We stayed here for two nights while travelling around Malaysian Borneo. The hotel is next door to the Orang-Utan and Sun Bear sanctuaries (a five minute walk). It is also just a half hour walk (or ten minute taxi) to the amazing Rainforest Discovery Centre...More

A lovely lakeside setting with rustic lodges in close proximity to the Orangutan rehabilitation centre and an ideal base for both the Orangutans and sun bears. Food was adequate rather than an event (applies to both breakfast and evening meal)

This was a great location. Walk to Sun bears and Orangutans. 30 mins into Sandakan or Lapuk Bay for the monkeys. Lodges are very comfortable, staff super helpful and friendly. Food was varied and delicious. Nothing to fault here.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. The rooms are huge and the gardens are beautiful. Each room has its own private balcony and hammock and it’s really quiet. It’s walking distance to the Orangutans and Sun Bears and 1.5 k to...More

They don’t do them and when we asked they just said to jump in a taxi at the airport and we had no issues at all doing that

We went in April/May but as has been suggested just search for the rainy season - remember it is a rainforest and just because you are out of the rainy season doesn't preclude really heravy thunderstorms and rain (I mean... More

I'd recommend staying longer in Langkawi (it's beautiful) than staying for 4 nights in Sepilok - there's not much to do in Sepilok so you do it in a day/maximum 2. Or we went to Perhentian Islands too if you can get over... More
