Thank you for a great stay and really relaxing holiday. Having read all the positive reviews for the Hotel Rossis we were really looking forward to our stay and we weren’t disappointed, what a fabulous traditional hotel. The family are so warm & friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Whenever we told anyone where we were staying they all said “lovely family, the best hotel in Messonghi” and we couldn’t agree more. Messonghi has a few luxurious and almost certainly expensive hotels but if you want to be right on the beach in a friendly, family run, traditionally Greek hotel then Rossis won’t disappoint. We upgraded from a studio to a sea view room and it was worth every penny! The view was amazing, our room was bright & airy, had everything we needed, so quiet and cozy. The bed was huge and so so comfortable, I think I had the best night’s sleep ever. The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice with a hot selection that changed regularly, the home made pastries were a special treat. Fabulous pizza in the bar! Also loved the boat trip with Captain Homer. A great stay and we will definitely return.…
Booked through Tui as was very impressed by the photos that are listed on their website. Decided to 'splash out' as Tui call it, on a self catering studio. Be warned - you will not be put in the building on the beach as shown on their website, but in another annex building that is not of the same standard. Our room was dark and our balcony had no sunlight whatsoever at any time of the day, so it was a very cold and depressing place to sit out, no view either apart from bushes and bare earth. Full marks go to the cleaners that emptied the bins and made up the beds daily. However during our weeks stay our white towels or bedding was never changed. Whilst sunbeds were available free to guests, as the stretch of beach is so narrow we were sat in shade by 3.30pm so had to move around to the chairs situated by the hotel entrance to get more sunlight each day. Overall a very disappointing holiday compared to what was expected under Tui's advertising.…
Excellent small hotel. Right on beach. Excellent staff. Especially Alex . Who was the hardest worker I’ve ever seen . From breakfast to early evening. Never stopped. Cleaning tables . Serving food and drinks. As well as a beach service. Very, very. Polite and always with a smile . Top bloke. Rooms lovely. Recommend superior sea view. Cleaning staff excellent. Cleaned room every day as well as making your bed up . The only reason I don’t give five stars. Is the shower is very small and would be better with out cubicle. Never thought I’d rather a shower curtain!!! If you opt for bed and breakfast it is excellent and the best options. Because you are very limited to find anywhere open until lunchtime. As for the resort mixed feelings. We did not think were in Greece. Did not have that feeling. Could be in any holiday resort. Nice and flat to walk to restaurants, if you have mobility problems. Only some opened lunch time. Most evenings only. And we found it far more expensive than our usual place we go to in Greece. Free sunbeds out side hotel on beach. If you could get one ? Most were gone by 7am . Towels on that early . I only tried one morning. And said sod it . I’m on holiday. Not getting up that early. The Germans. Beach shoes recommend as first mitre to get into sea is pebbles after that sand and shallow for at least 100 metres, very safe bathing. In saying all I will go back but for only a week. Lunch in hotel was good. At decent price. As were drinks. If want an excellent small hotel you can’t go wrong. And must mention Alex again. An absolute Diamond. 👍…
Excellent small family run hotel in Messonghi, Corfu. Kept immaculately clean, excellent food and drink, free safety deposit box and free sunbeds if you are a hotel guest. Toiletries provided along with a hair dryer, fridge and coffee making facilities. Looking forward to a return trip soon
Just home from a wonderful week in rossis hotel, everything about this hotel is brilliant, staff, location and food is 5 star, dying for next May,big hello to Alex,he's a wonderful asset to the hotel and always smiling, even when he was very busy
We have just returned from a week at hotel Rossis. I cannot praise this place enough ,it’s so picturesque & we couldn’t get enough of sitting on the beach relaxing in the day & then watching the sun set with a few drinks. The food is lovely & very plentiful The staff are second to none & are so friendly, especially dimitri, taki & takis son sorry cannot remember his name & then there is Alex he is an absolute diamond ,always greeted us with a smile & works so hard & is a credit to the hotel . We went out in the evenings & ate at kostas & Marilena, food is beautiful at both restaurants but kostas about € 10 more expensive than marilenas & the portions are big & consistently delicious, just make sure you book as they are so busy ,we went to the barina bar most evenings & the waitress Angela was so friendly & gave us a hug on our last evening, the best pina colada’s in Messonghi! Only downside is the sun beds go very quickly & early & on 1 occasion we had to go next door & paid €7 for 2 sun beds for the day & a lot of people who aren’t staying at the hotel use the beds as they are free. We stayed in a duplex apartment,it was very basic & the showers are small but we only slept & showered there & it was clean so no complaints. Overall I would 100% recommend this hotel & we fell in love with it & booked to go next year whilst we were there. Thank you to Rossis for a perfect holiday…
My husband and I are just back from 7day vacation in Messonghi staying at Hotel Rossis from the minute we arrived we were treated so well. We stayed in Room 110 which had amazing views over the Ionian Sea . The room was pleasantly decorated air condition very good there were some English speaking channels on the TVmostly news. Sunbeds were directly infront of our room some of which need replacing but we found comfortable ones and no shortage of them. Breakfast was adequate not a fantastic selection but ok. Food at lunchtime was excellent fantastic choice the waiter Alex was so pleasant not sure if he was family but Rossis Hotel are so lucky to have him a harder worker you won’t find anywhere. There is lovely seating area to relax in at night the bar staff sorry I didn’t get names were excellent .Highly recommend the cocktails. I was looking to book again for May of next year but availability not on their web site at present but I will keep looking Overall recommend this hotel 100 percent. H…
Everything about our stay was impecable. From the clean, large rooms, to the welcoming staff and the amazing FREE beach, I cannot sing this hotel enough praise. It was placed in the middle of the city, and the bus stop was right outside the premise.
We stayed in Room 210 for a week and had the most wonderful, relaxing time. For us, the Superior rooms at Rossis Beach Hotel are truly superior because of their unbelievable view (they're also freshly decorated and comfortable, with air-con, fridge, modern bathroom and satellite TV including BBC World and lots of US or UK movies and programmes on foreign language channels which are subtitled in Greek or Albanian but the audio remains in English). You are ten metres from the crystal clear Ionian Sea, have uninterrupted views across open water to the Greek Mainland, and there are pine fringed headlands on either side. Stunning. Members of the family which owns and operates the hotel are delightful, and they have an excellent team. Other reviewers have mentioned Alex the waiter - a more hard working and more smiley person you will struggle to meet. He was fantastic. But the housekeeping crew were also exceptional and the room was spotless. We liked the bar and terrace for snacks, the complimentary beach loungers and parasols, and the breakfast which included fresh breads, yoghurt and honey. There is also a very well-stocked and reasonable supermarket just down the street, and Tavernas are all around. Swimming in warm shallow waters was the absolute highlight of the holiday for us, and the fact that we were just a few paces away from enjoying that was brilliant. Rossis was an ideal Greek beach holiday place for us - small, friendly, right on top of natural beauty, relaxed and easy going, and well placed for the bars and authentic tavernas that everyone enjoys. And no passing traffic!…
Spent a week here with my partner, amazing experience. The hotel is family run and the welcome is truly authentic. Right on the beach with the most amazing sunrise each morning. The entire hotel is spotless clean. All the staff go above and beyond for their guests. A true gem. The food is very reasonably priced and delicious. It's easy walking distance to supermarkets and ideally situated for buses. Hearing the waves daily just made the whole experience special. Will definitely be back to Hotel Rossis, thank you for a wonderful experience we are so full of gratitude Pamela and Antonio's.
