(Family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids aged 12 and 10) I really must echo the other reviews when I say that the Palarine is a great place to stay. The owners really do go the extra mile when looking after their guests and true to the reviews, the food is fantastic with a theme each evening and a brilliant breakfast! We were a little concerned about having to catch a ski bus to the slopes as we have always stayed within walking distance, but don't let this put you off. The ski bus runs regularly from Erts (the lovely little village) to either Arinsal (about 4 mins!) or various other ski areas. We chose to leave our gear in a locker at the top of the gondola station in Arinsal (70 euros for a 5 man locker) which is very convenient and means you are never carrying your ski gear! As we booked last minute there were no family rooms left so we had 2 rooms right next door to each other 111 and 112. Both had shower and bath and were large with lots of hanging space. We were never bothered by noise - too tired after a day on the slopes! There was regular entertainment in the Hotel and the New Years Eve celebrations were fantastic! So all in all, a fantastic place to stay. We are looking to book again for next year! Thank you!!

We stayed at this hotel for a skiing holiday and although it may seem a long way from the gondola, a FREE bus runs every 15 mins. Very friendly staff, so helpful and accommodating. Sparkling clean and pleasant room. But the FOOD! We were so impressed-a specific cuisine each night, constantly refreshed buffet, but tastes homemade. Such a great choice but the soups deserve a special mention, just delicious.
In the bar, it is happy hour 4 til 6 every weeknight and entertainment too. If there was any negative I would say there isn't really anywhere to sit if you didn't love the entertainment.

I have just returned from a biking trip to Andorra, we stayed in the hotel for 7 nights and were very impressed. Our room was very spacious and and catered for 3 adults easily. During the week the room was cleaned daily and was always immaculate when we returned from a day of biking.
Downstairs their is a restaurant, bar and two outdoor seating areas, the river was a god send after a hard days biking.
The hotel serves Chinese style food on an evening and this has to be the best Chinese food I have tasted. We ate 3 times in the restaurant during the week as the food was that good. The bar does a happy hour which was a nice surprise although prices were not extortionate. We normally finished our evening with a couple of gins and the servings were always very very generous.
There is secure bike storage in a garage area which is kept clean and tidy and we always felt the bikes were safe.
Finally the owners and staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us, they always seemed more than happy to chat and give advice on best shops, restaurants etc.

Recently stayed ar the Palarine for a weeks ski holiday and can honestly say we won't be back. The hotel is situated at the end of the town with no footpaths and very dangerous to walk. The breakfast was very scarce but as the week went on they tended to bring out more food. Same in the evenings. The rooms however were clean and warm. The rooms in the front of the hotel were very noisy from the outside traffic as they face onto a very busy road. The reception is not manned during the day so if you have problems it may take a while to get them sorted. The bar in the hotel is nice but it's not a very child friendly hotel as there is no where to sit and relax with the kids apart from the bar. There is no lounge area or games room. The hotel is actually in Erts not Arinsal as advertised. The free ski bus arrived intermittently and mostly you'd be better off paying the 1.90 and getting the L5. The roads are not very safe to walk on but we had not choice as the bus goes very infrequently. Overall we had a very disappointing experience but you get what you pay for and if you've skiied before in Austria then you won't be happy with Andorra

Let us start with the owners and staff .They shouldn't live in Andorra, they are Saints and should live in heaven. Nothing is too much trouble. Maria never stops working and Graham is the boss, barman, IT problem solver, tour guide, waiter and could probably walk on water if you asked him to and he would do it with a smile. The hotel is spotless, food unbelievable, well located with easy parking. Secure motorcycle parking is free. Beds and pillows are perfect, bath and shower with lots of pressure and loads of hot water. Went to bed listening to the sound of the river and mini waterfall outside. Bar prices are great, 4 euros a pint. If you go to Andorra and don't stay at the Palarine Hotel, you are Bonkers.

My son and I just returned from a weeks stay at the Palarine. The place is an absolute gem! Food is simply amazing, bar area friendly with plenty of drinks to choose from and live sport in the excellent TV’s. The rooms are warm, functional with very comfy beds, and whilst the bathrooms are a little dated, the shower is powerful and always lots of hot water! All you need on a Ski holiday. Graham and his team certainly go above and beyond to ensure their guests have a fantastic stay! Well done and thank you team Palarine, we will be back. Mike & Brad 👍

We stayed here as two couples and had a fantastic time. The owners could not have been more helpful. The food was amazing and the bar felt like being in a pub with a great atmosphere and a lovely open fire. Our rooms were basic but functional and the shower was powerful with an abundance of hot water all day. It’s a bus ride to the gondolas which wouldn’t suit everyone but the buses were frequent and we had no trouble getting there and back every day. We would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful week in early December as a solo guest and was made to feel most welcome. Great modern clean rooms. Ask for rooms facing rear of hotel away from traffic in front - there is a noisy stream but preferable to traffic noise front side! Food is plentiful and amazing- the hotel has a Chinese restaurant which is very popular with locals. Both Maria and Graham run an efficient and friendly hotel and nothing is too much trouble. Resort is brilliant for families and beginners/intermediates and boasts 300 sunny days a year! Will certainly be back - thank you Maria and Graham

This was my first time visiting Andorra and I could not have picked a better hotel to stay at. I understand that the owners' son was celebrating his 21st birthday with some friends which made the vibe at the hotel in the evenings a lovely place to be. Josh (the owners son) was talkative and made our group feel extremely welcome even though he was there with friends.

The staff were attentive to any request and the food was delicious (catering to both muslims/non muslims).

The room in which we stayed in was beautiful with a lovely view overlooking the stream. The beds were made perfectly everyday as well as the bathroom being cleaned.

The hotel is located opposite a bus stop which made travelling into the town centre or up towards the slopes extremely easy.

I would recommend Hotel Palarine to anyone visiting Andorra and I will definitely be returning!

I spent a week here on a Crystal ski holiday. The owners and staff could not be more helpful, even offering lifts to neighbouring ski areas. The food was axcellent with a different theme every evening. The room was clean and well heated. The bar had a nice ambience with a log fire and comfortable seating. This is certainly the best ski hotel I have stayed at. The position is not ideal in that you need a bus to the resort centre and lifts, but the free ski bus and cheap local buses run frequently.

Yes they are heated. They are allocated on a first come first served basis so I recommend going to the ski shop at the top of the gondola and reserving one as one of the first things you do after arrival. It means not carrying all the kit back and forth every day and means everything is warm and bone dry each morning.
