Just got back from a 2 day weekend break at Malham YHA in Yorkshire. The place was ideal for a large group we had 38 people celebrating my husband's 50th. Facilities excelkent, the place was clean. Lots of places for adults to sit and chill and areas for teenagers to hang out. The beds were made up for us which...

I'd normally camp at Malham but was forced reluctantly into the hostel by a tent issue during the previous night's rather ambitious summit camp that had left all my gear soaked. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. Despite dealing with the aftermath of a huge school party they let me use the large and efficient drying...

This youth hostel is modern clean and offers the usual choice of shared bunk bed rooms or private rooms, en suite may or may not include shower, but that is a minor detail as there are plenty of shared facilities. The hostel also offers breakfast and a 3 course evening meal if you wish to avail, and is also licenced...

I had never stayed in a YHA property before, but I was organising a Landscaping workshop for our camera club in the Yorkshire Dales and we needed somewhere on a budget to stay. Non of us expect luxury on these trips and our base is just a place to sleep and charge the camera batteries. Having looked at the website...

Friendly, clean hostel situated ideally central to Malham. Within easy staggering distance from both pubs. Nice spaces outside and a good sized lounge. Yummy breakfast. The staff were helpful to an injured walker and wifi worked fine.

Stayed here part way through doing a charity cycle ride. Accomodation fine with basic bunks as you,d expect. Staff friendly and helpful so would give this part of stay a 5 rating but then the food let it down. Food was tasty but never expected to be rationed and the portion sizes let it down. Evening meal for a group...

The rooms were basic but clean and the kitchen facilities were good. We had a problem with the noise level - our rooms were on the ground level. We tried to go to bed at 9.30 because we had spent the day hiking in Ingleton and wanted to get a good nights sleep to prepare us for the Malham circular...
