A most wonderful and picturesque hotel and restaurant outside Strasbourg on the river Ill (yes, same spelling but nothing to do with being ill, on the contrary, it's the river running through Strasbourg alongside the Rhine ! :-) Very well appointed, large rooms, nice views, all comforts. The restaurant is very good: we were there in their festive hall for...

We visited this area to attend a friend's birthday party and simply chose this as the nearest hotel. Beautiful location and buildings. So much character. Not at all bothered by the noise of the water. It added to the character. Fabulous service and food in the restaurant. Overall a great stay. One word of warning if you are from the...

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is in a rather remote location about 20 minutes from Strasbourg and just outside of the town of La Wantzenau. A stream runs under the building and there's a lovely garden that you can relax in. Our room was comfortable and modern but with no air conditioning. We had the windows open...

The hotel is in a very special building that once was a old windmill. The hotel is owned and run by the friendly granddaughter of the last Miller. The garden and surrounding are beautiful and reminded me of a postcard. The room we got was very spacious decorated with good taste and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. We warmly...

I visited this hotel 26 years ago so decided to stay there when I was, once again, visiting Strasbourg. There was a warm welcome at reception and I decided to eat in my room. I was able to choose a quality meal from the adjacent restaurant, which is owned by the same family as the hotel, but is ran as...

I absolutely loved this hotel and wish I could've stayed longer than the one night stay we had booked. It's located along a river on the outskirts of Strasbourg...close enough to the city to make it an adequate home base for exploring, yet isolated enough to experience the charm of the rural French countryside. The hotel is an old converted...

This old converted mill sits in the countryside near the small, pretty town of La Wantzenau, near Strasbourg. The interior mixes old and modern effectively. My room was large and comfortable with a very good shower. The staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast was great with lots of local cheese, bread and pastries. I had dinner in the restaurant...

An old water mill , the building with strict classical lines dictated from its ancient purpose , had its interior well adapted and restaured for the new purpose of wellcoming one who looks for a peacefull location and a good & personalized service . Roofs are simply splendidly maintained on their original and wooden solution , hardened from decades on...
