This place is getting really old. The lobby looks pretty nice and the staff is friendly, but the hotel is far from 5 stars. Each floor was dimly light and the room was small. Walking in, you would expect big nice beds with fancy furniture. At the Pan Tower, you get small uncomfortable beds with cheap wooden furniture that is... More

Good sized rooms with river views, reasonable Chinese and Western food in its restaurants, good breakfast selections and close to HongKong-Kaiping bus depot. Very happy staying there exploring our ancestral villages in Taishan.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel in October. I am quite happy with the hotel experience. I requested a high floor, non-smoking room. They gave us what we asked plus more. The room is a good size room with a beautiful view of the river that we can enjoy the lighting along the riverside at night. The room itself... More

For Pan Tower to call itself "international" I had some big expectations. They try to cater to overseas Chinese like me. The rooms were clean, the service was great, and the continental breakfast fabulous. But the reception does not offer the best exchange rate and the Bank of China, located next to the hotel, requires you to have an account... More

I stayed at this hotel since 2003 and whenever I am in town at Kaiping. I think they had changed ownership in between, but not sure. One good thing is the hotel is still well up keep. The hotel is clean and service is good. Food is so so, if compare to some other place where the local people can... More

This is the BEST hotel in this tri-county Kaiping area. Lobby looks great and the dim sum restaurant is good. The hotel rooms are so so. I would rate it 3.5 stars for hotel rooms in China. Other than the tall structure, concrete, and possible services available, the rooms are outdated. SpringHill or a Hampton Inn would have a cleaner... More

This hotel offers the basic hotel Chinese standard room to premium western standard hotel. The Chinese Standard room has wood beds not mattress so was difficult to sleep. The Upgraded rooms or western rooms had mattress but was lumpy. The sign non smoking seems to be optional.

This hotel is located on a small peninsula where the three rivers meet, very quite. You can run along the banks. They have a nice grass area, perfect to lay your mat and do some Yoga poses! The newer room on 25th floor has softer bed is definitely a plus.

The hotel rooms were so aged, it looks exactly like the ones I stayed in back in 1987 when I 1st visited China. Beds are way too hard to sleep in. Hotel guest rooms don't even have coffee provided. Breakfast is not good. The only thing is presentable is the lobby. This hotel do not have non-smoking rooms.

I understand that this is sort of the most Western style hotel to stay in while you are visiting Kaiping and it's one of the few hotels in the area, but this hotel was just weird. It's supposed to be like this wonderful grand hotel and it sort of looks like that, but then there are all these things that... More
