We were booked in for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. Made to feel welcome on Friday afternoon, my wife and I stayed in the double bed room next to the Sun terrace, clean and tidy with plenty of storage space. Carole and Paul have a great knowledge of the hiking trails and also provided an information pack with all the walks. We were recommended 2 different restraunts for our stay and were not disapointed with either. The marvellous breakfasts were complimented by the magnificent views. We are looking forward to our next visit.

5* stay here at La Casa Serena. The hosts were excellent - great communication throughout and recommendations for hikes and places to go for food. We had an excellent breakfast to start the day - I particularly loved the coffee! There is a lovely room downstairs where you can relax and watch tv/mats available for a mindful session of yoga. The room we had was the ‘old spanish’ - perfectly clean and excellent for siestas in the middle of the day as it goes so dark (always something my bf loves!). Bathroom again very clean. COVID-19 all covered - very impressed with what they have put in place to make sure we are safe! We couldn’t have been more happy with our stay in this beautiful house in the beautiful town of Chulilla - WOW. We will be back to do it all again in the winter! Our fave place for dinner was El Poso. Just outside the square. Sophie and Cameron

We've just come back from our 2nd visit to Chulilla and both times I've stayed in la casa Serena. It's a fantastic, clean, comfy and beautiful B&B. It's hosts Paul and Carole are wonderful people who make your stay relaxed and enjoyable and also know a lot about the area and will help you with the best ideas. The terrace is beautiful over looking the valley with the sun shining on you as you eat a wonderful breakfast all prepared by Carole and Paul. The first time i came to Chulilla was in May of last year with my boyfriend and we had the most romantic, beautiful walks in the prehistoric valleys next to rivers. We chilled out and sun bathed while watching fish jumping in and out of the Charco azul. It was a fantastic small hike with lots to see, next to a beautiful river which you follow to the Charco azul. El Charco azul is a forest type beach that overlooks the beautiful blue water. It was a perfect small hike with lots to see as i wasn't feeling too well and unfortunately wasn't up for doing any of the big hikes around the area. In the evening we had a romantic meal in a restaurant called Hoces del Turia which you can look over the valley's through the it's larg windows with a lovely steak and homemade starters and local wine which was also very tasty. This time we came with friends which in total was 8 of us and Paul and Carole made us feel so welcome and became our fantastic tour guides for the 15k hike around Chulilla in which we saw cave paintings, an enormous reservoir, loads of mountain climbers and the suspended bridges. Everything about this hike was amazing, definitely the most entertaining hike I've ever been on and would love to do it again. On our first night Paul and Carol introduced us to the restaurant Goscan ó S (the climbers bar) which was so fun seeing so many different people and art  from all over the world and we had a wonderful meal which was huge, perfect after a big hike or climb. Lot's of variety on the menu and very international, perfect for climbers and hikers who come from all over the world. It was so interesting to see so many people from all different walks of life. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. The second evening we went to the restaurant Hoces del Turia and had a very tasty gourmet meal with again a very tasty wine. After dinner we went for a gin & tonic especial in a small bar just off the scuare called El cantón and had a great chat with the owner Aleberto and we found out he does the best Paella Valenciana in town of which he is very proud of, so of course we were eager to try it for lunch on our last day. It really was a gorgeous Paella and I've had a lot of paellas in my 16 years of living in Spain. Also had never had the opportunity to try homemade patata brava sauce with smoked paprika. If you like hiking, beautiful scenery, great food and to feel totally comfortable in where your staying Chulilla and la casa Serena will provide.
