If you want to avoid a hassle trip, skip this one like what most of the negative comments stated. We booked a boat with them, clearly exchanged phone calls that the cost for the boat for each head is 300 ROUNDTRIP. I even sent an SMS to the manager to summarize what we've talked about. The manager seemed haven't seen... More

Liberty's community lodge is pretty much the only option when it comes to spending a night on this Island. Its prices aren't so bad and I GUESS its kinda decent. I went to this Island bc I was told it was one of the top sites to dive HOWEVER! Their dive shop is an absolute disaster all the gear is... More

We came to Apo Island stoked about diving and snorkeling with turtles and we left absolutely disappointed. Upon arriving at the island we went to different places to check out the rooms (including Apo Island Dive Resort & Mario's Inn). At every place we encountered rude staff that seemed annoyed to give us any type of information. We ended up... More

The room was really beautiful, with a balcony above the sea, for an incredible cheap price! You get a good price if you dive, but, considering the price we paid, they might also try to bring people back after the destruction of the world famous marine sanctuary by the typhoons (on east part of the island). But the other diving... More

Local staff are easy to get along with, though I knew some of the people beforehand as I've been to the Island when I was a little boy (25 years ago). I could say that the rooms they have has the best view of the beach front. Do not expect luxury, just go along and feel the simplicity of the... More

Great local staff, food and simple but clean rooms. Not for luxury seekers. Power was supplied with a generator that was off after a certain time. You would use rain water for shower. I am not sure if conditions were improved. However I was happy and extended my stay for 3 days...

I loved my stay at the lodge. The friendly atmosphere and luxurious room where a breath of fresh air compared to some other parts of the Philippines. I had a lovely and amazing time. YOU HAVE TO DIVE when you're there! Paul's Dive Centre was amazingly friendly, and I, as a complete beginner, felt very comfortable. I never dove in... More

I really enjoyed being able to stay on the island, snorkeling early in the morning before all the tourist arrived, watching the sun set from the dining room terrace, etc. But be prepared to rough it. There is only electricity a few hours a day, so the night was hot without a fan running. Ask for a sea view room.... More

Swimming with the turtles was magic and staying on the island means you can do it a few times. However, this resort is not the most comfortable due to salt water in the bathrooms and infrequent electricity making for uncomfortable nights. It is the nature of the island and if you can get one of the sea view rooms especially... More

I stayed in the dorm, which is pretty grim. Bucket sea water showers. There's no electricity after 10pm so it's an uncomfortable nights sleep. The food is ok as is the snorkelling but you'd be much better off just doing a day trip. It works out much cheaper too. The beach is awful and seems to be the only place... More
