the hotel is right on a pebble beach, and about 100 - 150 mts from the main beach area.
Whilst the hotel is slightly tired looking in places, it is still impressive. the standard of cleanliness is superlative.
they are probably the best with regard to dealing with COvid and are completely on top of it, making sure people are using their masks etc, gel aplenty to use.
Wasps are a bit of a hazard in Roda with fruit ripening, however there are simple and effective wasp traps all over that really work, I had no issues with wasps at all.
The food is good and actually varies from the menus of other restaurants along the strip by offering different meals. on site garden produce is used in the cooking too, so its fresh stuff. Breakfast was unspectacular, but sufficient.
There are three areas for rooms, some facing the sea, other rooms off site slightly and a row of rooms at 90 degrees to main building which is on two levels. you can see the sea/Albania from the top floor balconies if this interests you. Only niggle about the rooms was there needed to be more sockets. The bathroom was spotless, and the shower was fine.
Top floor balconies face directly east and you have a lovely sunrise view, but in the evening no sun comes into the room, but you can watch the sunset at the bar (sundowners anyone?)
It is quiet, peacefully quiet. the pool is ok for a dip and there were enough recliners at the time. However there is a large strip of grassed area which also has recliners available, so you should never have to fret about getting a lounger here.
Rooms have free air conditioning, but there is a charge for safety deposit boxes. if you are hiring a car, you have ample parking onsite.
There is an outside and inside area for either dining or having a drink overlooking the sea.
Overall a very nice place. would I return there? I can't think of going anywhere else, so yes

We booked to stay at the Coral Hotel after reading the reviews and looking through the pictures of the amazing scenery. The pictures are good and still don't do the place justice! The view from the front bar/restaurant is fantastic. Every single member of staff is friendly and helpful, there is a good choice of food on offer (and plenty of it) but there are other restaurants close by if you fancy a change.

The room was clean, with a nice big bed and good shower. The hotel in general was very clean, with staff quickly and consistently disinfecting tables once customers had left them.

Regarding Covid, we felt very safe. The staff all wore masks constantly and there was plenty of hand gel around for our hands. The breakfast and bbq evening both used to be self service buffet, but now the staff serve it to you whilst ensuring everyone maintains distancing.

Although the mitigating measures sound strict, they actually didn't impact on our enjoyment of the holiday. We were sad to leave the hotel and Roda. We wanted a relaxed, quiet holiday with good food and plenty of sun and that is exactly what we got.

We would recommend this hotel if you want the same, we will definitely be returning!

Visited in August 2020. Staff were extremely friendly and hardworking during the pandemic and followed all procedures needed. This hotel is in an ideal location, just a 5 minute walk to main restaurants and bars but far enough away to be in a lovely peaceful location. Nice hotel with amazing views of the sea and Albania to enjoy whilst enjoying a meal or an evening drink. Decent pool area with an additional sea facing garden to laze in during the day. Lunches were good, we never ate here in the evening due to the wide choice of restaurants in the resort, but the restaurant was always busy and recommended by many. I will definitely have an evening meal on my return. Breakfast was a little basic but perfectly adequate and room was again perfectly fine, Greek style with everything you needed including free air conditioning. We wasn’t given the room we expected from the photographs on booking, but believe this to be the fault of the holiday company. We chose not to complain about this as this was a minor issue at a genuinely lovely hotel. Hope to return when possible and perhaps book a sea view room next time.

A group of 18 of us stayed (Mums and teens / 20+ - with some coming, going and crossovers). Rooms were clean and basic, small fridge for water (no cooking / food facilities). Beds and pillows were very comfortable and cleaners came in every day. 1 out of the 6 rooms could have done with a bathroom makeover (no.34 - just a bit old and rusty looking but functional). Don’t book the boat trip from the hotel, half the price and more stops if booked just down the road (2 different travel places almost opposite each other). The pool was smaller than expected but never over crowded and fine for a quick dip and the location right by the sea was perfect. However, the negatives were only very minor and we had a really positive experience overall. We sat on the grass between the pool and the sea everyday and always had enough beds for all of us. The free use of kayaks (a one seater and 2 x two seaters) and paddle boards x 2 kept everyone amused and gave us no need to venture to the beach to pay for sun beds which was a huge win! There were lots of great restaurants nearby, we all loved all our meals. Most popular was Crazy Forks and Pirates (for cocktails). Greek night at the hotel was really good fun and the bbq delicious. Lunches at the hotel were also very tasty and reasonable. On my birthday the staff helped us organise a minibus and book a meal at Arillas Beach which was well worth a visit for the sunset. My niece and her friend also enjoyed a horse ride at sunset with Katreenas. A lovely fun holiday in an ideal location x

This hotel is really amazing not only is the view stunning, the staff are like an extended family. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always there to provide help or recommendations. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrella's and if you like a sea breeze the sunbeds on the lawn provide a welcome relief. Since last year the beach outside the hotel has been cleared of stones, so easy to get into the shallow waters and handy for those wishing to use the free canoes and paddleboards. Wide range of food at breakfast and the lunchtime and evening meals are value for money and really good. Another great holiday, thank you Kostas, Dimitris, Adonis, Yannis, Erika, Kinga, George, Nikos, Zoe, Maria and Vanya. Looking forward to our next visit.

