We have just returned from a week’s holiday at the Caramel and from the moment we stepped into the grounds of the hotel, we received the very highest level of service and attention from EVERY member of staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The reception staff greeted us warmly every time we passed giving us advice when we requested it; the restaurant staff waited on us superbly, the cleaning staff were thorough in their work and maintained our room beautifully; the pool guy was attentive and always keen to help if we needed it….there was no one during our stay who did not give 100% . The hotel itself has a great layout and our room was spacious, secluded and exceedingly comfortable, the quality of the food at breakfast was excellent , all of which added enormously to the enjoyment of our holiday. Our abiding memory however will be of the incredible universal team approach to making each and every guest feel welcome and valued.…
We stayed here for 2 weeks and it was fabulous. Our Hosts, without exception were all super friendly and very helpful. I cannot single any one person out as everyone, and I do mean everyone was fantastic. Thank you all. I've been visiting Greece on and off for 40 years, staying in a variety of hotels and I can say with confidence that the Caramel has been the best of all. The Hotel is very clean, well maintained with an interesting layout and a magical pool light display in the evening. Because the Caramel covers a generous area and only has 69 rooms, guests really are spread out over the site and you never feel stacked up with rooms above, left, right and below because they're not there. You get your own space so you sleep oh so well. The low number of guests also means you should always get a sunbed by the pool or beach. We stayed when the hotel was full and there were always sunbeds free somewhere. Now that's a first. The buffet food is delicious, all freshly prepared with small displays that are regularly replenished so you always get the food at its best. The à la Carte menu is beautifully presented and is well prepared. Breakfast has a huge selection of cooked and fresh foods, you wont be disappointed. Traditionally, we never return to the same place as we like to try new experiences. The Caramel is the first hotel we will return to as its an experience we do want to repeat. A big thank you to all our wonderful hosts at the Caramel.…
Carmel was truly an exceptional hotel. It's easily one the best hotels that I have ever stayed in. The rooms are fantastic. The pool is an work of art. The staff remembers your name. The manager visits every guest in the dining area to ensure you are having a fantastic holiday. The breakfast and dinner buffets are one of the best that I had the pleasure to enjoy.
We were here from 08.10 - 17.10.2021. It is a very nice hotel complex with a great pool and beautiful beach. Our sons, 6 and 10 years old, really enjoyed it. Child care by absolute professionals! All the staff are very friendly and the food is great. The rooms are very nice and are cleaned twice a day. There was nothing to complain about and meets all 5 stars. We can definitely recommend the hotel and hope to return one day! Thank you for a great stay Magdalena Las & Antoni Zukowski
Visited the beautiful hotel today . A total tranquil experience with the highest standards of grecotel we have got used to seeing over many years . Had cocktails on the terrace with the most stunning sushi. Huge compliments to the chef .
Amazing resort with fantastic service team! The size of the resort is very good, everything clean, wonderful design. The restaurants are extremely good, the service is excellent, but the „soul“ of the restaurants is represented by Mrs.Konstantina and Mr. Oggy. Both of them made us feel so warm welcomed. The quality of food and wine is absolutly excellent. The beds in the rooms are very comfortable, the pool is clean, big enough and with smooth backround musik. The beach is very big and has also very good service and a cool beach bar. The kids also enjoyed very much. Normally our kids dont like to go the kids club, but the team there was so nice and creative. In summary,
Our vacation at the Caramel Grecotel was wonderful. Even tho Covid is still going around at the moment the hotel was super safe and we could enjoy a beautiful, relaxing holiday. What makes this Hotel so wonderful for us is the amazing service and the very nice team. They always were kind and thoughtful. We would like to thank everybody ( sadly we don't remember all names...) especially the Ladys at the Reception ( Iryna & Persa), the guys at the beach and the very kind Team at the Restaurant. Special thank you and best regards to adorable Litza, Soula, Maria and very charming & lovely Oggy. All the best for you! We miss you. Diana Tamara & Yan.
We didn’t actually stay here but instead visited to have dinner in their A La Carte restaurant. Everything was perfect! The service...just impeccable. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we wanted a special family dinner...this was it! We sat at a table in the ‘lagoon’ ... it’s a space carved out with the pool all around. From starters, to mains, to drinks...all served perfectly (temperature, presentation, flavour, variety, ingredients). Once the children had eaten they went off to watch a film with popcorn at the kids club leaving us to enjoy and take our time with food and drink and soaking in the zen atmosphere. We were so pleased to be welcomed into this hotel and for sure it will be one we visit again!
Our time at the Grecotel Caramel Boutique Resort was incredible. From the beautiful location, excellent restaurants (the breakfast buffet is delicious), plentiful amenities and most importantly the wonderful personnel, this place is a must if you are staying near Rethymno, Crete. We felt so welcomed by everyone working here, that it would be easy to say it's one of the best hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at. They take super good care of you and are very conscious of COVID-19 regulations. Everything was cleaned to perfection, from the pools to the fitness studio. However, the most important part of this place is its people. I have never seen such kind and caring personnel at a hotel before. Any questions or help you need, they are there for you! Many greetings to the wonderful Kostantina Stagaki, who made our stay a truly unforgettable experience. We will definitely be back! xx…
We spent just two nights at the Caramel Grecotel in Rythmnon. We had the most fabulous room. (309). It had a private sun terrace above the main building with a hot tub and a distant sea view. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed, sofa and desk and it had a really large walk in wardrobe which meant, as we were only staying two nights, we could both just open our suitcases without totally unpacking and the mess was hidden from the room. The room was very quiet, no noise from any neighbours because the room was on its own. There was a lift opposite but no noise from that because we seemed to be the only people using it. The beach was a very short walk. We hired a cabana on the beach for 80 euros a day. Which was lovely. There were plenty of sun loungers with umbrellas that were free and the cabanas around the pool were also free. There were a number of restaurants you can easily walk to from the hotel and the old town is a 15 minute taxi ride away. We did a yoga class in the morning which was great. I think they also run a stretch class in the afternoon. The food was great. Breakfast had everything you could want but the very best thing about the hotel was the staff. Oggy who remembered our names even though we were just passing through and remembered my husband was dairy free and made sure he got his porridge made with soya milk on day two without us reminding him. The wonderful Bersa at reception who helped us get taxis, get change, and who arranged our PCR tests even though we had already left the hotel and then helped me sort it out when the lab got my name wrong. She kindly rang the laboratory for me. She really was so helpful and super good at her job. The barman who made my husband a fresh banana Daquari even though it wasn't on the menu. They really did go the extra mile and it was much appreciated. Some of the best service we've ever had in a hotel.…
