and for weddings and...

I wanted to spend some time in the area from where my grandparents emigrated. The Castello di Pavone was an incredible experience. The rooms were comfortable, staff friendly, and the restaurant menu exceptional. The renovations to the castle brought modern updates while maintaining its historic past.

We have been traveling for three weeks and were allowing ourselves an indulgence. We drove 4 hours from Nice and checked into the Castello. Wonderful is the word. The castle is atop a rock embankment over the tiled roofed town. It is comfortable- good showers, heat firm bed, LOTS of character and seems to have a LOT of weddings. In...

This was the perfect place for our first night in Italy. It's a beautiful location and it was fun to stay in a castle. The bed was very comfy and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The boiler was broken when we arrived and the shower had no hot water the first night. This was very disappointing after a...

Amazing hotel in the castle what was built in 9th century. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Rooms are nice and clean with paintings on the walls. They even have hosts in the castle. Nice place to organize big party's.

We recently stayed at Castello di Pavone for one night. We only saw one other couple during our stay here so we felt like we had the castle to ourself, which was great to explore. It felt kind of creepy at night time as we weren't sure if there was anybody else working or staying in the wing of the...

Location is very close to the autostrada. Tip: follow the signs for the Castello not your satnav or you’ll end up in the narrow winding roads in the old town. Reception is not obvious, but is the door in the middle of the wall up the steps above the car park. There are lots of steep steps, so would not...