We came back from the Coral Hotel on the 31 August with smiles on our faces and a few tears from my granddaughter who did not want to leave. The hotel even though only a three star, in our eyes was five star for the service, the friendliness of the staff and the ambience. It was clean and in these very weird times very COVID aware, but not so much that it impacted the holiday. Our room had sea views and mountain views. We had booked last minute so we’re only offered triple rooms, but when we got to the hotel we were give a family room and a double room very near each other, which was so thoughtful. We took out the paddle boards and kayak one morning (free of charge), which was brilliant. The breakfast although limited was lovely and served by two very happy, lovely members of staff. We only ate one meal in the evening, which was very good. The staff at the main bar and pool were brilliant and the cleaning staff very friendly. Roda itself was all we wanted, the beach was great for the children, the scenery beautiful. There was plenty of tavernas and bars to choose from to eat and drink, hence why we only eat once in the hotel and all good value for money. We will definitely return to this lovely part of Corfu.

Coral hotel is a family run hotel on the seafront. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and there is a decent sized wardrobe with plenty of hangers and a cupboard with the fridge, a couple of shelves and drawers. There is a safe which I think is free and free air-conditioning. We didn't find anything to watch on the TV but we don't usually bother. The bed is firm but comfortable. Kettle and mugs are provided, also a decent hairdryer, although I had to ask for the hairdryer.
The breakfast area is spacious and the breakfast was a good mix of continental, cakes, cereals, tinned fruit, yoghurt and bread with jams. There was also a small variety of hot food each morning. Masks and plastic gloves are required at the moment.
The pool area has quite a few sunbeds but there is also a large garden area with several more sunbeds. There are a couple of kayaks and paddle boards you can use for free. The website suggests bikes to borrow but we were told there was only 1 available and we never saw it. There are bikes to hire in Rods.
The hotel has its own restaurant which looks very nice and it has a Greek night weekly. We didn't use the restaurant as it only had vegetarian pasta and pizza and nothing vegetarian for the Greek night other than salad. However we found our favourite tavernas if you turned right out of the hotel along the seafront towards Acharavi. There are several taverna which offer traditional Greek vegetarian specialities, you get lovely sunsets and fireflies on the walk back. They might depend on the time of year! Rosa also has a good variety of tavernas. Vegetarian moussaka seems to be available at most tavernas. Some dishes can be vegan or vegetarian if you ask for feta to be included or not.
Overall I would recommend the Coral hotel and Roda. We had a great holiday and would go back.

The room was absolutely filthy and overall was very cheap and of poor standard.

The dressing table was covered in dust (like most surfaces), hair and coffee stains from previous guests. Cups provided were clearly not washed properly. Drawer handles had a layer of grime over them. The fridge was yellowing and leaking.

We asked the woman hosting for a basic cleaning spray and brush - even offering to clean the room ourselves and she simply refused. We had to purchase our own cleaning equipment. By far the worst customer service I've ever received. The room was not cleaned for the 3 days we were there.

Only positive was the free WiFi as well as the pleasant kitchen/ reception staff however this was overshadowed by the extremely poor service from the rest of the hotel.

This stay ruined the end of our cruising holiday. Please don't book with them if you want a nice, clean room with basic service.

Just returned from a superb relaxing holiday at this excellent hotel. It is far better than its 3 star grading. Full Covid awareness without any imposition on our holiday.

From arrival to departure we found all the staff to be friendly and helpful, Particular thanks to the two lovely ladies at reception, Erica and I believe Maria, nothing is too much trouble for them, always smiling , any query immediately dealt with, excellent.

We stayed in a sea view room, large balcony, large bed, good shower, recommended, Only one small negative, no kettle allowed, but that was no big deal. Very nice pool with pool bar, The whole hotel is maintained to an excellent standard.

Very good location, nearest supermarket 2 mins, a short easy stroll to the beach, tavernas, shops and other facilities 5 mins. Lovely beach, free sunbeds and parasol if you buy a drink, shallow safe warm sea. Plenty of shops, taxi rank and bus stop 10 mins stroll.

No negatives, we had a lovely holiday in this really great hotel, We will definitely return, hopefully next year, Thank you to all the staff at Coral Hotel.

The hotel is clean and well run, staff are friendly and helpful, food is reasonable. Our Room was clean and quiet. We had twin beds which were extremely comfortable but it was hot so we had to sleep with the air conditioner on full blast but still had a good nights sleep. The bathroom is small but adequate though it desperately needs modernisation, in the bedroom there were only a couple of plug sockets available the fixtures were all past their best. Wi-Fi was patchy but it is North Corfu and it was better in the bar area. The best part of the Coral is the peace and quiet, the location is fantastic close to the village of Roda but far enough away not to be bothered by noisy bars. Roda is a nice enough place but if you want to experience the best of Corfu you will need a car and nerves of steel to drive it around the narrow mountain roads and hairpin bends, it’s worth it though. The Hotel offers cars for rent at competitive rates.
If they invest in improving the rooms and upgrade the garden sun beds I would have given another star. Good but not perfect.
