This was our first time at this hotel and I would just like to say it was wonderful. From arriving to leaving the staff was excellent couldn't fault them. The food was plenty and varied, if you did have any problems they was quickly sorted. We had a superior room with a pool view and this was spacious and clean, bed was very comfy and so was the pillows. Rooms were clean and tidy and cleaned daily. The pool area was spacious with plenty of seats but not a lot of sunbeds. I have only 1 minor issue and that was getting in and out of the pool as the ladders needed and extra step for me as it was too low and I have knee problems. Despite this we are booking for next year.

Cosy hotel in very quiet area, located 45 minutes drive from Heraklion airport and 10 minutes bus ride from Rethymno. If you prefer you can walk to Rethymno along the beach which will take you approx. 45 minutes. Bech is 5 minutes walk from hotel, just across the road. As for hotel rooms they are nice, clean and just big enough, placed in two story segments spread around beautiful garden. Rooms are cleaned on daily basis, All hotel staff is very nice and friendly, always willing to assist with anything you need. There is rich variety of food covering both local and standard cuisine, The chief waiter will assign you a table and dinner time that will be yours for whole stay, better stick with assigned meal time to avoid unnecesary confusions. There is a nice bar at the pool where you can chill out before or after dinner. The pool itself is quite small, definitely not for swimmers. There are numerous suvenir shops around however you will find much better prices in Rethymno. You may take a bus to get there or more convenient to rent a car and use it for exploring the island. All in all staying in hotel was a very pleasant experience, would definitely recommend it to couples (without kids though).…

It's been our 6th time to Crete and we do think the Nefeli Hotel is the best hotel we've ever been to. It reffers not only to the excellent conditions itself (finally the rooms look like those in the photos), but also the staff - excellent and helpful - everywhere - at the reception, in the bar, restaurant, as well as cleaning service - they work hard and with a smile. The food - really good. I am sure we will come back to this hotel.

We stayed at the Nefeli larst week. Very nice hotel the room was good and the food exerlent. But what makes the Nefeli special are the staff so friendly nothing is too Trouble they make your stay enjoyable

Our family Had a lovely time 10 days ,hotel was very clean, rooms were lovely, hotel staff were very nice 👌 would love to go back again one day it was a sad day when we had to leave we loved olga!❤ hope to see you all again in the near future the cullis family x

The nefeli hotel was fantastic, The room was spacious and modern and the bed was one of the comfiest I have had on many a holiday, ok yes the bathroom was small but clean and well set out. The patio has a table and two chairs and if you book two rooms you can get adjoining patio. Some of the views are good some not so but it sufficed. The breakfast was a good continental buffet if you want eggs and bacon or fruits yogurt and Greek salad. There is a bus stop over the road which heads into rethymno Town for 1.20 each way but sometimes can be full so you have to wait for next tickets can be bought in shops nearby. Visitors in the hotel are mainly german but if you go on holiday not to meet foreigners what's the point in going. There are many restaurants within walking distance at a good price the 5 of us ate a main meal Greek salad and drink with desert fir about 110 euros. The beach is about 10 minutes across from hotel down a road it is a long sandy beach…

Very Nice looking hotel. Lovely clean pool. Breakfast was not the best in terms of hot food selection but if you like a European breakfast, and a good selection of fruits, you will be fine. Snack menu is good with huge portions, reasonable cost for the size of the dishes. We found the rooms an okay size. Balcony and bathrooms quite small. No space in the bathroom for 2 to get ready at the same time, no way for 2 people to fit into bathroom easily. Shower head in the bathroom was 50% clogged with lime scale/grime however the cleanliness as a whole was spot on. We had a late flight home and the hotel allowed us to stay for dinner and provided a room to freshen up before leaving. This room had a similar issue as above with the shower, slightly clogged so not functioning fully. Only other flaw is the locks on the doors can be frustrating to open at times as it isn’t a typical handle. All staff very friendly, most speak great English, Greek and German. Artemis on reception gave us a great recommendation for a bar to go to in the evening, and was very friendly throughout our stay. The reception staff always on hand and no task is too big or small. They even arranged a cheap hire car for us, and said they would cover the credit card for us if necessary. Would definitely recommend, however rooms not perfect for 5* unfortunately…

Just returned from Nefeli with my husband and children. This is my second visit this year. Our first trip in April was fantastic, so much so that on returning I rebooked for August. My experience this time was totally different. We arrived at the hotel at 3am and went straight to our allocated room. On first inspection all seemed well. We all went straight to bed ( the beds are really comfortable with good quality bedding) on waking we went out on to the balcony to take in the view, we where facing the back of the kitchens I think, solar panels and a corigated iron roof, it was awful and also the apartment next doors balcony joined ours! It was a strange layout. Also noticed quite a few Mark's on the interior walls, like a hand print on the wall next to bed, looked like make up. Also glass balconies full of finger marks I was disappointed. But didn't have the energy to complain, we where only there for a week and arrived on the back of a family funeral. I didn't want to sweat the small stuff. The staff in the restaurant where 1st class Olga and the restaurant manager where excellent, really impressed. We have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world eg Sandals Royal Caribbean, Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton and the service in the restaurant was just as good. Everything was seamless, all waiting staff polite and professional and the quality of the food was excellent. Now to my sore point! I needed assistance to get through to my return airport transfer. Everytime I rang I got through to greek speaking operator, we couldn't understand each other so I went to reception and asked the young dark haired girl if she could call for me so I could find out our pick up time, she said no problem call back to the desk after 6pm as she thought it was too early as they probably wouldn't have the information yet. No problem. I called back to the desk at 7pm. Different lady this time, blonde lady in her sixties with a long bob and a long face. I explained that I needed to find out our transfer details for the following day and asked if she could make the call as i was having difficulty. I passed her my phone and showed her the number. She looked me up and down and said I am not dialing that number it is not Greek. And slid my phone across the desk back to me, looked me up and down and then went on to make a phone call, totally disregarded me. This Ladywas exceptionally rude. Firstly I was polite in my approach to her. Secondly I expect reception staff to be highly skilled in customer support. Thirdly it was a Greek dialing code. Fourthly Considering I had chose this hotel for a Second time this year to bring my family for a holiday, both trips combine probably cost around the £5000 mark. I expect better. Speak to customers like that and they will not return or recommend. After another 5 attempts I managed to gather the information for myself on the phone, th gentleman on the phone spoke broken English and we got there in the end. The receptionists manner towards me was disgusting, not sure what her problem was.... On that note I would not return. The rooms are good and also the food. If your lucky enough to get a room with a decent view great, but its pot luck. We had the use of a courtesy room on the last day as we where flying late. This room was at the back of the complex. I was so grateful we where not allocated one of those during our stay., balcony overlooking the dual carriageway! You would be unhappy looking at that for a week or so. My feedback is that Nefeli is not that special (except for restaurant) improvement needed with staff attitude on the front desk.…

We loved our stay at Nefeli!! - Our room was well designed and cleaned daily. - Breakfast (and coffee) were truly divine. - The staff were lovely and helpful with everything from recommendations on things to do in Milos to bike rentals to ferry transfers. - The location is beautiful and close to excellent shopping, restaurants, and bars.
