I stayed two nights at Cools Farm as a base for doing some family history in the area. What can I say beautiful location...stunning farmhouse and very friendly hosts. I stayed in the Edwards room which was very comfortable and which had lovely views of the pond and across the fields which looked stunning with the sun and early morning...

We stayed in the 'piggery' for a week. Self catering. We were lucky in having hot and sunny weather. We had taken our sun chairs so we could just rile the day away, on our private lawn. We were also lucky ,in that it ,was hay making time. A real insight to what the farmers ( ours was Quentin, the owner...

My husband and I stayed at Cools Farm during our trip to England for our 9th anniversary. We had a wonderful stay. Quintin and Maggie are very accomodating. Sometimes European travel can be hard when you are from America. The Edwards made our stay as easy as at home. We have stayed in many B&Bs and Cools Farm ranks side...

Cools farm's web site claims it is a "magical place" - and I fully agree! The pics looks nice on the web, but actually it is much nicer in real life. After a little struggle to find the way we finally arrived and were warmly welcomed by Maggie who showed us the room. We had the family room at the...

My girlfriend and I found Cools Farm an ideal vacation away from London, where she's studying full time. Less than two hours' drive from Heathrow, but a whole different world of gorgeous walks across farmland, quaint villages, and grand and ancient buildings, ruined and otherwise. We stayed in the Edwards Room, which has a huge, very comfy bed and plenty...

Be sure to leave a trail of breadcrumbs along your route to Cools Farm. This working farm is accessed by one-lane roads winding through the hills. While not actually "close" this could be a good base for seeing Avebury, Salisbury, or Stonehenge. Pleasant room, good breakfast, just be sure you take detailed notes if asking for directions to the B&B...

We searched for a farmhouse setting and thank goodness we hit on Cools Farm.It is a beautiful old building, faithfully restored and retaining charm and character. Maggie and Quentin were perfect hosts, helpful, kind and full of enthusiasm for their working farm. The countryside setting was wonderful, our room spacious and comfortable and breakfast a joy to wake up to....

We stayed at Cool's Farm for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Even during our planning/reservation Mrs. Edwards, the owner, was very helpful and fast responding to our inquiries. Admittedly the place is a little hard to find without GPS but the location between woodland and meadows in beautiful Wiltshire totally makes up for it. We stayed...

What a beautiful house. The room was lovely and spacious for me and my family. The views across the fields were wonderful to wake up to. The owner was very accomodating and gave us a lovely history on the house. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and set in a very homely dining room. We would recommend to anyone who...
