We arrived at Olivar the day after it opened for a 2 week stay. Knowing that new hotels often have 'teething problems' at the start we entered our holiday with an understanding attitude. Overall we loved our stay and would recommend the property. The hotel made clear improvements day by day and I believe that in a few months time, with the constant feedback they are receiving and the finishing touches that are being applied, this will be one of the top properties in Corfu! I do believe they have some things to learn in order to become a top 5 star hotel but again, I believe this will come with time. It is the little touches of housekeeping for example - ensuring your towels are folded nicely, you have extra toilet paper, your dressing gown is replaced if taken and other little things like this. The hotel is beautiful and minimalistic with the rooms nice and modern. the pool area is very picturesque whilst also having access to a private area on the beach. The food was very good at breakfast and the chefs were accommodating for my vegan girlfriend (once they got the appropriate ingredients in). The staff were generally very nice however could benefit from additional training to avoid always asking the manager for some rather straightforward answers (again, I think this will come with time). The locals are all amazing and really made our experience of staying at Olivar.

Had an amazing in the Olivar Suites. The room was very clean and spacious and looked exactly the same as the one we booked online. The interior design is exceptional. Waking up in our suite was the best part of our accommodation because we had the most beautiful view of the sea we could wish for. We highly recommend also having lunch and dinner at the restaurant of the Olivar Suites. The chef prepared really delicious meals for us. One of the best accommodation experience i have ever had.

Amazing holiday experience - great vegan options and incredibly friendly staff! Highly recommend booking The Olivar Suites as it will grow out to become a very well known resort/hotel in the future and is a gem to discover early. The Olivar Suites are a brand new hotel with local staff and an eye for sustainability. The layout of the resort is that of an old Corfu village in which the suites are all independent 'houses' (the rooms without pool are sometimes on the top floors of others) with beautiful little roads and an amazing main pool, bar and restaurant. Staff was incredibly friendly in accommodating our wishes from yoga matts in our room, to decaf coffee, to alcohol free wine and late check-out. All menus have a lot of vegan options and the chefs are happy to think outside the box and accommodate allergies and other food preferences. Beautiful location right on the beach. We had the pleasure of meeting the General Manager Ioannis Stefanidis who with an international background and a masters degree in tourism management from London, really understands how to operate a quality high level hotel to a 5 star standard.

Dear Sanne, We would like to thank you for taking the time to express your experience at The Olivar Suites online. Your heartfelt comments is the best award in our new beginning. As a brand new hotel, we are doing our best to focus all our attention to our guests and their needs with a warm smile, offering genuine Greek hospitality. Every start is tough, but with good will and team effort we are targeting to offer ultimate satisfaction to our guests. The entire kitchen team and our awarded Chef is thankful for the great review and they are already working to add even more vegan options. Last but not least, I would like to personally thank you for all the great words you wrote for me. Warm Regards,

From the moment you arrive this place has the wow factor. The lobby is stunningly presented with clean lines and earthy, muted interiors set against modern furnishings that really gives it a contemporary edge, while the friendly staff instantly make you feel at home. Looking down from beyond the lobby, which is situated a floor up, the accommodation presents itself as a quaint Corfiot village with sugarcube houses set amongst olive trees. The sales manager actually informed me prior to the hotels opening the grounds were in fact an 18th century olive farm, and they've kept the main mill in tact and renovated it to create the Olibar bar. I stayed with my girlfriend in a Majestic Suite which was incredible and very true to the pictures on the website, the outside terrace is huge, with a pool big enough to swim lengths, and it comes complete with outdoor shower and oversized sunloungers. A nice touch is that the indoor shower actually has a door directly connecting to the outdoor shower which makes the interior seem even bigger. The rooms are beautifully decorated with little touches that bring sparks of luxury such as a lighting scheme that dims / brightens as you enter different areas. If privacy is important to you then this is the suite you should go for, completely hid away with nobody able to see in from above or from the side thanks to the stone walls and tropical gardens. The food is a real focal point here and we've been blown away by the quality. We stayed on half board which is incredible generous as its flexible meaning you can decide on the day if you want to take it as lunch or dinner (even as room service if you prefer) and you also get a very nice €45 credit, so €90 per couple, with some of the signature dishes costing just €22. I read one review unjustly claim that the credit was too small, which I found perplexing as honestly you will struggle to spend it in most cases. We ordered 1kg of cote de boeuf one evening to share, which was expertly cooked and seasoned and came in at €60, it could have fed 4 and we were still able to use the remaining €30 on olive oil potato fries, seasonal greens, watermelon salad starter, even dessert. The culinary team are young, enthusiastic and imaginative mixing showcooking with local Corfiot dishes. I've stayed in many hotels but to have showcooking, wow-factor dining like this every night on the HB is something special. We were informed the head chef has also had the pleasure of working with Gordon Ramsey. Same goes with breakfast which mixes a la carte with buffet, and again you can expect local Corfiot a la carte breakfast dishes. The banana omelette with activated walnut, almond butter and Corfiot honey was a personal favourite. The hotel would benefit from having some descriptions on the buffet items as this is not your typical buffet. Even this has an element of showcooking with local handbaked cakes and pastries on offer as well as cumquat syrups, jams, fruit bowls, it would be nice to see exactly what each local delicacy is. There is a spa with treatment rooms and a well equipped gym and there's also a sauna/steam room although that won't be in operation till 2022 due to Covid. The hotel also did a great job of sorting our antigen tests arranging for a doctor to come to our room at a time that suited and costing just €35pp. Overall this has been a very impressive stay for such a new opening and I cannot wait to come back in 12 months to see how stronger it has become because honestly I believe this will go on to be one of Corfu's, and Greece's, top hotels.

We stayed at the incredible Olivar Suites shortly after they opened, and we’ve had an amazing time! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel very welcome, and we were very well looked after. We stayed in the Majestic Suite, which had a private pool and an outdoor shower. The bed was really comfy, and the Jo Malone toiletries were an amazing touch! The food has also been excellent, with lots of options for lunch & dinner. I’d recommend going half board, as you get a credit which can be used for lunch/dinner. Our favourite dishes have been the Watermelon Greek Salad and the Cote de Boeuf. Thank you for an amazing stay, we can’t wait to come back!
