We visited Rancho Margot back in 2010 and wanted to return with our children who are 16, 14, 12 and 4. Our goal was to show the children a completely different environment and create awareness about the eco system, sustainability, respect for nature, labor, food etc. and get them away from the trappings of modern living. We came to Rancho... More

My daughter and I recently stayed at Rancho Margot. Originally we were only going to stay there two nights, however on our very first day there we realized we wanted to extend our stay and remain there for the week! The property, lush and deep in the jungle, was exactly what my soul needed. Our little bungalow was picturesque nuzzled... More

I absolutely loved Rancho Margot and highly recommend to everyone. The grounds are lush, wild and natural. You'll be walking around with hummingbirds and butterflies at your side all day. The housing is clean, rustic and spacious. The staff are all incredibly kind, helpful and will teach you so much on the tour of the ranch. Nothing is as good... More

Stunning, organic, lush and so friendly - Rancho Margot was a beautiful surprise. They are self sustained - they grow all their food on the farm, it's huge and there is so much to see. We were only here for a day - their food was fresh and delicious - buffet style every meal - reasonably priced. We arrived in... More

Warning. $35 per person for the walking tour of the ranch. First let me say that the RanchoMargot was beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and inviting. With that said we specifically went there to embarked on the ranch tour on foot. Our guide was Jose. I don't expect perfect language skills but if I am going to pay... More

Our apology for this less than satisfactory experience with the tour. We are very thankful for your feedback, especially your candid comments about our new guide Jose. We hire only qualified, bi-lingual guides so that on our tour guests can dive as deeply into the detail of what’s here as they care to explore. Often, as was the case here,... More

Daughter Karla scheduled wedding early May 2014. Not our choice of location.Ranch at end of some really bad road (trail). Looks like jungle; it is. Wedding on floating platform in lagoon, beautifully prepared by gracious staff. Reception on overlook platform extremely well prepared by most accommodating staff. Cannot stop thinking about this place. Staff best I've experienced in 75 years.... More

Stayed here for a yoga retreat a friend was hosting and had a wonderful relaxing time. Please note that this ranch is off the grid and in a remote area. The ride is well worth it but it's 3.5 hrs from San Jose on winding roads. The amenities are basic but at the same time plentiful. Attended yoga class twice... More
