Detailed Reviews
Recently returned from our stay at this lovely friendly hotel. Nice reception, lovely bar & cafe area and our room (superior) overlooked the mountain and river. It was clean, a good size with plenty of space to hang ski wear. We have been to a number of hotels for skiing and they have been far too warm, making it uncomfortable, here our room was of perfect temperature, the bed and pillow were also comfortable enabling a good nights sleep. The bathroom was well equipped with hairdryer, shaving/makeup mirror, soft towels & a few toiletries. A nice deep bath with plenty of hot water. Booked the spa and the jacuzzi (we had to ourselves) felt lovely after a day on the slopes. The restaurant/kitchen staff were just the best as nothing seemed too much trouble. When I made it known I am gluten sensitive the Manager and the Chef would show me which dishes I could have from the buffet. The Chef went as far as to say if I would prefer something else then he could cook an alternative. There was plenty of choice every night so I was very happy even feeling spoilt on two nights when they made a special dessert for me. At breakfast there was plenty of hot & cold food and when i asked they served a plate of gf breads & cakes. Our favourite night was the New Years Eve Gala which was amazing. It was in a different building and all the tables were beautifully laid out. Seven courses of the most superb dishes all beautifully cooked to perfection. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Stayed here for 5 nights to ski in Arinsal.
Every member of staff we met during our stay were friendly & couldn't do enough to help or to check our stay was going well. This included happily moving us to a higher floor on request.
The bedroom was clean, plenty of space for out ski gear & had a nice view of the mountain. The bed was very comfortable. The the shower & bath were both hot & had good water pressure.
The breakfast was good every day, plenty of choice.
Dinner changed each evening, plenty to choose from particularly on Fri/Sat. The salad bar was very nice & very fresh every day.
The ski bus was a bonus, taking us to the lift in minutes however the walk without ski equipment is a nice 10 minute stroll.
The bar was very reasonably priced & had live music a couple of nights during out stay.
The only issue is the door handles can not be turned from outside so you do hear doors slamming as people leave their rooms.
However this would not prevent me from staying again.

We stayed at Sant Gothard having booked fairly last minute. For the price we paid, we were happy with what we received. The reception staff were not the most friendly but staff in the restaurant were always friendly and polite.
For skiing, the location was good, about a 15 minute walk from the gondola or the free bus arrived around 8:20am right outside the hotel to save walking.
The rooms were basic but had all you needed. Breakfast was reasonable with both hot and cold options provided and free coffee and juices. Similarly with dinner, this was repetitive and basic but included pizzas, chips, other meat options. This was not the most extravagant dinner but for the price we paid could not complain. Drinks were also reasonably priced.
One downfall about this hotel is how thin the walls are. Luckily we were on the 5th floor, but some residents moved in on our last night and returned from the pubs at 4am making lots of noise which was very loud. Luckily they had not been there for the other nights or this may have become an issue. We did tell the reception staff before we checked out, to which their response was ‘ok’…
Overall, if at a cheap price I would recommend this hotel as it is a means to an end. However if expecting 4* levels and a slightly nicer hotel, then may be worth looking elsewhere.

We would really Recommend this hotel, the staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was excellent with an amazing choice, always fresh and the hot food was piping hot. Lovely wines and an excellent cocktail maker the evening entertainment was good too.
The rooms were clean and functional with a lovely balcony over the stream behind. We particularly enjoyed the free bus taking us up to the ski resort and a nice walk back as the hotel was only 10 minutes walk downhill from the ski resort itself. If you’re going skiing it’s well worth hiring a locker and storing all of you skis/boards/boots at the ski resort itself plus there are Plenty of apres-ski bars to enjoy and overall all the food and drinks with excellent value.
We had an amazing time and will be back, thank you for making our trip so good.
Would also recommend a trip to The Caldea Spa in Andorra, simply fabulous!

The hotel was pleasant enough. The reception was pleasant and the staff were helpful. The Double bedroom was a twin room with two beds pushed together. It didn’t even have a double duvet just two single ones overlapping. We requested a safe but they had mislaid the key of the safe in our room so we had to use the safe in our children’s room.
We were on a half board deal, and the food was good the first two nights, then for Christmas Eve and the following two days standards dropped and then rose again for the last few days. I think the chefs took Christmas holidays during this time. They really should have hired in a different chef for these days.
I believe they could have made more of an effort, for Christmas Day in particular.
Because we spent our days on the ski slopes and were tired in the evenings our holiday wasn’t negatively impacted, but with a little extra effort from the hotel it could have been a lot better.

