Amazing self sufficient organic ranch, delicious food, gorgeous bungalows, yoga 2x a day, wonderful people! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to be off the grid, and is looking for a relaxing, beautiful location to recharge in the jungle!

This is a beautiful setting for this organic farm and natural resort. You hear waterfalls, see incredible tropical flowers everywhere. Rock walls are the building material of choice here. It feels far away but is close to all the activities around the Arenal Volcano. They grow their own food here organically and have a great chef who prepares delicious food from... More

We returned last week from a 12 day Costa Rican vacation, where we spent 5 days at Rancho Margot. Our experience at Rancho Margot was definitely a good experience and would recommend this destination to anyone looking for an alternative to the "typical" resort and interested in an eco-friendly and off the beaten path. With me was my wife and... More

After 3 months of traveling Rancho Margot was our last stop. We usually don't do these kind of things, but the description sounded great and decided to spent our last budget here. We were placed in the bunkhouse. Small, but comfortable. At Rancho Margot they really have an eye for detail! They can even make a bunkhouse look great! (your... More

We visited Rancho Margot and had a wonderful tour with an extremely knowledgeable young man. I am sorry I don't remember his name, but he was very inspiring and has worked at the Ranch for many years. The 3 of us learned a lot from him. We were not able to stay at Rancho Margot on this visit because we... More

My wife and I spent four glorious days and nights at Rancho Margot. It is a remote eco lodge near Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. The bungalows are fantastic, with comfortable beds, great bathrooms, and a lovely porch surrounded by beautiful tropical flowers and plants and singing birds. The ranch is fully self reliant and every guest gets a 2... More

One of a kind place. Awesome for 2-3 nights. This is an ecolodge experience-- not for lovers of down comforters. We hiked, kayaked and loved the sustainable tour. Milked a few cows and learned more than we needed about manure and all its uses. Super good staff. Awesome yoga. Food was fresh (almost all from on site) and good (not... More

This was a fabulous property with incredible service, one of the best trips I have had in a while. Stayed in a double bungalow that was clean and in one of the spectacular locations I have had the opportunity to stay in. Located in the rain forrest, the flowers and greenery is lush, beautiful and fragrant! Many out buildings for... More

Wow, I'm not even really sure where to begin! Rancho Margot was truly a magical experience for me. From the people to the food, I could go back here a million times and be happy! They breathe sustainability here so be prepared to throw your toilet paper in the garbage instead of the toilet. The amenities were enough, they even... More

My wife and I were really impressed with Rancho Margot. Sure, it's down a long, bumpy road - but it's worth it. We stayed in a bungalow - we really felt like we were the only people on the whole ranch when we were in there. Swinging on a hammock looking out into the forest from the bungalow porch is... More
