This is a beautiful hotel, natural reserve & spa situated at the bottom of the valley in the cloud forest. The cooler temperatures were a welcome relief after the sweltering humidity of the rainforest. Birds and flowers everywhere. Coffee in the room was a nice treat.

We stayed 2 nights in this paradise at the bottom of the valley (very steep and windy drive to get there!!!) surrounded by people with camera lenses bigger than me! Even if you are not a birder this is a fantastic location for hiking, relaxing and wildlife, as the hotel has several great hiking trails in the beautiful woods (steep...

This should be a review for OAT but I will keep it to the hotel. What a gorgeous setting this place is. Flowers and hummingbirds galore. They also have a spa on the grounds with very reasonable prices. The food is good and plentiful. There was even hummus last night which was great. Highly recommend this place. The road to...

Our tour booked us into this resort. I was totally IMPRESSED with the food and bird guide. Melvin Fernandez was our guide. Recommend him to anyone. The room was COLD. Eco lodge has no heat but does have a small ceramic heater to plug in. Chiggars were a problem. Got lots of bites. Room needs a desk or table and...

Spent a few days here; the room was lovely and inviting, the bed comfortable. The Chef made some wonderful meals, all our meals were from the buffet. We had fabulous views of the Resplendent Quetzal on two of our walks, and the birding is truly incredible. I'd love to go back!

Went Quetzal watching with the well known Morino and yes we saw Quetzals and other birds but the main focus is to search for Quetzals. Morino is amazing , quite the gentleman , concerned about making sure we could see the stealthy creature .

We stayed two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are well spread out and have a seat outside so you can enjoy the birdlife. Quite chilly at night and early morning so take warm clothes. We ate in the bar one evening and had a special meal which had been arranged for us by our tour company...

We had a lovely stay (3 nights) at Savegre. The rooms were clean and service excellent. The meals were also varied and excellent, and as an extra touch, the chef came around to visit each table. For us it was about the birds. The grounds are well kept and are filled with humming birds. We did the early morning Quetzal...

The ideal base for exploring the highlands. Great nearby trails and amazing gardens and birds surround the rooms. The food is very good and as I understand the road down to the lodge which has been a problem in the past has been improved to make it perfectly acceptable with great views.

wanting to experience the birding in the area. The draw here is the valley, the countryside and the birds . We were not disappointed with any of those and enjoyed our time at Savegre, having a guide each day helped us so much. We enjoyed the excursions from the inn . The inn is very basic, rooms rustic, baths minimal,...
