Lovely place!
I stayed at Castello Bianco in September 2018 and loved the place.
The room was large, clean and serviced every day (towels and sheets are changed every third day). The room was a little outdated but in very good functioning order. I had Wi-Fi in the room which was

Dear Guest, We thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your kind words. At Castello Bianco, we think that holidays are one of the most important moments of the year and that it is our duty to make them as nice as possible for you. And we are really glad when we succeed, it is our best reward. As for the rooms, we have already started renovating them with new fridges, new flat TV screens, new ovens and more.. Outdoor places of the hotel have already been renovated and during the winter we start rebuilding of some rooms. Our oldest rooms which are the studios (We have 15 ground floor studios) will be demolished starting in 10 days and replaced by 7 state of the art One-Bedroom Suites with Jacuzzi or steam Shower and many more exciting features. Over the next few years all the hotel will be upgraded to this standard. So all in all, we are dedicated to make the hotel better than now but also keep the family and friendly atmosphere. Thank you once again for your kind words. Warm regards Yannis .

We literally booked this a week before departure as a last minute getaway. Wasn’t expecting much as the price was so low and was on sale as an unsold Holiday.
We were pleasantly surprised, super friendly staff, cheerful and very helpful.
The apartment had a separate kitchen, bed

Dear Guest, We thank you for your comment and for your kind words. We are happy you enjoyed your stay. We think that holidays are a very important moment of the year and it is our duty to make as pleasant as possible. Concerning breakfast, the difference we have with other hotels is that we like producing fresh food. Therefore, all the eggs types we offer (more than 50 types altogether) are produced to order. Same thing is valid for cheese and delicatessen. We offer a much bigger choice of cheese (usually 3* hotels have only 2-3 types) and delicatessen. But all these things would not hold on a buffet, so we have chosen to serve them from the kitchen to your table. Same for the omelets, scrambled eggs etc. We could not possibly have them on a buffet as we would need to produce 42 different types of omelets, not calculating scramble eggs, poached eggs etc etc. It does look messy but at the end of the day, we are one of the few hotels where you can have exactly what you want on your plate prepared fresh, just for you. Once again, thank you for your kind comment. Warm regards Yannis

Hi, can anyone tell me if there's anyone near these apartments that does day trips??? We're travelling with Jet2 next year not sure if there will be a rep about.
Sorry, I had not noticed your question until now. There are plenty of agencies for days trips in the area (10 minutes walk from here), and they have a vast choice of offers to choose from according to your preferences. Also, we work with Thomas Cook and TUI which do have reps coming at the hotel. So if you do not wish to go around the travel agencies of the region, you can also book with them. Our reception will give you all the needed information. Kind regards Yannis

What are the local surrounding bars and pubs like, is it expensive to eat and drink out ??? Thanks in advance
There are two restaurants within a block, both very reasonable. A bit further up on the main street are many more. Given our short stay and the long day we put in by hiking the Samaria Gorge we didn't get a chance to get out to any bars or pubs. Generally, we found food and drink to be relatively inexpensive on Crete