We have just returned from 5nights at the Sant Gothard. We arrived at 9.50pm exhausted from a long journey to a warm welcome, dinner and a drink by the fire. Room was lovely, comfy bed, cute little balcony (in full sun all day) and the gentle noise of the river below. During our stay we had complimentary cava and use of the spa. Breakfast and dinner were both great with loads of choice of fresh food and a meticulously hard working team led by the Maitre d’ Oscar. The ski bus, as others have said, ran on its own time but nevertheless was useful. Top tip is to hire a locker at the top of the gondala to leave ski gear and enjoy a lovely walk downhill back to the hotel each evening to walk off those ski legs!
During our stay, as expected at half term, there was also a large school group staying. My only recommendation to the hotel would be to feed them earlier (before 7.30pm dinner service) so that the restaurant is quieter and less crowded for other guests.
Would most definitely come again and recommend to friends!

We arrived late to the hotel after a long transfer. We rang ahead to say we would be late and we were met by a very warm welcome, a beautiful plate of food and some drinks. The hotel staff are very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The facilities are a little dated but it’s clean and comfortable with a good quality service. The hotel is in a great location, next to a pretty river. There is a free shuttle bus to take you up the hill to the village but we found it a very easy walk back after a few apres ski stops along the way. We’ll be booking again.

The staff was kind and helpful. They were happy to let us lock our luggage in a room near reception because we arrived early, so that we could enjoy nearby hiking.
Our room faced out on the lovely stream that runs behind the hotel. It was a delight.
If you choose not to take advantage of the food offered on site, thete are meant cafes and tastings up the main road toward and beyond the lifts.
The bathtub was a rare delight.
Im so glad we decided to go.

The Sant Gothard is very much not a four star hotel. I have no idea where that rating came from but it’s totally misleading. At most it’s a 2.5 star. The decor is dated, the rooms are tiny (we tried three) and all are very noisy. Be prepared to hear you neighbours’ conversations, footsteps, closed doors and toilet flushes. Our first room was on a corridor that formed part of an atrium off the lobby and the noise was unbearable. We were kept awake until 4am one night. When we called reception to complain the night porter was pretty much powerless to do anything thing.
On a subsequent night the screaming children and piano playing were too much so we insisted on being moved. Initially we were offered a room slightly farther down the corridor but this had no discernible effect on the noise intensity. Finally we were moved to a room on an upper floor which was adjacent to the (ancient) lift shaft. We could still hear all our neighbours’ conversations/doors/flushes but it was an improvement. Other guests we spoke to also moved rooms.
The location isn’t great. There’s about a 1km uphill walk to all the shops, restaurants and the gondola. The ski bus stop is across the road but, as advised by reception staff, it comes whenever. We discovered there is a tracker on the Andorra Bus app.
The hotel staff are pleasant but you get the impression they’re not very experienced (or interested) and that there’s no one’s in charge. The food is fine but unvaried. Avoid this hotel if possible.

We were given a very small room at the front of the hotel overlooking the main road but I requested a room with a balcony so we were moved to a larger room at the back with views of the pool and a small balcony. This was better.
The reception staff were not particularly friendly and helpful and our room card had to be changed every day for some inexplicable reason.
The restaurant is not open for lunch and the bar did not open until 4,30 pm. However, I have to say that both the breakfast and dinner were good and the food varied.

From Barcelona, Lleida, Tarragona, France, Galicia and Portugal, the bus brings you to the door of the Hotel Sant Gothard.
Consult more information on the Andorra Bus website. From El Prat Airport in Barcelona, it also has direct transfers to Andorra la Vella, by Direct Bus. Once in Andorra, take the L5 line to the Puiol del Pui stop, where you will find the Hotel Sant Gothard.
If you come by car, park in our private parking lot, it’s free for clients.
Hello,
Of course you will have enough towels for your room and the wellness.
The hotel has a bar and a pool table but is quite quiet. Then main bar area (and nightlife) are up near the gondola station - Cisco's is great even if a little noisy and it's not too far to walk in shoes - a good bit of stretching exercise and the walk back downhill is easy. The free shuttle bus stops around 6pm but the local L5 bus runs much later and costs 1.80 euro if you are feeling lazy. If you go to Cisco's you will save 2 euro in happy hour (4-7)
If you have already booked to go email the hotel with your booking details and your request they can only say no I've been in two different types of rooms and was happy with them both hope this helps
No they don't but the bar in the hotel has an excellent tea service hope this helps and enjoy you stay
