Had an incredible time staying at the guest house. Wonderful location and a beautiful well decorated home. So many activities to do on property with a pool and jacuzzi for some down time. A great trail to walk on and the hosts were extremely hospitable and helpful. They provided us with a huge variety of movies to watch and the beds were so comfy. They helped us find the Toucans in the trees and identified the sounds of the animals we heard. Everything exceeded our expectations including our hosts.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Encantada guest house. We have 2 small kids and it was nice to have the games and books for the kids. The kitchen was very well outfitted and the beds were comfortable. The place was very clean and lots of space for our family. Be prepared to drive a steep dirt road to get to the house. The owners were very friendly and kind.

I spent two nights in the two bedroom Casita and although the weather was a bit soggy we had a delightful time enjoying the Rainforest surrounding the property. Marty and Nita were very gracious and helpful during our stay. The location is very close to many activities in the area and we had no problem finding excellent food close by. Unlike a typical hotel room, the Casita has all the amenities of home (and a very comfy bed) it is very easy to relax and unwind if you are not up to adventure and just want to "chill out". A truly beautiful setting.

We had a fabulous stay at Encantada. Communication with Nita was good from the start and the location is perfect. Tropical garden, away from the tourist area of La Fortuna, but not isolated. A 4 x4 is essential to reach the property up the track and also to enjoy the best of Costa Rica. A few reviews suggest the track is difficult but it really isn’t. Completely safe, albeit a bit bumpy, and no problem with a 4x4. The house is comfortable and has everything you need during your stay with plenty of outside sitting areas. Night time is an experience not to be missed with the sound of the frogs and cicadas! Nita and Marty are nearby to assist with tours and the local area. Our favourite restaurant was Howlers just 5 mins drive, the hot springs at Las Lagos were beautiful and perfect even on a rainy day. The highlight for us was horse riding with Lalander up into the hills to a waterfall. A steep trek but the views were absolutely stunning. There are nearby national parks to visit and the volcano. So much to do from a fabulous location....our two weeks flew by and we didn’t do the white water rafting and zip wires. We really loved our stay and highly recommend a holiday at Encantada. Thank you Nita and Marty for making us so welcome.

If you are looking for a peaceful vacation surrounded by nature where your alarm clock is the sound of morning birds singing their songs then this is a must for you . So much beauty to be seen . The hosts greeted us and were able to book the adventures we wanted. The Encantada guest house has anything and everything you might need and the hosts are more than happy to help you with anything . In my opinion this was the best way to see Costa Rica.
