We called in here while travelling to Norfolk, been once before for breakfast and decided to call in for breakfast again.found it to be as good as the first time. Breakfast was piping hot, coffee always refilled and staff very on the ball and polite. Passed it again on way home and car park was full.says a lot. Next time we... More

Stayed recently with my partner. Like many other reviewers here we baulked slightly having read some of the more negative comments on here. However, I am glad that we disregarded these and stayed for a night whilst visiting friends. For the price we paid this place delivered. Check is after 4pm but we explained we were arriving earlier when I... More

As we were only staying one night I just booked a small double room for my husband and myself. A few days before I was offered an upgrade for £6. As it was so little I decided to pay the extra. It was so worth it! We opened the door to 'The Huntington Suite', to find we had two rooms!... More

What an ideal stop for truckers and hard working people. Great parking, big breakfast with quality food. Evening meal enormous and much appreciated, hot and well cooked. The big plus about the bar closing at 9pm is that at night, it's quiet. Ok my room was small and dark but it is inevitable that some rooms in an old place... More

A big thanks to Justin for assisting us with our booking for Saturday 11th April 2015 as we needed an extra bed in our room for our daughter at the last minute, we had a comfortable stay, very close to Ickworth House which is where we attended the Re-Enactments.

Quite surprise with all the negative comments here.. We stayed for the night because my partner booked us in a Filipino restaurant nearby. It's fairly clean, en-suite room, breakfast is not massive but it's enough, lovely lounge and we had couple of drink before we go to bed. The little girl who serves us breakfast is lovely as well as... More

We made a last minute booking for this hotel and were impressed by the friendly welcome and building full of character. The bed was comfortable and the room a decent size with modern en-suite bathroom. This certainly beats any of the nationally advertised budget chain hotels which lack the character and charm of this hotel - all in all very... More

This has to be one of the worst places it has been my misfortune to stay in. The food was appalling and the manners of the owners was frankly, unbelievable, even sending me to bed at 9pm when they wanted time for themselves.

Probably the only thing going for it was it's accessibility to the main road passing bury and Cambridge. I was greeted by two house flies in my "suite" that instantly flew into the biggest collection of cobwebs I'd seen, saved me chasing them down I suppose. The ensuite was the smallest, and being 6'5" struggeled with the toilet that dreamt... More
